i'm absolutely heartbroken.
i can't believe that after all these years of us waiting for them to become an endgame we're going through this again.
i refuse to believe this. it was really difficult to watch lydia's suffering in this movie and none of this makes sense to me especially because Dylan said he was okay with where things left off for Stiles and it meant him being happy with Lydia. to me Stiles had stayed with the kids and they're still happily married. the end.

she left him to protect him, because she loves him. yes, it's sad that there's no stydia in the movie, but the way they handled Dylan O'Brien's absence wasn't that bad. they mentioned stiles a lot and in my opinion the movie was really great. the pack reunited and with all the unanswered questions, they left room for possible future movies or spinn-offs.
they didn't even have to break them up, it made no sense. all they could have said was stydia got married, and the reason for stiles not being there was because he was off on a FBI case

I respect your opinion but as for me I highly disagree. It basically felt like a revenge writing, Dylan already said that he was more than ok with how things were left off for Stiles which also meant him being happy with Lydia..and that's what Jeff did behind his back, ruining this ending for his character and Lydia's. There were many other ways to handle Stiles' absence, him staying with the kids for example, they didn't have to break them up. With that many bad reviews it's hard to tell there will be more movies and this movie didn't have that old TW vibe, storylines were out of place and they managed to ruin these characters, it was all very out of place, it didn't feel like a love letter to fans at all. Also Stydia's break up reason makes no sense, Stiles would never let Lydia go no matter what, they've been put through so much during these 6 seasons for something like this
It was just disappointing and from what's I've seen this isn't just my opinion.

My biggest issue with the movie. Stiles and Lydia getting together, was arguably one of the fandoms biggest triumphs. We waited SO long for them to get together and it ended on such a good note, this movie ruined the series in more ways then one. There was no reason to break them up. All they had to do was say Stiles was busy with the FBI and couldn't be there for them at the time. I feel like I wasted 2 hours of my life on a movie that did more harm to the series then good. I loved Allison, but bringing her back for good after she was dead for 15 years? That's kind of ridiculous. Same goes for Stiles and Lydia breaking up. Overall, the movie ruined the series and I just want to pretend like it never happened at this point.
I just separate the movie canon from the tv series canon. They are two different entities imo. The Tv series is true canon and The Movie is not. It has no connection to the series whatsoever. You just have to ignore that this trash movie exists. Teen Wolf ended at 6a with Stydia together and happy. 🙂

The video edit is wonderful and Holland did a great job in that scene, but I can't accept how they handled Dylan's absence.
They could easily write something else of positive like make Lydia say he couldn't come with her because of a job or that she talked to him over the phone asking for advices.
If it was all about her presence in the car, she just should never get in the car with him again?
Idk, I found disrespectful write off Stydia like this after the fandom patiently waited for 6 seosons for them to be endgame.
In my mind, they are together and she never left.

I was so disappointed in the lack of stydia I did cry about the fact she left him because of fear of losing him but my stydia heart is unfulfilled yet again... There was probably a lot that happened between them in the 15 years. sure, they don't show 15 years of their relationship on screen, but they probably did a lot of stuff together over that time. I doubt they would still be dating in a 15 year period, they probably did a lot more with their relationship. I saw comment she was still wearing a wedding band in the movie, maybe that was the necklace she was wearing through out the movie
this is incredible! I personally thought the reason for their breakup was one of the few things in the movie that actually really made sense. Of course I would have loved for them to still be together, but if they had to break up then this is probably the only explanation that I can accept. It feels very in-character for Lydia. She has always been introspective and it feels completely consistent that upon seeing a recurring premonition of Stiles' death, she would leave him without telling him the truth. She did it because she loves him. There is room for them to get back together and so we just have to pray that there will be more movies and Dylan will be in them.
The one thing which is important here is that Dylan said he was ok with how things were left off for Stiles which also meant him being happy with Lydia, and Jeff should've respected that. There were many other ways to explain Stiles' absence. And that's what I really am not happy with how it was handled.
With how many bad reviews the movie already has (fans seem very not happy with it from what I've seen) there's not even guarantee that we'll get more of this movies and this means Stydia would just be left off broken up like this after being endgame for years. + very much not sure if Dylan would even come back after the talk him and J eff had

