I just love how every build enters the battle all beefed up and swoll with hundreds upon hundreds of stats. Beasts enter with 3/2s, 2/2s and 3/3s. "Don't worry, we'll get there."
I once beat endgame murlocs with just 4 golden units with completely unbuffed stats. Balanced build

I haven't played hearthstone for more than 3 years, but kripp vids are just gold.
BG has been pretty fun these days, apart from the sometimes OP Elementals.

For the people who don’t wanna sit there and watch an animation when you know you’ve got a near 100% loss you can alt f4 the game and when you reload you’ll be back in the shop saves watching say leapfrogger builds and the pirate/eliza builds where the animation takes forever 😭

The dazzling is the bane of my existence when I’m just trying to watch Kripp play literally anything else. His obsession with it is way worse than lightfang even
Ideally you want to have a 2nd taunt to make sure your baron doesn't get sniped while you're building up the leapfrogger deathrattles (the rat that spawns a taunt when it dies is a great option if you use houndmaster or argus on it)
With 2 taunts one cleave and goodbye build. 3/2 rat is also insane card to just let it die wo buffs

What was going on inside kripp's mind when he was on tavern 5? "im gonna pivot to elementals from lightfang build". *_rolls twice gets nomi while already having a start with the dazzlings and doesnt pick him up_* . He just said he wants to go elementals but ignores nomi.
Can't read his mind, but it's common for him to pass if/ when he feels it's too late for Nomi to help with the scaling.
Watched again and caught that he explained it to chat pretty much as I guessed. Along the lines of "I'm too weak to play Nomi".
Agree or disagree on his logic and decision, that's what it is. I'm pretty sure that I would have definitely gone elementals over beasts there, but I'm also not nearly as good as he is.

It would see play even if it cost 10 mana. For example, in wild there is a long convoluted druid combo that ends with playing a 1 mana spell that gives you armor equal to a minion's attack. That minion has around 1500 attack by combo end. This replaceds that entire combo with rat + invervate + spell.
Honestly this is just scratching the surface, there are about a million ways this card would be completely busted.

This is a great build, but Krip also got crazily lucky in combat. The Baron was almost never killed even though there was only little taunt.
And in some rounds, the opponent attacked exactly that one minion he needed to attack for Krip to survive the round.

It feels like the Reborn Beast is just way too strong. Both the combination with Maexxna as well as the stuff for all other deathrattle type of builds seems way too strong.
Without it, beasts are midrange only so I think it is a good design, similar to the Felbat extending demons to end game.
@@Fidtz I can certainly see this PoV. Lately it just feels that the reborn is such a strong comeback-mechanic that it feels almost dominating over other builds.
it's not that strong, opps just needed a baron snipe, and on most turns they had 30-40% to not lose
I kinda agree because Maexxna. So frustrating to lose to a super weak build you’ve been dominating just because they got lucky and reborned to Marexnass which guarantees them killing four minions. It’s whack

You got the luckiest pulls imaginable. start with two frogs, then TWO lightspawn one of which you got turn 7, and then got GOLDEN baron on turn 11. And to top that off most of your lobby was clearly asleep.
Now these are no rookie numbers

I gotta say, while I absolutely do not miss every player in the lobby going for this build while it was at its peak, I Iove seeing it pulled off nowadays.
Which -- in my opinion at least -- is where this kind of build needs to be.
That *occasional* matchup against isn't so bad and even amusing whether I win it or not (though much more so if I do).
Seeing it all the time was really bad.

ah, yes.. the classic "falling from power"..
Very nice, but I still can't quite understand why the frogs end up giving so many stats instead of just +2/+2
Because each stack of the deathrattle increases the +2/+2. 2 stacks is +4/+4, 3 stacks is +6/+6... and so on. The golden baron causes the deathrattle to happen 3 times and the golden macaw causes the deathrattle to happen twice. So a minion with 1 stack happens 6 times, or 2 stacks happens 12 times. It gets really crazy.

I hated this build so much back in its heyday but It's kinda satisfying to play nowadays, although very difficult to pull off
I just played a game the other day where I had a really nice menagerie amalgadon board but was about to lose to a leapfrogger build until the last round the RNG and a cleave helped me win

So I have just had an exact copy of Kripp’s warband. I died in 5th after my baron was sniped 3 games in a row after my taunts died.

6:06 freezes the Nestmatron and then even gets a choice of another Nestmatron from the hero power, and chooses to get Dazzling and roll instead... Kripp is dumb as hell sometimes
Also selling the rat instead of the lightspawns just to buy a rat again in the next turn... The lightspawn is the next Lightfang for Kripp. Overvalues it pretty much every game he gets it.
Lightspawns would have win the game for him as well if he choose to go elemental
