I personally can never get over how good this sounds from the production to the bridge, this was fully realized in my opinion and I’m not sure what lead to the album change but I know a lot of us resonated much better with this version. Removing “electric devotion” deserves jail time
really now, I listen to this one (and rain on me demo) instead of the originals still - that's what real electric devotion stands about haha

The whole reverberating sound of the beginning 1.5 minutes should've stayed. It was truly iconic.

This version makes me happy and sad at the same time. I can hardly explain. The pandemic forced me to leave my job, I returned to the interior of my country, and, I remember, I just wanted it all to end. I search daily, in the silliest way possible, "when will the pandemic end" as if I have an answer. I would sit in my backyard and listen to this newly leaked version. This song filled me with the desire to live again, to be free and at the same time I was afraid that there was no more time for that to happen. I imagined Covid 19 would take my life and I would no longer be able to celebrate that album. I feared for myself, for my family. Today, when I listen to this version, I feel immense happiness, because that phase is over and I was able to celebrate.

Tbh this should have been the lead single. They could have also kept the dark aesthetics from this shot for the music video--her traversing an alien-like landscape.

The demo sounds like a straight up 90's house track while the final one reminds me of 2010's house track. Both handbag house but with different approach.
So I will ALWAYS love the demo version of this song. Free Woman is definitely the Aura of Chromatica. The demos were just so much better. But the final version of this song is also INCREDIBLE. Like, it sounds AMAZING. I love both so much. But this bridge, girl 😭😭😭😭😭😍😍😍😍
