    Tomlov 4k sensor, lens and DSP - high detail, larger base - multi swivel arm, well built 10.1 inch IPS screen, High zoom, Ring light, filters/diffusers, various modes: compare, ruler, connecting to multi external screens - its a steal

    I use Andonstar microscope (but with a different model) to do some basic soldering. It’s amazing. I love it a lot!

    great video, nice to see a review before I purchase. I have 1 question, when you were looking at the slides, how did you record the screen? I dont mean the camera behind you, but how were you recording while you were looking at teh slides. did you have the microscope hooked up to the computer? Maybe I missed that part.

      @titanrepairs  Месяц назад

      I believe you can hook it up to a computer. But the microscope allows you to record video to a microSD card. Though recently I've had issues of videos actually recording to it (I've had entire videos go missing or only partly recorded) which is problematic as a content creator lol. I'm gonna try other solutions. It could possibly be my memory card too. I haven't swapped it yet to see.

    This is really useful tool for birthday gift.
    I was considering to choose this one or cheap bino-microscope (7x-45x) for painting miniature.

      I like to treat myself with my birthday money every year because I'm worth it 😆 Screw paying the bills or responsibility!
      I've never painted miniatures but I'm wondering if this may be a bit overkill with the lenses? Andonstar makes a bunch of different models. I'm sure the tabletop community can give you better insights too 🙂

      @@titanrepairs Thanks for your suggestion, I have a 2x (not sure if it's 3x) 10 cm diameter of loupe on hand, but the power is still not enough to see the details.
      I also try 5x and 10x loupe which can help seeing more details but the short focus distance is not good for painting.
      last night, I purchased sony imx334 camera + 200x zoom + stand around 220USD which can get 10 - 17 cm working distance. Hopefully it's a right choice.XD

      @@bibo987945 How about one of those visor-zoom-things? They could be amazing for painting, even more if object is hand held and you can manipulate it... Also the focal depth would be really bad for painting on a microscope like this... If you want it on screen: Get a 4K industrial cam and hdmi it to your TV or monitor. And then a lens with more focal depth...

      If you're talking about something like surgical glasses, the high quality one isn't cheap.
      The camera imx334 is very nice, but is not suitable for painting.
      Maybe the bino-microscope would be the right choice.

    Brother, when I plug in the HDMI cable the display on the microscope goes black. That means I only see an image on the desktop screen. Can you tell me why?

    • @titanrepairs
      @titanrepairs  2 месяца назад

      Hey! I have actually never used the HDMI cable. I just use the built in screen when I'm using it and recording to the SD card. Check the settings. I remember it had some weird options set by default. As far as I know, it should be able to do both simultaneously. But I'm not 100 sure on that.

    If you go to UHD and try and press record does yours work? Mine does not. All other modes record video at the resolution chosen but UHD no.

    • @titanrepairs
      @titanrepairs  11 месяцев назад

      I'll have to check. I never tested UHD since I record my videos in 1080. You may need to check the class of your memory card. Lower classes can do HD video fine but UHD needs a higher class to handle the bandwidth of the higher resolution. So yeah I'd check that first ☺️

    I think they neglected to include the USB power block in your package. I unboxed 3 different models of theirs, including yours, and all of them were packaged with power blocks. Btw, I never figured out what those screws were for either.

    • @titanrepairs
      @titanrepairs  11 месяцев назад

      That is possible. Though I don't remember seeing it included on the list of things that it came with. Though frustratingly a lot of companies are neglecting to include it. I just bought a new Motorola Razr and it wasn't included either. Anything to save these companies a penny right? And the price I paid for the phone it should have been included. I'm just glad I went nuts in my home and installed a bunch of USB outlets. But people who didn't now have to buy these power adapters. And there's a lot of cheap crappy ones that can ruin devices.

    • @davidsh331x
      @davidsh331x 11 месяцев назад

      @@titanrepairs - Yep, I think phone manufacturers figure that the majority of phone buyers still have an old phone with a power block still plugged in and available for re-use. In most cases I think they are right, as supported by the large bag of charging blocks on a shelf in my closet.

      @@titanrepairs Honestly, there's so many of these damned things I actually respect companies not including them. We have enough electronic and plastic waste. I have north of 20 of them, most of which I don't even have a use for (for the exact reason of getting one with every product for a decade). Not sure how in 2024 with people buying as many electronics as they have in the last decade, people aren't overflowing with these things. I'm perfectly fine companies continuing not to include them, and if/when I eventually need one, they're pennies on the dollar.
      I do appreciate the review though. Hope it's held up for you as I'm about to buy one in 5 minutes.

      Unfortunately with this microscope, there is no audio recording capabilities. Which makes it quite a challenge to sync it up with my camera 😂 There's probably a way to output it to a computer and record sound that way. I just haven't tried it yet.

      @titanrepairs Thanks. After making a recording, I opened the video in VLC and it showed an active AAC audio channel, which is why I asked.
