  • Dr Saran's 5 Steps to Hip Pain Relief
    Hip pain is a common complaint that can be caused by a wide variety of problems. Hip pain can make it difficult to walk, go up and down stairs, squat, or sleep on the side that hurts. A clicking or snapping feeling or sound around your hip joint (snapping hip) may bother you or cause you to worry. But if your hip is not painful, in many cases the click or snap is nothing to worry about. Home treatment may be all that is needed for minor hip symptoms.
    The precise location of your hip pain can provide valuable clues about the underlying cause.
    Problems within the hip joint itself tend to result in pain on the inside of your hip or your groin. Hip pain on the outside of your hip, upper thigh or outer buttock is usually caused by problems with muscles, ligaments, tendons and other soft tissues that surround your hip joint.
    Hip pain can sometimes be caused by diseases and conditions in other areas of your body, such as your lower back or your knees. This type of pain is called referred pain. Most hip pain can be controlled with self-care at home.

    Thank you, I have been walking with a steel toe shoes for months, I started have hip pains, one evening it got worst, I had a message and went to bed, woke up to go to the toilet, the air condition exacerbated the pain. Found your video, did one set, 70% relief was registered, was able to walk straight ( no exaggeration) I will share this video, Thank you Mr singh, this make you a fitness genius.

    This exercise was pain full for me the first week. The second week much less pain.
    Now third week and me sore hip feels a lot better and i can do this exercises with minimal pain.

    I'm a Kendo practitioner so I train 2-4 time a week, for several years now my hips been killing me. After doing the 5 steps it feels like the pains nearly gone.
    I forgot what's it like practicing without the stabbing pain in my hip.

    I used to do similar exercises and I did not have pain anywhere. Stopped doing that for a while and developed arthritis in my hip. I shall follow Dr Singh's video knowing that will help with my pain. Thank you!

    Thank you very much for your privious information.an additional,i would like to inform you that i have been suffering this problem for 7 yrs.one year ago i had done MRI the problem occured. I was delayed for check up bcoz it pains when i rotate or strech my hip.doctor said to me recently no need to do surgery.l just highlight MRI report-the mild CAM deformity with FAI at the antero-superior aspect of the acetabulum.others all are normal so i wanted to know by you after watching your video and i do optimistic for further information and recomendation.     oh my goodness if i try this with my legs i will be crying like a lil baby my hip hurts horrible on both sides my butts in the center of each and low back pain in the right side i can cross my legs but that pain in my grpins hurts a lot i wish i could do all this.

    Looks this excersices are for healthy person.

    I started experiencing this excruciating electric shot pain in my hip joint. I lasts for 1 to 10 seconds at a time and happens once every other day. Now there is a slight numbness in that area. God have Mercy, it's painful and worrisome.

    These stretches feel amazing but do you have any advice or exercise that would correct misaligned hip bones? I dislocated many years back and didn't get properly adjusted after they we're put back thus leaving my frame uneven. Meaning my right side is normal, with the normal curvature and my left side is board flat. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance:)

      Thanks!! for watching Sandra, these exercise will also help you repositioning your hip bones, however it will take continual effort as this is a chronic problem. For more evaluations find a renowned chiropractor. Keep training.

    Thank you for this video, and information as to the different areas affected, my own hip pain is to the inside near the groin and the original injury that started my pain a year ago was from bicycling up a strenuous hill. l was wondering if the first exercise you did would be good for this injury or bad as when l do a lot of bicycling or running up stairs it seems to bring on more pain, is some pain from these exercises alright to have or should l avoid anything that would agitate it, thanks Gordon.

    Hello, I am a track athlete. Mainly sprinter. Recently my front hip flexor on my right leg started to hurt. It hurts towards the top close to where my private area is. It's gotten to the point where lunging hurts a lot, and the I can feel the pain when I walk and it shoots down my right leg. Its even making me run less on my toes. Ive been stretching hips everyday for 1 year.

    Good exercises - how long to hold and how many reps?
    What if the pain is from intermediate osteoarthritis of the gip joint? Are all of these still goid to do?
    I can't cross my bad leg over my other knee w/o pain from lack of joint mobility and pain...

    when I do the hip rotation with my left leg I hear a clicking. it doesnt hurt at all but it makes the sound when my leg is at 9 o clock. should I stop doing this. I do I remedy this clicking? thanks!

    Thanks Dr. Saranjeet. These exercises helped me to relieve my pain upto 70%, but I still feel the pain when I woke up in the morning and when I go to bed, rest of the time I feel very less pain (except when I bend down). I got pain in my left hip when I was doing abs exercise on an inclined bench (my head down and knees inclined). Can you plz suggest whey I am feeling pain when I woke up and when I am go to bed ?

    I was born with subluxable hip (Where the hip bone is out of socket) and I often get hip aches and this helped a lot. :-)

    I think these would aggravate my hip labrum injury because of the ROM required to do them. I have a video that details my hip injury more. I am trying to figure out how to rehab and heal it.

      These steps will certainly help in alleviating some common hip pains, you can skip those steps in which you feel more than low to moderate pain. A complete physical evaluation is required for the precise prescription of exercises. Take care.

    While doing step 2 both of my hips pop as I complete the rotation while bring my leg back down after rotating it from the outside. My right leg's pop is much louder and I can feel it down the side of my thigh. Is this bad? It hurts a little bit. I have hip pain that I woke up with, I think its because I laid on my right side for the while night without moving, but I don't know. Your video did help relieve some of the pain, I'm just concerned about the loud deep popping in my hip. PLEASE HELP ASAP!!!!! Thank you

      MadFlo9 I have this. Mine is from SH syndrome and IT band syndrome. I had to have surgery to fix mine but I was told that it rarely gets that bad. I had it since I was a child. I would show your family doctor and ask or a referral to your orthopaedic doctor or surgeon at your hospital.

    Is it okay if I run with hip pain.

      Dark pit Do these steps only when you have low to moderate pain. Take rest till the pain subsided, then start progressively. Take care.

    I felt this after monday practice and I feel the pain when I start running and I have a big game on Saturday and it's still hurting

    I'm scared I can't rotate my hip I have pain right there when I did "Try" to rotate my hip but it kept falling down on it's own

    Dr.Thaks.As regards to me, the pain is exactly on the hip around that goes through out on the back of my legs upto the foot. This usually comes only after my sleep. I am comfortable while sitting. Can it be called hip joint pain

    i hope you can help me....For several months now I've been experiencing pain to my right hip area, only when lying down. It does not hurt to walk at all or sit,.But when I get to bed, this nagging pain starts and won't let me get comfortable. I haven't had any injuries, Any ideas?

      Hi Khenz, there could be many reasons of this pain. Just go for an MRI for better evaluation before it worsens. Take care.

    Sir,my left leg hurts when i flex it to do a normal taekwondo kick.My other leg it's normal,without any pain.But,i feel a crackle when i do some exercices of yours,without pain.I can't do fully taekwondo kicks fully with my both legs because of my left leg.it hurts me when i flex in into a normal kick.When i lift my left leg alone,by himself,i'm feeling a sound in the leg.what should i do?