@@Sweetie2566 I guess for me personally, I try to view TV shows/movies as you would view the real world...sometimes events happen that are beyond our control and that we would prefer not to, but that's life. (Tbh, this concept is hard for me to explain in words, so forgive me if this ends up making no sense...) It feels odd to me when people are like "the writers shouldn't have made that happen," particularly regarding uncontrollable events (e.g. car crash), and especially when the corresponding reactions of characters are completely in-character. In real life, you wouldn't be like "damn, I'm angry that this accident happened and am going to ignore it"--it happened, and you can't change that, so you must deal with the implications of it. So I'm just viewing the car crash premonition as something that happened to Stiles and Lydia, and Lydia's reaction was understandable but at the same time heart-wrenching. The only time I get mad at writers is when characters act or behave in ways that don't make sense for them, but I don't see that as applying here (albeit, it certainly did happen in other instances in the movie, but imo not in this instance).
Sequel! We need a better resolution!

I saw this video before I watched the movie so I thought the scenes with the accident were in the movie. I just imagined this was Jeff letting us know they were happy until the accident dreams, but they weren't in the movie. They should have been. You have a better connection to what Stydia meant to all of us than jeff ever did. He couldn't be bothered. i was so disappointed when those scenes weren't actually part of the movie.This was art.

I will never watch the movie because of all the bad reviews and knowing what they did to so many beloved characters. But Stydia literally breaks my heart. After all this time??? 6 seasons, two kisses, still one of the best love stories there is, and they do this??? Jeff disappointed.

y’all hating on the stydia aftermath but like in universe, it’s realistic that lydia did this for stiles because they were all about protecting each other, and since lydia did fear for his life ofc she’d stay away if necessary. plus making lydia leave bc she was protecting stiles leaves the franchise open for a potential stiles comeback, but also not. because if they had said stydia was married living a happily ever after, it wouldn’t have been believable that he stayed away, for work or the kids, for the 2 or 3 movies teen wolf has in contact.
yes the movie is different, but also it was written 5 years later ofc the vibe isn’t going to be the same, but it still has the core teen wolf element which is that you do anything and everything to protect your pack

For me this is canon and the fact that they still love each other she can comeback to him after what happen in the movie because she had the dream before allison came back so if allison is alive that changes the future and the dream may never happen thats how i see it and i also think that they left everything like that because they want a sequel

ever since i saw the rumors of the way they decided to justify dylan/stiles's absence in this movie, i had no doubt that you'll do them justice in one of your videos so i was just waiting for all the stydia aus to start flowling & i must say you truly did them justice with this edit. i wish it never had to end tho... your editing is so beautiful, so soft & i really hope you decide to one day maybe to a longer version of what their life should & would be... happy. together.

Thank you for the video it made me fell better, I was so disappointed with the movie and hate it. So you are telling me they made it to get Allison and Scott back who I didn’t really care about their relationship I am happy for other people who got their couple back but for me I don’t care I waited 6 season for Stiles and Lydia and now they broke them up and the reason no matter how manny time people say it makes sense it actually doesn’t because stiles would never let that happen. Also Jeff didn’t respect Dylan and went behind his back and did that because Dylan already said he was happy with the ending he has no right to do that like when Christal wanted to leave by killing her he respected her wish but now he does this only to have a reason for Lydia not using her power which there could be more reasons that make sense better than them breaking up. Season 6 is the final for me because they ruined a lot in the movie.
exactly this!!! you're literally the first person who seem to acknowledge the fact what Jeff did behind Dylan's back and that's exactly the problem for me. Many people are not even aware that he did that, like Dylan said he was ok with how things were left off for Stiles which also meant him being happy with Lydia...and now this is ruined for his and Lydia's character. J should've respected this and instead he did this only for drama, which makes absolutely no sense. Stiles would never let that happen. He could've just stayed with the kids instead of bringing this unnecessary drama with ruining the endgame for a ship just for the sake of it, it's cruel and I'm so disappointed
We got scallison back which I love them but at what cost..losing everything else we loved as fans.
the lack of interaction between characters and plot also felt off. I hate this because this series means so much to me, to so many of us and they managed to ruin it with 2h time
