Been watching another RUclips channel on autobody repair. There is a lot of crossover techniques between that industry and boat builders as far as sanding goes. Really appreciate all the tips and tricks you are sharing so we can raise our level of craftsmanship in the building of our kayak.

Thank you very much, you have done really pro videos. For the sand papers you should check "MIRKA Abranet". It is with a grid so it is vacuum through the whole paper and it can last five times longer than a normal paper.

A full on course on strip kayak building, better than any book. Excellent as usual!!!

Nick Schade I bought yours years ago, read it cover to cover. Being able to see the process is entirely a different thing. All the mistakes I made could have been avoided now I have seen the right way to proceed.

I have had both books for a long time and they are great. I've been re-reading both recently, and catch more subtleties that the video's have highlighted. I think they *really* complement each other. It's a lot faster to flip to a page in the book to reference something than to find and watch the right video.

Andrew Moizer, true that. I will buy the second book soon.

Would wrapping it in clingfilm show something in fluorescent light ?

Possibly, but I don't know if it would be reliable enough to be worth the effort

The rear deck is finally becoming apparent on video...holy cow.

Great! Really enjoying the series. I’ve always used thin battens for sanding boards. Where would I get the board you’re using in this video? Thanks.

I always trust my hands before my eyes for the finish on wood. It's probably where the term "hands-on approach" comes from.

still seems a shame to have to cut out any of that bookmatching .... (Rolls Royce has nothing on this kayak...)
