I'm 60. I came back to horses at 53. I'm disabled but it's mental illness, not physical, and I decided to supplement my tiny pension doing chores. A few months later, it's "can you watch the horses for 3 weeks." That has led to jobs around the area. I even do haying and maple syryp production.
Don't let age or illness limit your imagination. If you love to work with/around horses, it can be done.

You can learn to lame a horse trying to learn to be a farrier on RUclips. Find a good school, it will pay for itself and save the horses a lot of pain and suffering from having a poir trim. Don't do it for the money, do it because you love helping horses.

Exactly !! Never ever would I let my horse get trimmed by someone who learned on utube !! That’s just so wrong ! There’s a lot of learning and you could do a lot of damage if you don’t know what your doing with their hooves !!!!

Don't encourage vets to leave the field!😢😂
We need more vets and they are becoming scarce.😢

Great Suggestions! I'm definitely more on the social media & marketing side. It's way too hot for me where I live to be outside "working" with horses as a career. I prefer to generate my income online so I can enjoy horses at my leisure.

I took Mary shreibers equissage course too! I was waiting for you to say that when you mentioned ESMT. It’s just so nice to have that knowledge. I didn’t realize how helpful knowing the muscles would be

Thank you so much you’ve taught me so much. I’m getting a horse next Friday. I can’t afford riding lessons so you’ve helped me so much in that area even though I ride western. You’ve also taught so much more. Thank you again for your time it really helps us out.❤

So, you're not actually making the $$ with horses (training, boarding, lessons, etc), but with Horse-Related things. . . .
