This track really throws me back to the Steve Perry Gregg Rolie era which is always icing on the cake for any hardcore Journey fan :)
Love this song. This is classic Journey with a 70's feel sounding guitar and hammond organ. Harmonies are reminiscent of the day when Rollie was in the band. My favorite song so far!

The year was 1977 around February when Journey's NEXT album came out and I had just moved to the south bay area in San Mateo county, CA. listening to Journey on KSAN FM in San Francisco! I am also a Gregg Rolie fan also!
Journey is my favorite band of all time and I will be forever grateful that Arnel Pineda brought these guys back from the brink in 07, even though no one can EVER replace Steve Perry, Arnel has done better than anyone could ever imagine. All that being said, in the few attempts to create new music since Arnel join in 07 nothing has really souded right. The old stuff always has been, and always will be great, but let me tell you something, even though Arnel Pineda has been the lead singer of Journey for 15 years, THIS IS HIS COMING OUT PARTY! They allowed Arnel to be Arnel and not a Steve Perry clone, and it shows! Best pure rock album in years! If you haven’t heard it your missing out! #10 on the track list (Holdin On) is probably the best pure rock song I've heard in 25 years. Taking me back to the 80's Baby!

Another great sound of this new Album of Journey! It's worth the wait! This music has great lyrics, tempo, and the extravaganza of Journey's signature musicians in the works most especially Neal! You did it again, Arnel with incredible vocals!WOW! I have to have a copy of this album -soon!

I think Neal's "Journey Through Time" project influenced this album... love it... absolutely live this entire album.
Has alot more of Journeys classic sound. Lyrically vocally it’s almost like they the songs on this album were wrote for Steve Perry to sing. I have listened to them so much that I can hear him sounding like Perry yet Perry has never sang these songs and the difference would be Perry would have more soul. I like this album so far it’s like they just did Journey music didn’t try anything new or updated sounding just classic Journey sound!

Then I started to binge watching again his old videos and found some pretty surprising male version of him of 4nonblonde's "What's up? " ruclips.net/video/jJhN97IH54E/видео.html and Heart's "Alone" ruclips.net/video/0A4RUXWoSlk/видео.html. WTF! this guy can sing anything! Those songs just demonstrated his vocal prowess. He is a very versatile singer. He always sings with passion and soul. The power and range of his voice is unbelievable! He can sing songs a lot of singers can't ever touch including stove perry himself!
