I'd still be bothered even if they did pay for it but that's mostly because I am the type to book somewhere interesting and unique for the experience and opportunity to take some photos... If I wanted a hotel I would look up hotels not Airbnb's... planning a trip is a stressful process... Imagine someone intentionally misleading you for someone else's entertainment... 5 star means nothing to me.

This is insane. I ALMOST booked this BNB for my birthday. I actually almost booked it no joke. I would’ve been heartbroken when I would’ve seen what it really was. Thank God I didn’t actually book😔😂😂😂

@@lizkrisenthal8259 I actually didn’t ! I feel insane that I didn’t notice it. The reason I didn’t book was because my friend was looking for something else. But I was obsessed with it 😭. I still can’t believe I didn’t realise the bottle !

It actually worked in their favor. They got their money back and got to stay at an all-expenses-paid hotel.
If the actual accommodations weren’t an upgrade, then I’d be pissed. Especially if I were looking for something specific. But I guess if so, I’d pay more attention to the pictures. It may still be annoying to some people though. 🤷🏼♀️

During the Cricket World Cup, I traveled around the country following the team. I most of the time, I just travelled for the day with my dad, but for Southampton, I wanted to take my mum and sister as they love ships. I had saved up for 2 years, literally not even taking the bus and walking so as save money for my dream of following the team around the country. Booking 2 rooms at decent hotels would have been too expensive so I looked at Air BnB. I almost booked one, but for some reason, something felt off. I did a reverse image search and it turns out the original photos came from Hong Kong and the place didn't exist in Southampton!
In the end, I booked another Air BnB place, which was amazing and the hosts were super sweet, but also just to be safe, I booked in a hotel with free cancellation. i was super worried and am so glad that it was all okay as it would have been heartbreaking for me to try and do something nice for the family and end up in a mess.

It would be interesting to do a follow up video of how Airbnb will respond when you tell them and call them out.
This is absolute gold. Airbnb is rubbish. I stayed in a place in Auckland and the woman kept a camera in the room and kept texting me things she would only know if she was in the locked room. Airbnb refused to give me a refund and said that I couldn't mention it in the review because it "wasn't about the place you rented".

Grovesnor Hotel is beautiful! We’ve stayed twice when we were in London. It’s a better trade off by far.

I had a house on a island awhile ago and we were trying to sell it well selling it our realtor messaged me asking if we had listed the house on Airbnb we said no and she sent us pictures of it and it was our house, we messaged the guy renting it out (even though it was our house and he had no permission) and he said he was a priest sent by god to make money by listing houses that weren't his he then proceeded to ask for pictures of my family when we said no his account was suddenly deleted and we never found him online again.
