    I also headcannon the two characters in Witches Around as a couple. They're such a cute couple, too. 😂

    Another gift idea is to color Ivy and the Inky Butterfly by Johanna Basford and give it as a gift to your niece or whoever you want! It's a thick book though so it will take a while to color! I love that book because it's a children's story that you can color and it can be passed down each generation!

      Yeah that one's pretty tempting! I picked up Spooky by Sara Szezwyk (prolly got that wrong lol) and it too is a bit of a story, so I'm planning to not use alcohol markers (as much as I want to lol) and color it in so it's a readable book to gift once I'm done! Maybe once that one is done and I've gotten through Worlds of Wonder (the current Basford book I wanna finish) I may pick up Ivy and the Inky Butterfly!

      @@MyStarseedColoring Oh yea, I forgot that Spooky has a story in it too! That's a really cute book for a gift! I love Ivy and the Inky Butterfly but it's going to take me ages to finish! It's probably about twice as thick as the other Johanna Basford books! Do you have a favorite coloring book artist?

      @@silvers_inkNot sure if I could pick one to be honest!! I love different styles and depending on my mood is what I go for. I do love the Joseph Catimbang and Fabiana Attanasio books I have, and I love Rita Berman's art style (though I don't particularly enjoy the paper in her books) I think those three are my top picks!

      @@MyStarseedColoring I love all 3 of the artists you mentioned! I know it's really hard to pick just one! There are so many amazing artists!🥰

    I just hit my 1 year mark for my coloring journey too! And I also collect the Mythographic books! I'm only missing one Mythographic book now and it's the one called Fairy Wonderland, but other than that one I have all of the rest that have been released so far! I decided to choose one set of books to be the ones I collect and since Joseph Catimbang is my favorite artist I chose Mythographic books! I cannot wait for Joseph's new book coming out May 14th called Wild Summer!!! But anyway, thank you for sharing this video!

      Thank you! Lol my partner already keeps complaining I have enough and that I don't need more, that I have more than I can finish in the next few *years* but it's so hard to not buy the beautiful books artists keep publishing!

    Hi just found your channel tonight and really enjoyed watching your videos , you seem to really enjoy coloring and your pages are beautiful. I had an idea for you for the giant pokemon gag gift, maybe try using crayola kids crayons ? Lol, just a thought ! I sometimes color with my kids with crayons, and i can get surprisingly nice results , lol 😂 . Thank you for sharing! And also what a lovely idea to give your neices a book with a page that you colored. Beautiful gift idea

      @MyStarseedColoring  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks! Heh yeah, maybe crayons or something like that would be a good alternative. We'd need some GIANT ones for them though or we might run out of colors before finishing lol!
      As for the books for the cousins and nieces, they were very well received by all four girls, they LOVED having a page done by us to have as inspiration, and we've already gotten photos of pages they've colored in return. We're all about fostering that artistic spirit in the younger generation!

      It's such a huuuge fun book XD I think if it wasn't for the absolute thinness of the pages I'd be all for completing it long-term. Unfortunately it's almost tracing-paper thin!

      Sounds fun! I have quite a few pages lined up for January, but I think I have time for another one =P Luckily mythographics can take alcohol marker which makes them slightly faster (and easier on my hands lol!) Wanna send me a message on Insta so I can credit your handle there? (and we can chat more! =D)

    beautiful coloring! i hear you say heathrone markers? i like to know more about how you color , i am overwhelmed to by intricate pictures

    • @MyStarseedColoring
      @MyStarseedColoring  Год назад

      Thank you! Yes, my first marker set was this one here: www.amazon.ca/Hethrone-Colors-Dual-Markers-Brush/dp/B08ZXKP8VR?th=1
      They tend to be a bit streaky but are great for both detail (the fine-liner side) and basing (with the brush side) to use pencils on top. Nowadays I use Ohuhu ones as they're less streaky, but I still fall back to those since it has a wider selection of colors (My ohuhu sets have 48 colors each, so... less options lol). They're a good option for double-sided pages and for cutting down the amount of pencil shading you have to do (my hands tend to cramp quickly with pencils x.x)
      As for intricate... I try to break things down. I too get a bit overwhelmed with details, so I pick something I know/what drew me to the page in the first place, and start there. Generally, I know I tend to start with grass/leaves. Easier to pick a color for those, then just work only on that, till it's all done throughout the page, then I'll pick the next thing, and the next. Breaking the page down like that, by type of object or 'everything that I think will be red' makes it easier to tackle larger pages.
      For example last month I did a huuuge double spread, and it took me 2 weeks!! Every day, I picked a color range, and just colored everything on the page that would be in those colors. It's really fun seeing a page come to life one color at a time, and it means I can pick out 3-6 pencils/markers and have ONLY that out, and the book. I put away the rest and just work with them till I'm done.
      It's an interesting question though, and I can prolly explain it better in a video so I'll see if I can film a video about the topic soon! Thanks for the question!

    ❤❤ Goodmorning, World of color, l got that for my birthday last year but anyway is that coloring book a series?

    • @MyStarseedColoring
      @MyStarseedColoring  11 месяцев назад

      Not a series proper, more a compilation book of a few of Kerby's other series. So it's a bunch of the favorite pages of 4-5 other books put into one book! He did release another similar compilation book recently from his other series called Color Universe that I've been tempted to get too. They're good options if you like his work but don't want to buy all the ones he's released cuz he has quite a library at this point! www.amazon.ca/dp/0593473957/
