But as soon as I reach the moment of the video he speaks about the app I rush to the comments to talk about that and find your comment right on the top hahaha I agreee 100% with you, same happened here, no other reviewer spoke about that and that's a BIG game changer for insta stories for example, so easy to use. Moment always killing on the reviews
you'll have so much fun with the shot lab on the app, the clone trail etc. is so much fun, and so easy to do too. You wont regret it. However as mentioned low light isnt the best, you can get a 1" version of the older X2 essentially (the app etc, all work the same) from what i can tell the Me mode is the only thing missing, aswell as the screen on the camera isnt as big.
Me too. I was deciding between Insta360 and a GoPro, but I'm hearing all the freezing issues with the latest GoPros and even the GoPros from two years ago, that I went with this for $590 at Amazon...

I got one for my birthday and I've used it on a regular basis for snowboarding, driving, electric unicycles. The app is incredibly easy to use and the battery life is wayyy better than my friend's gopro hero 8. It lasts 3-4hrs without issues outside while snowboarding with 10 minute recordings everytime I go down the hills. The camera could probably last me the entire day in warmer weather with occasional recording. Highly highly recommend.
Great and detailed video. Really appreciated! I'm loving my x3. It's amazing for skiing, running, driving and for sure all the other activities I haven't yet tested. You just pull it out, start recording and can be almost sure that some great footage will be captured. Editing is really a LOT of fun, build quality, software and battery life are pretty good too (5 months of usage in my case - zero issues).

Brandon Li's video has great examples of commercial type clips for someone who films behind the camera. I couldn't figure how I'd use it practically for clients but his video really helps with good ideas. It was the filming 'me' stuff I actually wasn't interested in because it looks naff and gimmicky. But using it for faux drone type clips or faux slider or gimbal type footage it has a real use for me.
Having never used one of these it was great to see the view from another first-timer. Thank You! I just want an easy to use camera to get some fun BTS and action shots. This was exactly what I was looking for. I'll be buying through your link. I wanted this not all the techie mumbo jumbo.

Too late...I ordered mine and can't wait to use it! I've been using the Samsung 360 when it first came out because the whole VR and 360 was a game changer at that time and I've been doing a lot national park hiking videos with it and updating all my travels again would be awesome since now it is way more enjoyable with the update resolution to the present that can is viewable in HD. I didn't received my package yet but seeing your review only reaffirm my purchase. Thank you! I tend to dislike a lot of RUclipsrs who does nothing but bring a product and does a quick whimsical useless intro and just well...boring and useless. However, I do like in-depth reviews especially when showing the product to beginners at a level where the product is interesting to both you and the viewer.
I'm trying to get back into vlogging, and years ago, I used a Kodak Z8 then as cameras on smartphones got better, I started using those. But I was always missing different POVs as a solo traveller. I was about to go with GoPro because I was intimidated by 360 filming, but this video convinced me that I can still enjoy it as a beginner, especially as someone going back to vlogging after years.
Great video, I'm a complete new beginner and not tech savy. Would be really nice if you could do a small 2 mint video and show us all how to do different effects with the app on phone. Just ordered my X3 . Looking forward to your future videos

Great video! Here's something to think about in a future edit. Make a video just of the trail you are running and save it. Then make a video of just you running and save it. Sync the videos and in your favorite editing software you can do PIP with you narrating the video or switching scenes throughout the run. These are great cameras to exercise your imagination. did ccc last 2017 and got injured training for tds the following year, definitely had the time of my life experiencing Chamonix through UTMB events. Looking forward to getting running stones post covid lockdown. Got myself the original insta 360 one to compliment my trail running activities, as of now I still have my one x2 but might go and upgrade to one x3 sooner.

What a refreshing video, not the canned video reviews we see all over RUclips. Subscribed! Question though for you, is it easy to shoot photo spheres with the camera and to then post them to say Google Maps or Google photos? Also do you then need special software to view them? I can find this answer out anywhere :(
I just got mine....love it! The desktop app is so much easier...I do my prelim edits on the Insta desktop app and then import into Premier Pro for the final edits.

Have no experience with 360 cameras, but just wondering, when you choose that specific viewpoint out of the sphere in post-production (Premiere Pro) and you want that viewpoint in 4K resolution, will you still get that fisheye effect around the borders or will i be like you shoot it on any other 4K camera?

Never understood the appeal of any 360 camera but this app is definitely a plus. I am a complete beginner and terrified of editing. After using this app and finished editing how do you export the video to RUclips or Facebook etc. ?
9:50 you forgot to mention that the app does not show a "waveform track", so its hard and time-consuming when you edit and crop silence, not ideal for Vlogging! You showed that you can pick up clips quickly, but difficult to pick up voice locations.

If u want best export quality use the desktop app and export at higher resolution...but yes the camera is cool but fragile lenses don't scrape it
