Dude thank you, I’m new to building my own pc and I keep getting stuck with stuff like this, but this actually helped me visualise and understand how to properly do it. Great vid 👍
@@SpuddGamingsomeone else asked a question that I had the same. How difficult is the display port to access? It appears as though there is no room to connect to the gpu
how easy its it to plug in the display port though ? you missed that bit as there is cost bars in place for the bays, I suspect ups would have to pull the card further into the case the connector sits inside it.
@@MrExdous69i would go for the no tech king 95 but that’s just me. it fits my 4090 strix & you can do a push pull config while having the rad in the front. but that’s if your’re mounting the gpu horizontally. I would have to buy this bracket & see how much space there is in the front
I think for some you cut out the old mounting plate, but some cases have it to where you can rotate the mounting plate or at least remove it to put in a vertical mount
i need to get one mount like that for my gpu, i don't like how all of the companies that makes the gpu's seem to have the backplate on top so the ugly side shows and the pretty side is hidden below, such a wierd choice for a aestetic gpu
you basically have to cut out the horizontal frame from the back where your ports are oe you wont be able to access the ports on your gpu. this stupid guy forgot to mention that.
It does unfortunately, I'm currently trying to figure out a way around that with one idea being to vertically mount the video card in the already given slots and using a riser cable like used for the gpu 😂
There’s a few things to consider with this, it’s possible yes, but not recommended. If you are running a dual channel motherboard then you can run two sticks of each, provided they are the same speed and are in the correct slots (eg the 2x8GB in slots 1 & 3, 2x16GB in slots 2 & 4), but you may run into some performance issues. If the two sets are different clock speeds then this will cause a lot of problems and the system will not run properly. I would instead recommend just straight up replacing the 2x8GB with the 2x16GB rather than using them togethrr
I have this Gpu (4080 pny xlr8 like you) and mainboard Asus too (Asus Prime B760) How to sync RGB on GPU with mainboard Asus bro , My Armoury Crate don’t show gpu in Aura Sync.
This V3 vertical support is not suitable for the Cooler Master HAF 700 case! Reason, the part that connects to the case has 2 holes in the center and 2 guide pins on the sides and the HAF 700, GPU card, audio, etc... are held in under pressure and the case also has guide pins.
I have had problems with the pny 4070ti xrl8 with the rgb the card Turn on the rgb Windows loads and everything spends 10 seconds inside Windows and the rgb goes to the card and if I open the pny speed x application I turn on the rgb and if I restart the pc or I turn off the same thing happens again within Windows it runs out of rgb I turn on the application and it has rgb
Any noticeable difference in GPU temps? Most vertical temp test I've seen don't have any bottom case fans. I've only seen one other case do this and it was a 1 C increase
Depends on the case. I have a Lancool 3 and the difference between horizontal/vertical mount is pretty much insignificant, like 1-2 degrees Celsius .Also I do have 3 fans on the bottom.
The temperature we’ll go up a lot, now there going to be a god but if delay to the motherboard now with this connection. Not worth it to me. Form over function within reason, and to me this not within reason situation.
i hate the fact that my lian li kit leaves so much space between the Motherboard and the vertical braket, that a 3,5 slot card, cant fit a finger between the fans and glas of the case. its wasted space. the backside of the lian li kit, has like 4cm of space there. but at least it can go low. so low, that i can basically place it on the bottom fans. having it higher, would mean the gpu would block my rgb ram from view, at least partially. so in other words, there is no perfect vertical kit, because this one, fits to high for me
I was hoping especially to see the back of the GPU card so see how the display connectors are available through the case's slots.
same here...
still a solid video almost 1 year later. thanks for doing this.

Wow that looks so much better and is such a simple thing to do, might have to order one!
I love vertically mounted GPUs and this is the easiest and best mount I’ve found so far. Plus as an extra bonus they make it in both black and white!
@@SpuddGaming hi is it pcie gen4 though, cuz i dont waana lose speed, if i used this on my x16lane which is pcie4.0

The question is how much FPS you lose and how much the GPU temperature increases.
@@mrflexii2067 It shouldnt increase at all, you can also get a bracket with rgb in it which TILTS your graphic card away from your glass panel

Sure wish he had commented on this. I was thinking the same thing
I had to look at another vid about this, and what you have to do is basically pull the GPU back a bit and kinda twist the cable in. Then plug them in

Great video man, definitely going to vertically mount my GPU keep up the great work man!
Thanks very much!
The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Super is an awesome choice of GPU! Pretty slick looking build. 👍🏻
Thanks a lot ❤ it’s very helpful and very nice description from all aspect appreciate all the work you do .
THANK YOU, I JUST PURCHASED ONE !
Although a very useful video, the ending of the video is what made it worth watching to the end.
Just don't forget that with this mounting unit the gpu comes forward a couple of centimeters to the front off the case
do you know exactly how many cm?
Great video! 💪
Thanks a lot!
Well done video because of this I am definitely buying one.
Amazing gpu man!
Thank you!
Great video! (as usual) 🎉🎉
Thanks a lot buddy and congrats again on the win, enjoy your new clock!
Thanks for this video. I am inspired and now subscribed.
White PC setup is Wicked niceeee!
very awesome. i just bought a 4070 and this mount.
With all those fans facing all directions, there might be a mini tornado inside the case
great usefull video (like usual)
Thank you!
Wouldn't the horizontal case slits prevent being able to plug any displays into the GPU? I suppose not since you managed it.
Can I have any parts that you don’t use anymore and I know you get a ton of these and are probably sick of them but it would really make my day
Amazing work 🎉
Just ordered this mount. Thanks for the video :D
Glad it helped!
Great video and congrats to the winner, sadly me and my family can’t afford for me to get a pc at this moment of time, keep up the good work!
Thank you very much! There will be more chances to win stuff in the future!
Nice, is there any latency using the Pcie cable? Will it affect if you had 1 or 2 cards like network card and so? Appreciate comments...
when i get an open case ill do this
thanks. this video convinced me to pick this usit over the one from lien le.

Vertical for sure! Just about to buy that bracket, thanks for vid.
The only thing I noticed and need to criticize is that you didn't show the backside of the case and how you route the cables.
Yeh I’ll give you a like mate
Thanks!
No problem!
Can you really trust vertically mount specially the pcb that area we screw I saw many cards fry cuz it's bad pcb layout
Congrats to the winner!

bro thank u so much
does it come with screws to tighten up the bracket to the case because I lost mine that were on the case when removing the slots before
I want one one that allows me use my PCIe cards. And why does it look like your case has side mounts already on it ?

i have an old inwin 101 case so the slots are so low... do you think this mount will fit?
How can we vertically mount 2 GPUs? I like seeing my cards from the side horizontally. Not have them hidden.
I bought the same mounting kit and I've got the same exact gpu but when I boot the pc the first time it says no Signal
I was wondering if you can use an air cooler (instead of an AIO) with this vertical mounting kit? Specifically an air cooler that is 150mm in height.
Nice! 2 questions though...
Is it a pain to get the HDMI cable into the GPU?
and
Does it render all of my other PCI-E slots unusable?
well that is the obvious question isn't it.
he didn't show the back of the PC for whatever reason
How about the Display / HDMI cable?
How can you plug the HDMI or DP cable?
is tehre any way to also have a wifi card along with a vertical graphics card mount?
