This is how the comment section supposed to look like. No one bashing each other, just ppl congratulating 2 bands putting on a great product on the field. Why cant we have more of this in our community ?
Criticism and insensitivity often come from non-musicians or general spectators who don’t realize how much time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears are put into being in a band.
I swear that comes from most of those other swac fans and band heads. They can never give honest criticism it’s always “This band sucks and my band is the best ever”
In the RUclips era where 5th quarters have really become the focal point for most bands and fans of bands, The Marching 100 and BGMM really place an emphasis on strong field performances, and it's absolutely refreshing. The Marching 100 is really a band that you have to experience in person, because I don't think the fullness and strength of their sound can truly be grasped through videos. That is a powerful band a lot of younger people who don't get exposed to 100 in person during the season don't truly realize it.
Everyone need to take notice in what true sportsmanship, camaraderie, pride, and appreciation looks like. Although it was a competition, bith origrams put theur all into it and no feelings were had afterwardsn All the isht talking is coming from the non affiliates. M100 AEA
Soooooo proud of BGMM. Loved the show, Love all their shows. Congratulations are in order for FAMU. Aggies and Rattlers have mad respect for each other. Loved FAMU show as well. Congratulations Rattlers, that last part of your show was 🔥🔥🔥
First let me say. Congratulations FAMU. Well deserved 👏Now to the BGMM, outstanding show. The sound was top notch. GD looked amazing. Now on to Honda! AGGIE PRIDE 💙💛💙💛
Both had great shows. These two bands have really set the bar high. It’ll be interesting to see what FAMU does in the next few years now that they are back to their old standard. Congrats to the Marching 100!!
@tedwilliams185 I was speaking in general terms not specifically about BOTY. They are finally back in stride after making a comeback. It will be interesting to see how they do in the next few years
@@truthseeker5591 well I’m sure they will be back to the same Marching 100. The difference is this BOTB they had plenty of time to practice. I would not expect much from them during the season.
I love the excellence and sportsmanship between these academic and athletic powerhouses. They represent the best of HBCUs and BLACKNESS. I’m a proud Morehouse Man, and I love to see these kids carry on the legacy of BLACK excellence, which is ALL HBCUs ❤🖤🖤♥️
FAMU Flag corp is very dynamic+ I can remember several years ago the Flag Corp wore fatigues! Mannn, they used to bring it! You could hear the cracks and pops from the flags as they would whip them around in sequence!
You couldn't go wrong with either of these awesome shows. They both brought their A game! As a NCAT fan, i have to say FAMU was amazing! 🔥🔥🔥. NCAT did what they normally do.❤️ ❤️❤️ Both stayed true to their style. Definitely a great competition!!! Congratulations FAMU!!! 🏆
FAMU was immaculate in all phases. One of the most disciplined cleaned shows the 100 has performed. A&T was amazing but too conservative with their movements. They stayed in the center of the field compared to FAMU’s constant movement across the entire field with constant animations and formations. Both bands showed top tier talent and placed traditional marching band excellence over cranking although both had strong full sounds. I enjoyed the competition and keep up the great work. Your effort deserves our praise and honor. 🐍🐍
As a BGMM fan. I have to say FAMU was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. Both bands are not to be played with on that field. The best bands imo on the field. They know how to put on actual fieidshows. And that's what HBCU band culture is about! Congratulations FAMU on your win. Like the late James Brown said "SAY IT LOUD" lol .😂.
I see why both these are 1 and 2. Both really good shows. I give the slight edge to FAMU on musicality and overall effect. A&T lost a bit of energy after the drum feature for me. But both were darn good!
Got to give credit to A&T staff and students cause field wise they had a tough schedule to prepare for. Preparing for falcons game , BOTY and Honda is a lot all at once. The work ethic is amazing. lol JSU folks saying they dropped out of BOTY to focus on rose bowl parade, but didn’t A&T do Both last year ? The staff at A&T is working them damn students so 💯 for that.
I had the honor of marching with the Marching 100 in 1988 under the leadership of Dr. William P. Foster, with Shelby Chipman serving as my Trumpet Section Leader. I am confident that Dr. Foster would be immensely proud of both Bands. HUBBA North Carolina A&T and HUBBA 100 for continuing to uphold the legacy of excellence.
As a longtime member of the Marching "100" and a music educator, I believe both schools put on outstanding performances and could serve as excellent role models for young musicians. The difference in scoring likely stemmed from the choices of music and arrangements. Not all songs translate well into effective marching band arrangements. In the music category, the Marching "100" showcased a remarkably clean ensemble sound, with clear separation of voices and excellent balance, particularly in the percussion section. The unique arrangements of the Marching "100" set them apart from other HBCUs. Their performances stay true to the original compositions rather than sounding like distorted variations that leave the audience guessing.
Watched this on ESPN and came away with questions about NCAT. But after watching and listening again NCAT put on a great show and the sound was great along with selections. Congrats to both bands.
Great job bands. Congrats FAMU , the percussion with that cymbal drop definitely is what cost the 1 point difference in the scores with the judges. A&T show was phenomenal. FAMU sound was just amazing hands down. Both programs are top tier
Spot on. FAMU definitely put on a better choreographed show. The Sound was awesome. It was great to see and hear both of these bands minus the shade from the announcers and playing to and for the Audience and not the opposing band. SWAC bands need to take note. That trash talking show stealing announcers have grown stale. Let the Bands performances do their talking. CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH BANDS. I TRUELY ENJOYED....💚🧡💙💛...........💛💙
Congratulations FAMU. I’m proud of all the students from both Universities. My son is a Senior Bass Drum section leader in the Marching 100. Those students work hard . I told my son block out the negative put GOD first and let your Bass Drum be your mouthpiece. To all of the staff at both Universities great job.

