Project Updates, Adolpho, Lou, Travis, Scott, Home and Farm, CJ3B Frame, Happy Independence Day !!

There is so much going on around the farm, shop, house, etc..... I had to make a video because it is easier than handling individual questions from folks. Engine work is progressing on the two Willys M38 L134 engines, and Scott's AMC/Jeep 258. Valve seat cutting on the 258 is going great and the M38 engines are coming along nicely. The NV4500 transmission went together nicely and I am just waiting on one bearing to finish it up. The CJ3B custom frame is always making progress and I am almost ready to get that frame rolling. Chicken season is underway and I will give you a quick look at just over 200 hungry birds. The cows are gaining weight daily and hopefully this fall one of them will be large enough to process.
Still working on my early Farmhouse and hoping to get the tile backsplash finished this weekend. Always lots to do around here and the chores never end. Taking a few days away from the shop to concentrate on getting the house a little further along.

Happy Independence Day Brian! I’m very curious about two things you’ve got going there. First is to see how you set up the steering for the 3B and the other is those metal bushings in the springs. How is the wearability compared to conventional bushings? Would that same idea also work on the later cj springs?

Yeah, it's just easier for us common folk to swap out NV4500s until you find a good one. 😂

There are so many folks who love the NV4500 but it is one of my least favorites. You can't stick 5th gear on the outside of the case and expect it will last. I will always choose a SM465 with an overdrive over the 4500.
