A glimpse into the future of education. Say goodbye to a big ass books on Modern Physics and say hello to a deeply interactive and responsive experiments.
So very cool. I would love to work in the VR/XR industry some day selling this kind of product to universities and schools. VR is the future of education and remote work.
Good video. I see a few comments complaining about the graphics but graphics are not important as the feeling of immersion still feels real; your brain tricks you into thinking what you are seeing is real even if it doesn't look like it. There have even several studies into education in VR and it's been proven time a day time again that your brain finds it much easier to compute and remember actual experiences than just reading from a text book or being taught. VR is most certainly the future, but for the time being it will be mobile based vr rather than the top-of-the-range headsets shown in the video.
No, they will be not. Not all the types of information transmission is best for XR field, espcially the most basic type - factual knowledge, has been shown to be less effective in XR field than learning it from a presentation or a book.
Amazing! Focused Intent and Emotion is how everything is and was created. This technology brings that to the forefront of learning. I feel this is a calling for me and look forward to researching this more. Thanks!
My congrats on a superb toolset for immersive learning! Have you created a proforma template for integrating this tool into a traditional syllabus in terms of learning outcomes?
I teach technology education and am trying to teach students how to not just use but create VR and am looking for any curriculum/resources, I saw the engage website in the link and will be exploring it, but am trying to find an outline of how to teach VR (the goal is students learn how to create for VR not just use it) Does anyone know of any resources to teach VR (creation, authoring etc?)
Hullo I am a 360 filmmaker... I shoot and edit videos with 360 cameras. I walk in a medical facility by day and I would love to use my note 8 and my occulus gear vr to showcase the lecturers ... aspects of medicine that can be experienced by VR ... do you know various apps or use cases that the medical lecturers could incorporate into their teaching ... for now I cant afford a vive vr ... I just have a gear vr and a note 8. what experiences do you recommend to stimulate interest in vr in medical field
Klotschie in VR even few simple elements can make you feel present and engaged. Very powerful, especially with hands presence and room-scale tracking. your mind makes up for the lack of realism, and you still can retain information, and remember your experiences as if you were "there". Additionally, VR apps shown here are not made by 500 people teams spending 4 years on 1 AAA title :) this will happen though. You can see more of that with the PlayStation VR.
It looks like they've not improved anything in over 4 years since this video came out. Engage is pretty terrible. So what happened? The account creation and typing is bad. The menus are bad. The home space is bland feels dated. The pre-built lessons (e.g. build an engine) feel dated and are flawed (you don't need to think about what you're doing since objects just click into place). Mozilla Hubs, AltSpace, and Spatial are much more of a pleasure to use, easier to use, have more content, allow better use of assets, and it shows in how much more active they are right now.
Cool!. but the graphics suck! but the concept is very convincing. This means that everyone can use this sort educational tooling by themselves rather then to sit in a classroom all day. For fuck sake!, work on the the realisme on the visual fidelity.. Secondly, make the VR headsets affordable and smaller, this will likely happen in a few years, then you may have a potential market..
Ground breaking! This is going to be a paradigm in learning eventually.

i have learned more things in vr then i ever did in school. vr education needs to come forward and push lectures/school out the window.

Great 👍
I will be apart of vr development with education as well. So exciting seeing how far this has come
Please Put This On the Oculus Quest! School has put me in horrible places this would help me so much!
Imagine we all use vr headsets for school and we can all be different characters, OMG THAT WOULD BE SO COOL, you can show what your teaching
i really like learning in vr. i hope oneday the textbooks we learn things from get completly converted into virtual reality experiences.

I feel the same way!

Why not teach how to program in python or cc+ Teach how to build the game?
Permission to take a few scenes for education. Later we will provide the source. Thank you in advance
when we want to do something new there always have many difficulty.
I wish you would make some educational virtual reality games/apps on learning computers

Hi could you contact me? Looking to introduce VR in our K-12 school
Ya Ya , The experience would be great!
but the cost of a course in VR will be.........!?
likith gk less than the cost of 12 years worth of school supplies
It's free
can i have one sir pleaassee
Hlo srr i really love this can i get a chance to win this this is so osm😱
They key is not making education more "fun" but offering an in-game advantage through education.
Gamers gonna gobble that shit up.
not that bad, but the graphics are.
haha :V
Klotschie it's probobly designed for use on low end vr computers, hopefully they have a graphics setting for better computers

John Malkovich
I've used vr, and that's not the case for me.
John Malkovich Not to mention it'll improve over time anyway
Ya, but, it's made with Potato Engine 5.0.

They're doing it wrong.
GlobalCop Hi, can you tell me why ? I'm in this field as well and hearing your thoughts would be appreciated !
@@zakariabot5387 hey I want to start a project about education through vr in my country? How can I contact you?
The bold guy sounds a bit like Trump XD
