    To the people giving feedback about helens movements. What if you noticed that what your saying or suggesting isn’t positive feedback more or so criticizing. Did you imagine putting yourself in her posting and feeling “how do I add as much value as I can to my audience in 15 min with someone who I look up to?” that would cause anyone to slightly speed up inside! What you miss out on if you focus on that is helens obvious drive is so clear that she was able to make a strong connection with Robert in order for him to say “yes” in the first place. What’s happening when you comment things like that is your internal dialogue saying “I could have done better” that is pure ego. That you must check yourself on. As soon as you compare in that way you’ve missed the whole point of NLP and the part of transformation in of itself.

      What a kind comment Ryan. Thank you. Sorry for late reply. This was actually my first ever video interview, so yes I was nervous. Im naturally a big gesture person ... which does look odd on the screen ... Im still learning. Yes conscious mirroring , intended to help the viewer ... but looks more like a distraction. Ill keep learning.

      Finally someone said it, if everyone in here is so good at NLP where are their videos interviewing pioneers. So easy to comment on matching and mirroring from behind a keyboard.
      If we could just be grateful and share kindness rather than using ridiculous frames and focus on the actual content, ethos, pathos, logos and telos (her intention was to share and help others) why would so many respond in a nitpicking manner. What a strange way to use their NLP.

    Thank you so much for posting this! Helen: stay exactly as you are, enthusiastic and spontaneous, love it! What I like about this explanation of logical levels model is the addition of the fact that traumas happen because of (early) experiences in the environment. And these imprints (de)form your belief system and feeling of identity. So the change has to be on the higher levels. It's not always so easy to transform strong limiting beliefs that have been created at an early age, especially if the environment was toxic, but the "secret" ingredient of Robert Dilts' approach is his unconditional belief as a mentor and a sponsor that is ís possible, and that you deserve to be healed and become a happier version of yourself and that you belong, that you are worthfull and unique and you have something to contribute. And this is what's needed in transformational coaching and this what coaches and therapists should model from Robert Dilts: this unique deep supporting sponsorship. this is where the real healing takes place. Thank you!

    My roots with Robert go back many years and was a great influence upon my development along with his partner Todd.
    Now is the time for him to evolve his model by continuing to expand the developing pyramid on top of the pyramid and exploring the developing states of consciousness which describe our true nature beyond the physical. Most importantly by recognizing that Christ consciousness is the universe that we reside in and resides within us. How when entering into various trance states those explorations may be made and controlled as Erickson discovered. The rules of religion including Christianity have greatly fettered mankind in the expansion of awareness of mankind, our destiny. The Urantia papers truly offer the information that Robert was looking for and was available at the time he published his papers about Christ. The information was derived from one person (messenger ) in a trance before Robert was born. Barry T

    really good stuff! thanks Helen and Robert! question, when Robert discussed about these levels affecting how we behave and our beliefs affecting other things, how are these things comparable to Meta Programs? are they or are they not?

    • @HelenOakwater
      @HelenOakwater  4 года назад

      I would say that this model sits alongside the meta programmes. I wonder if the question "how are Meta programmes formed" and viewed in the context of logical levels is more powerful. AND I have no idea of the answer. .. however, in my work in child trauma world, I can see why traumatised children might have some strong 'towards and away froms'. I think one of the joys of NLP is how flexible we can be and each model is a different tool. As (i think) Milton Erickson said " if you're only tool is a hammer, you see every problem as a nail"

    The brain is a network of concepts and nuclei. Simplifying all interactions into levels is not likely to lead to a deeper understanding of behavior. Apart from sensory experiences at the bottom, the rest is nicely interconnected with multiple loops of feedback. It is more useful to speak of anatomical correlates, e.g. the amygdala, the nucleus accumbens, the neocortex
    and its areas, etc. Let's better talk of the brain as it is

    Great content from Dilts but that lady can’t keep a lid on her enthusiasm, it’s so overpowering. She seems quite wired! If she could relax, hand over the reins and let the guy who is the authority on the subject talk, with her gently facilitating the process, it’d be awesome. The people have dialed in to hear Dilts. She would benefit from doing some Headspace to calm her mind down a little. Has happened to all of us though.
