@@Lzmstudio beautiful drawing. It's kind of scientific to draw trees with such a beautiful harmony. Is there a way to see it? In instagram or a web page? Thanks.
@@eljuli1003 I don’t think I have it posted anywhere and it’s currently stored at my videographer’s studio. I’ll see if I can get a snap. But all my website and social media links are on my channel’s header. Lots of other work of my students’ and mine posted there 🥳
Your original drawing was 15"x 21" so follow these steps: 1. Divide your original picture by one inch squares. So you'll have 15 x 1" squares in width and 21 x 1" squares in height. 2. Now, go to your canvas and swap over to feet. 3. Divide your canvas by 15 x 1ft squares wide and 21 x 1ft squares in height. That's all you need to do 👍
@@TheLondonForever00 this math doesn’t work and you’d get distortion, stretch or not filling the larger canvas. You need to do math to get the right ratio of each length…
@@dickymarshall1007 if you have three squares across on your phone photo and three squares down you need the same number of squares on your paper but their sizes can be bigger or smaller to scale up or down. The ratio needs to stay the same but the sizes can change.
So it just depends on the number of squares on the original grid, and there's no rules for the actual "scale" of the proportion? Example: any grid of 10 squares across and 8 up & down... You only have to do that ratio of 10 to 8? Like if the little squares are ½inch, I can do any size of square on a bigger paper, just keeping the horizontal & vertical number of squares the same? Wow, let me try this. It seems too easy!
Maybe this will help? It also helps to stand at an easel and use your shoulder/elbow more than sitting and using your wrist/fingers to get a larger scale.
Why you didn’t think to say the proportion is 5:4 for a double size to enlarge it, knowing the A4 format is mesure (one inche square) I watched you video, many times before it is coming through my mind!
God man, have you ever heard if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything?! HA. You've got some options here: 1. You can adjust the playback speed, until I sound like mini mouse, enabling you to glean this FREE INFORMATION faster. 2. No one is forcing you to watch a video you don't like! But out of honoring your needs, what point exactly did you wish to gain from watching my video? Without that information, there is little I could adjust to serve your needs in a more rapid tik tok style 10 seconds.

Wow, that tree framed... is it a drawing?
Yes- one that I drew with a student who wanted to draw it. I show them step by step how I do it and they do their own drawing too!

you are so welcome! thanks for always being so thankful, it's a nice reward for my work! :)
How do I transfer a drawing 15"width by 21"high on to a canvas 5ft w by 25ft high? What would be the size of boxes on the drawing and on the canvas?
You, my friend, are going to have to do some math!😂
Your original drawing was 15"x 21" so follow these steps:

Hi, what if I'm using my mobile phone to set the grid on an A3 paper?
I'm not sure I understand this question, can you explain it more?
@@Lzmstudio What I meant is, if I set the grid with a grid app on my phone, how then will I draw it out for a big portrait on an A3 paper?

Yep, that is it, I hope it worked for you! It's all about creating equal ratios but you can go any size larger or smaller.
