    I think being sensible and buying luxury bags are two things that don't intuitively go together, but I think you are the most sensible luxury vlogger on youtube. You are so funny, clever and self aware, it's a real joy watching you. Thanks for the great video!

    I'm loving this new content Emma. I too have come to the realisation that I had an addiction which only got worst as I earned more money and the quality is not always there.

    Buying what other people love….. oh that was me, fortunately only for a very short time. Example, the mini pochette… I lusted after that item, when I finally got it home, I knew, nope. No no and no. I have a ridiculous amount of great pouches, great quality, leather, etc. The mini pochette hit me hard with the realization that I only purchased it because RUclips told me that my life wasn’t complete without it. At then, $500, I realized for me, it was a stupid purchase. I sent it back and have never regretted it. The price of that little pouch is even more insane now, I don’t get it. That said, Christmas animation has me nearly buying it again every single season😂😂😂 oh well…. As usual, great great video!

      The price is crazy now! I sold mine too. I found the chain more of an inconvenience than anything else

    Yep, I wish I started earlier too for the same reason. RUclips (you) gave me permission to buy these things because I didn't even know it was an option for us non-celebrity folks! I think my collection would look a bit different, and I'd probably have one more classic flap. 😊

    Thank you for this! Great video! And you are right, my impulse luxury boys, have been my most used. The ones I watched over and over and over in YT and thought they love hit! I will love it - well..... after a bit ofttimes - not so much!

    Love this video! You’re bang on! I found that the bags RUclipsrs like for example Louis Vuitton Pochette Métis or Felicie or Louis Vuitton Multi Pochette Accessories etc- I started liking based on the reviews and when I bought I immediately returned because they aren’t my style. However, everyone hated my Petite Malle trunk and guess what? I am completely in love with it and wouldn’t trade it for the world. It’s different and iconic and I have no regrets!! Buy what you love and don’t follow the crowd. You’ll have your pieces a lot longer. I also went from 25 luxury high end bags down to just 9 and I am looking forward to adding the petite boite to my collection. I have my Chanel classic flap and my jumbo and I adore those as well. All keepers! Zero regrets 💜

    I can’t agree more with all the points you made especially don’t over plan and stress about a purchase those normally mean you are taking others into consideration rather just walk into store and fall madly in love with the purchase you will have the most fun wearing it every time

    No matter if it's the HIDUPZ or any other, my steadfast belief stands that only practitioners can perceive dissimilarities in the sack looks or the metal constituents

    I still love my LV reverse monogram *yutulux* clutch! It's versatile, fits a variety of items, and is definitely a workhorse! I think seeing it everywhere (like the LV speedy) is proof that it's already a classic.

    I agree - my impulse bags are some of my favourite and most used ones. However personally have sold most f not all my impractical bags. My lifestyle has changed, I spend a lot more time out now, as in going out for a whole day vs just 1 meal or activity. So its rlly important for me to be able to carry all my stuff.

    I sold my neverfull pouches to Fashionphile in 2020 when they were brand new never used for $400. I think at the time I paid around $1400 for my neverfulls, so selling the pouches lowered the cost of the bags for me. No regrets

    I buy for functionality because it works for me. I've bought stuff in the past for other reasons e.g aesthetics and I realized that I didn't get much use out of those things compared to my functional pieces. Nowadays I think critically e.g do I really need it? Will I get much use out of it? If I feel conflicted about something, I save the item to one of my Pinterest sections, wait it out and see how I really feel about it later. Or I simply let go and reason "since am doubtful, I'll let go and if it's meant to be, it'll be" and I feel at peace with these decisions.

      Me too. I’m not a person who will be happy making something work. If it’s not functional I won’t use it and now I won’t buy it.

    Twillys!! I have 4 Hermes … no point! RUclips videos made me think I needed them for my “naked” bag handles! Never use! Need to sell 🙈
    And so true about the stress of using designer bags… most of mine just sit looking pretty on the shelf 😑

    I love chanel flap small but the chain is too short, do u also have the same problem?

    • @Emmaanders
      @Emmaanders  3 месяца назад +1

      The long is waaaay to long to crossbody and yet the short is… how do I put it… not flattering crossbody but lovely as a long shoulder

    • @suzannehall5200
      @suzannehall5200 3 месяца назад

      I have the same issue. I love the jumbo because the chain is long enough to wear crossbody, but the short chain on the small and the medium drive me crazy. My shoulders are triangular, not square, so I can’t keep a bag strap on one shoulder. It falls off every two seconds and I won’t wear them, so the smaller flap bags will never work for me.

    I bought my first luxury bag at 67 years old, after I retired. Prior to that, being a senior executive, I was concerned that luxury bags would make me appear shallow or flaunting my wealth. The problem now is that the bags I love are for my fantasy not real retirement life, where I have no occasions to wear the impractical but beautiful bags . I could barely use what I have. Buying a bag and not using it makes me feel guilty 🥲Any advice?
