As a Christian I have always been interested in Israel but never been there and what I see in film is Jerusalem. I know of Tel Aviv but never realized it had such a beautiful beach and was such an interesting place. Thank you for sharing, this was one of my favorite videos yet.
Tell Aviv is the LGBT capital of the world. Your Bible calls Jerusalem as well, " Sodom and Egypt" for a reason.
The Bible tells us that the believer in Christ is the Seed of Abraham, and the Israel of God.

I just returned from Israel yesterday. Tel Aviv is SUPER cool. It is a modern and mostly a secular city, and it feels like the entire city is one giant construction zone. And yes it is expensive for sure. But I will say that the food quality there is among the best you will find anywhere in the world.
There are 1500 construction projects underway. In 10 years Tel Aviv will be unrecognizable

Not sure food is better in France or in Italy and other countries of Europe.

Awesome! Never seen this side of Israel before, and it looks amazing!
@Mohammed Marwan Keep dreaming. Go study the bible, history and archeology.
@Mohammed Marwan Tel Aviv was founded by Zionist Jews in 1909 on empty sands. To call it "Palestine" is ridiculous.

I have never heard or seen in any such document anything called Palestine!

What you answer me is like how much the ice costs, and he answers you that sugar costs 1 dollar,
Hey man, this is the territory of the Jews long before the Arabs came from Jordan and decided to take over the Jews
So you and everyone else can continue to dream, but here the Jewish state will remain forever!
@Mohammed Marwan The quran says that the jews will come back, and they did. Pity that many moslims objected fought and harassed the returing jews in the holy land.

I was a guard inside One of the most visited monument in Rome, the Pantheon for 25 years. Visitors used to ignore me or they approached only for silly questions (One was "Is Pisa tower far from here?" About, 350 kms!). Tel Aviv is real expensive but as for food, you don't have to go to restaurants. There is varied street food-not only felafel or sabich-healthy,tasty and cheaper !
Just leave tel aviv and go north and you will have amazing food for normal prices. Visit akko ! Haifa..
Israel is the country with the best food in the world. It has taste and color and smell, not like the European food that has no taste... 😃
Street food is also expensive here, plus if you care about your health and don't consume synthetic fats/gluten/soy, you might get broke just by eating out. The grocery shopping is also expensive but a bit less, it's tolerable at the moment. I'm allergic to most cheap ingredients apparently, so I mostly cook at home. And still, financially struggling.
@@nananan14 for tourism purposes I agree, but you can't compare the remote small cities to Tel Aviv. And if someone wants to make a decent living in Israel, the only place where there's tech and international companies, is Tel Aviv (and the surrounding cities, considered under the Tel Aviv-Yafo district).
I have an Israeli Jewish friend who resembles a lot like Gabriel. I always use to wonder when shall I’ll get to see Israel by Gabriel Traveler and I am glad the video is out finally. Thanks for showing Tel Aviv. Love from India❤️❤️

Hey man a question for you. Are you using the DJI osmo action still for these video? My shitty gopro 8 broke today. Just like the previous one ls I had lol from gopro. Thinking of buying a osmo action instead.
Hey William, yeah I'm still filming with the Osmo. There's a link in the description. I recommend the older Osmo 1, the newer one looks really complicating to use. The Osmo has been super rock solid for two years now.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos ok thanks man I'll use your link. Yes somehow it seems like all newer cameras have something weird with them. I don't understand why. The
never models of gopros freeze and also dont stay waterproof. And also the colors and brightness are weird on the newer ones.
I agree about the strange colors, that's exactly why I dumped the Gopro and switched to the DJI, I think the color scheme is better. And it never freezes up or overheats. There are actually a bunch of advantages vs. the Gopro in terms of the practical aspects. It starts up and turns off quicker, it doesn't disconnect randomly when charging it. So many glitches in the Gopro that the DJI doesn't have. I still have a Gopro which I only use for underwater shots, to keep my DJI from being affected by the saltwater.
Wasn't so expensive when I was there 10 years ago.... prices must have taken off
J’adore Tel Aviv. The art scene and the cafe culture are top notch. I visited in March and planning to come back sometime in December. The breads they sell in the open market is like heaven. The Israeli’s are very welcoming. Enjoy your stay Gabriel 😀

@@LaurenMiddleton28 And obesity.
@@LaurenMiddleton28 I did wonder about that seeing so many scooters, motorbikes and bicycles looking unsecured, at least at first glance. I assumed the ones with identical color and helmets were rentals while others were personally owned. It's great to hear crime and theft is so low there. I live near a beach in Orange County California, and while it's a good neighborhood, you still don't leave anything unsecured at the beach. Too many homeless people moving along the coastal communities and petty theft in general is rather high in many areas of California. Depends on the specific area of course. Some neighborhoods are certainly worse than others.

