Mark Gillespie Interview (1996)

From 1996 a live in the studio chat with celebrated Australian singer, song writer Mark Gillespie who passed away in November 2021. This was a very rare chat with Mark who maintained a reclusive reputation even at the height of his music career, a career that he walked away from in the late 90’s to establish and work in orphanages in Bangladesh where he remained until his passing. Recorded for my radio program Retrospectives on Casey Radio in Melbourne, Australia.

Was great live, saw him in Prahran a few times in the 80s. Still have his vinyl 33 Only Human, got it recorded on to CD and still play it regularly driving in the car. Mayday in Arcadia is a song for the present times!

It aint easy all we can do is try and if that oppurtunity arises then it is a blessing and a gift to the world .Come Together Imagine and you never know ! What will be will be ! Mark was ahead of his time in vision and the spoken wordthat eminates deep from within the heart of us all ✌️The Voice of Reason! I think 😘
