Nice review - would have been nice (another video?) to see it operate. I just received the Tiger tank with special all metal package. Caterpillars (as the manufacture calls them) where installed but not painted. thanks for posting!
I am going to get both plastic and metal. And this is the tank I am going to get. NEWEST 2.4G Henglong 1:16 R/C S&S M41A3 Walker Bulldog Tank with Metal Upgrades
Ghosttjr2 still works great! Small plastic pieces can snap off as far as detailed durability goes, but that is to be expected. I have 4 heng longs and enjoy them all!
Rick I have the new Heng Long steel gear v6.0 (I modded allot already) and it’s very very nice, you should look into it if you’re still into Tanks (you can see the v6.0 on my channel, I also have a Taigen Tiger 1 v3 full option)
@Bradyn Urfer if you want to wire in an on off switch you can pick one up at an electronics store. You just need to find the power wire that goes to the air soft motor in the turret and add the switch to it. There’s wiring schematics for these tanks online. Just google it.
Yeah, but good luck finding parts for these Heng Long tanks. Zinc is a crap metal that is slightly above plastic in quality. I was going to buy a Challenger 2, but after I found out that there is no parts anywhere for the damn thing, I said screw it.. Not worth it. Even the company has no parts for it that are high quality. Why pay $279 for a "throw away" toy grade product? Everybody says Taigen makes better tanks.. But I wasn't impressed with them either.. Sure, Taigen is fine, if you want to keep fixing the damn thing. And the price is ridiculous on Taigen tanks.. They are built like they were put together in a garage in China somewhere.. Nice paint jobs, but other than that, no difference between them and Heng Long in my opinion.. These hobby's are infected with nothing but cheap Chinese shit nowadays.. It isn't worth it, unless you have more money than brains..
Admiral54 Barns I've seen lots of websites selling replacement parts for these tanks. If you want top of the line quality you need to buy a tamiya kit tank that's gonna cost you an arm and leg without a transmitter and battery. Maybe the challengers aren't as popular so less replacement parts?
Both of you are wrong about replacement parts, most websites are overseas, and a plentiful array of parts metal and plastic are available. MATO "full metal" tanks are garbage out of the box, so don't go saying if it ain't metal it's not good. And don't praise TAMIYA as tank gods as they've been around a lot longer and have a bigger expense budget for the product line. I have a few tanks from HL and tamiya and I've modded both to a better top standard I can appreciate. HL tanks are not great tanks OOTB but more for hobbyists, which they've mentioned it numerous times on their product sites. Their still learning from their mistakes and getting better slowly but surely. ARMORTEK is the best but their TOO EXPENSIVE!!!! lol
do you live in the UK? because in the USA its easy to get replacement parts. a lot of ebay sellers have US based warehouses. Mato and Taigen tanks have bad electronics, but once you upgrade those, the tanks are actually very, very good.
Admiral54 Barns I don’t know what you do with your Tanks or how you build/upgrade them but Taigen is number 1 Tank and you can drive them for years and nothing will happen to it, maybe you should get another hobby or do more research

Rocknranchman I have some vids of it operating on my channel. Check it out. The metal tracks make them look and drive so much better!
Nice review but please use a tripod for the camera.i gave up watching the shaky video as I was getting dizzy
Try using baby oil in smoker more smoke and cheaper too has detrimental effect.

Has it got metal gears?
So cool 😎
How did it hold up? Is it durable?

Ghosttjr2 cool! I’d love a new 6.0 version. Just not in the budget right now. I’ll check out your vids!
is this tank water proof???
the golden gun no, these tanks are not waterproof. there is videos on RUclips showing you how to waterproof them.
Mine didn’t come with the Airsoft on/off button!!!!
Seabez the newest version has no switch for the airsoft.

What’s the eBay seller?
RC DYNASTY
Is it the rc dynasty?
chipdog007 yes. They have the metal track and gear combos.
