What an excellent idea to eat your way across country at DD&D places. Made what could have been a totally boring trip more fun. I know, I lived in Arkansas for eight years in my younger years and yes, it is a beautiful state with many vacation areas because of the lakes and rivers. Traveling so far can be monotonous, but you made great memories for you and your mother. The Flagstaff sign must have been a welcome sight. Welcome home mom. Laurie

Wow, what a long drive! You planned it well Jen, with accommodation and where you were going to eat. Getting in some mother and daughter time as well. I’d say you and your mom were happy to finally arrive home.
Oh boy, were we ever ready to get home! Days 2 and 3 of the trip felt the longest. It did make a difference to have a special meal to look forward to each day. :) Happy New Year to you, Grace! --Jen