Gabe, thanks again for doing up the unexpected explore. This is a lovely short explore through a very intriguing esoteric historical part of the world. You make me wish I could just fly over there right now to do life like a freebird in a paradise riddled with the history of a clash of cultures, conquering empires, wars for profit, lore of legend, thriving fish tales of prosperity, and uh, genocides of conspiracy. I really know nothing much about this place, but it seems quite very familiar. I could stay a long a while in a place like that until the Welcome mat were to be ripped from under my feet causing what is portrayed as being an accidental fall. Gabe knows not a stay at a tourist hostel for too long nor get too lazy under the Sun depending on others to serve feelings of entitlement. I'd have to stay a little longer though to explore the historic sites, museums, and the military history of those very cobbled streets being drenched in the blood of innocents which is always cleaned up as soon as possible regardless where in the world such unthinkable atrocities occur which is actually every land and even sea around the big blue ball.

Perfect rendition of Tel Aviv
I love Tel Aviv! It's such a shame though that it's so expensive! I just hope that at least the buying power of its citizens is equally high or else it would be devastating for them
Average salaries in Tel Aviv are around 55k USD/year.
+ Israelis have free k-12 education, subzidized universities and a developed universal healthcare system.
The average tel avivian has an equivalent purchasing power of an average kiwi or italian in their respective local markets.
But in nominal terms a much higher income and that's why israelis prefer to spend their holidays in europe. Other than few exceptions, pretty much anywhere in europe and the world for that matter is cheaper.
Rocketing upward inflation is the big catch 22 going on in most places now. I'm really noticing it this Summer in the USA. If too long and too much, then it's truly devasting even for people who thought they were quite well off enough to have food, housing, fun life experiences, and economic security for life while us of more modest means now have thin raped wallets and cash accounts with rising credit card debt. However, we're all being stared down by an unprecedented new world order out of chaos brought on by greed having no upper limit of old empires of sellouts on their way out as new empires rise to the occasion of building a new bloody history of conquest and profiteering. It is a shame indeed.
Israel is very expensive. Those who live in Tel Aviv are from the top economic tiers (working in hi tech etc.) due to the increasing outrages housing prices which are the most expensive in the world, especially in terms of the buying power of the average Israeli. These outrages housing prices apply to all of Israel but especially to Tel Aviv, Jerusalem and the center of Israel. Food, electronics and basically everything you can think of is super expensive and many households can't make ends meet.
@@BlueUmbrella5584 Thanks. I see it wouldn't be mind kind of place, but a tourist could go affordably for a while. I understand quite a few Americans have moved to Israel being Jewish and all who are in the money.
It really depends on where exactly do you live and what are your expenses. Tel Aviv is like a different country - the housing prices are insane because everybody wants to live in walking or biking distance to the bustling urban-beach center and the houses there are old and no high-risers were approved there - so you get all those young graduates moving to the city looking to live the single life and living in small decrepit divided apartments with room mates for like 2000$ a month (each person!). meanwhile I live just an hour and a half drive away in Haifa and pay 1000$ as mortgage for a decent sized 3 bedroom apartment (but I got a great deal, prices now are approaching 1500$, but for a much much much nicer place than those places in Tel Aviv, and with no room mates!). Also keep in mind that with universal healthcare I only pay 10$ for a specialist doctor consultation (I can go private and pay 300$, and this is fully paid by my extra private health insurance that covers my family for about 800$ a year). CT and MRI are also 10-20$. I didn't want to wait for a late appointment so paid 1400$ for a quick MRI done privately, and was refunded the entire amount from my extra insurance mentioned above. Also, unless you have a super specific type of disease that the drugs for it are new or not covered - you never have to worry about cost of treatment. There is no "Breaking Bad" type deal here, as Walther would have gotten an automatic 100% income tax break for a year, 100% disability so he gets paid a monthly allowance by social security, had he gotten a cheap teacher's group policy private healthcare insurance that would be a few years worth of salary paid directly, a monthly cap of about 200$ for deductibles in all treatment related expenses etc...
But food and gas and cars and toiletries are about twice as expensive as the US, and it's getting harder and harder to afford an apartment even in the cheaper peripheral cities. Just for reference, the average income per person is about 36K$ and the median is 24K$ so you can see there is also a very big income inequality problem.
One of my fav cities in the world.

Love it! You brought me memories! Indeed Tel Aviv is super expensive, I went end of September and still the hotels were expensive, I stayed first in bat yam, then after i returned from Jerusalem i stayed near Fisherman's. If you still there, try to have breakfast in Carmel Market, best shashuka you can find and more affordable prices. Jerusalem is a little bit less pricey, but avoid staying in the shabbat, specially if you need transportation, it's super expensive. I remember I went to Jordan the weekend to avoid it.
I remember right before we ported in Haifa, Israel in 2000 (no smartphone and no Google) while I was deployed as a U.S. Marine I thought Israel and even Tel Aviv would be this ultra conservative place and when I first arrived to Tel Aviv I saw hot women crowding the beach and immediately thought I was in Miami😂😂😂

Amazing 👏 ❤ thank you. God bless you your family and friends ❤
You missed filming the most famous feature of Tel Aviv - sitting on the beach watching the huge red sun sink into the Med. While the prices for food are high in those areas, geared toward tourists and well-paid hipsters, the main issue driving the TLV rating for priciest city is the cost of housing. Tiny apartments there can go for $1M-$2M, if you can find one. It's definitely NOT a cheap vacation spot, but it is worthwhile and interesting to see while you are in the country touring the historical sites.
Come to the negev desert much less expensive and amazing landscape