Agreed‼️

As an Aggie, I'm super proud of our students. Aggie Pride.. Congratulations to FAMU
Both bands are 1st class. Best in the business.
Congratulations to all participants. Props to FAMU for their precision in high stepping.
Cleanest FAMU performance iv seen in a good while
Now this was a Battle 💪🏽
They both were stunning. Sounds were BOTH impeccable. Congratulations to Famu

@@truthseeker5591 I’m almost sure FAMU won’t come back for a few years. That’s the same thing they did with the Honda BOTB.

@@tedwilliams185 This is 100K unlike other BOTB. So dont assume based off of past participation. They need that money.

💯💯💯 I second that motion!

Great show NCAT!!!! Congrats FAMU 🧡💚 Proud Alumni
The F with the band is what the 3rd years and up wear as a patch on a letterman
Best HBCU field band of the Year!
NCAT Otis Redding try a little tenderness was 🔥.
Being a Marching 100 alum I always liked A&T they did an excellent job.

This is what the hundred is capable when the school lets them get enough practice
you know exactly why their practice time was reduced along with the other restrictions they currently operate under.
@ who is they? The kids who where in elementary when “it” happened. They are soo removed from that.
@@AGB32805| Still…
@ using YOUR analogy, many of us never drove our cars without wearing a seatbelt either BUT it’s the law now for a good reason!

The only band that couldve beat A& T in the Swac is FAMU IMO. Good job both bands. EXCELLENT FAMU🐍🐍🐍🐍

FAMU has always been the HiFi sound of HBCU's! No parking and blasting form them! Every instrument gets to eat! Impeccable performance!
Criticism and insensitivity often come from non-musicians or general spectators who don’t realize how much time, effort, blood, sweat, and tears are put into being in a band.
Both Bands did Great but my FAMU is Very First Class hard to beat in a competition they are a very different level in my opinion from watching this.
NCAT entire show is only in the hash marks, and its noticeable
Just wish the Drum Majors weren’t as stone faced. It’s like none of them have their own special swagger.
You will make people hate your channel for giving Famu all this credit. You know, JSU fans are still punching the air.
JSU as in Step-Two Stand Band JSU 😂😂😂😂
Both bands were AMAZING! However, Fam was slightly better.
Rattler derangement syndrome 😂😂😂
Sonic Hedge-Hogs are a step 2 drill, no dancing and playing either
Copy and paste is what yall do JSU
@ Do you know that JSU has never won one A BOTY? 😂😂😂😂😂
A&T show was boring Famu hands down won the show
Nice show! Aggie proud parent! Our kids work hard and we are so proud of them. 💪🏽🫶🏽 #Honda let’s go! Congratulation FAMU
