Casting Jaw Plates for our Jaw Crushers
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 28 сен 2024
- We have started making our own replaceable cast jaw plates for our jaw crushers! The manganese steel work hardens on the surface giving the plates a very hard and abrasion resistant layer that does the crushing. It is great to be able to use our scrap metal that is already here in the USA to melt, cast, and manufacture our own parts. Keep our resources local as much as possible. For any questions please give us a call or email. Thanks for watching!

Nice work guys. Now when these wear out you can repeat the process and give the metal yet another life.
Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos!
Nice work!. None of that process is easy, but you made it look that way. Keep up the good videos!
Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos!
Thanks for the great educative video series and your easy explanations.
Really good work 👍
Just subscribed . Thank you for the great videos and educated me on the entire process of getting gold!
Nice work Jason!

How did you know the scrap item you bought was the proper composition for your application?
Once you have that scrap melted it would be worthwhile to pour a sample that could be assayed to determine it exact composition. Perhaps it might need re alloying to bring it back to spec.
The pour temp ... what standard are you all using?
Beautiful. I approve
You got to be feeling pretty cool casting your own jaw crushing plates especially seeing them work... next casting coming up a 15 inch cast iron frying pan with your logo embedded on the back so I can fry up some bacon and eggs and then I'll feel cool to
Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos!
@@mbmmllc How 'bout a nice pan custom made for roasting sulfides.
Wrong practice, why no water quenching for manganese steel casting.
Men of steel 🤣should of had some Conan music playing while you were pouring thanks for the video I liked it .👍
Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos!
If the damaged crusher jaw can be recycled and molded again without adding any other materials, you do not have to melt it and pour it into molds only.
Great job
👍👍 awesome
Chomp Chomp Chomp. Nice.
Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos!
Why do hot parts come out of the mold?
best regard foundryman, i have any uestion, how about heattreatment process? your jaw crusher without heattreatment, isn't it?
We don't heat treat
@@mbmmllcI don't think the jaw plates without heat treatment would give proper life. It's wear as well as impact resistance would be drastically low.
what was it big plate in 0:40 s ?
stone crusher jawplate
Be carefull of copyright strikes with the shop music...
Excelente , video siempre había tenido la duda de cómo o con qué tipo de material se utilizaba para hacer este tipo de piezas.
I thought 5% maganese was all needed for jaws, I use to rebuild those induction furnace.
Allways loved melting in open furnaces.
Different feeling then vacuum furnaces. Shank you.
How can i make furnues

how long time before break mold ?
About an hour
I leed 2 plates how purchase
Jaw plate matel
Manganese Steel about 13%
What are the metal compositions for crusher plates ?
Yep, Manganese steel

haha
that crusher needs googly eyes
Hlo bro
Your video is very nice i do same work
Please u reply me and you give me a same views regarding this work
Do you have a video detailing your foundry furnace setup? I'm curious what the crucible is made from and how you fuel it. Really neat pouring design as well! Almost sounded like and air over hydraulic ram
If sourcing of manganese steel scrap is an issue, railroad switch frogs (the part of the switch where the rails cross) are manganese steel castings.
Hello good day.. What kind welding rod build-up reweld jaw plate teeth
That answered my query; are crusher jaws cast or forged? Thank you.
Amazing.., how people keep doing these things !
Nothing but awesomeness! Great work!
Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos!
Listen to heavy-metal making heavy metal
Very interesting indeed. Thanks.👍☘️
What’s the pricing on a set of jaws? We are looking for 2 pairs.
What fuels the foundry furnace?
What brand jaw crusher is this?
Nice work guys. Now when these wear out you can repeat the process and give the metal yet another life.
Great! Thanks!
This means that when the process is repeated, it will remain at the same strength as before
hope you werent planning on getting paid on this video since RUclips will hit you for the Stones Tune in the background
Great work.
Very helpful for me.
Because I have also a jaw crusher .
Now I can do this.
Thanks for sharing.
How or what's your silica moulds composition? I need to make some hammers for hammer mills
The new jaw plates is eating up those rocks with hunger❤
No heat treatment huh?
Manganese steels are air cooled having a very thin 60 plus Work Hardening layer on the Surface leaving the rest of the Jaw Softer and Tougher to absorb Shock :-)))
So there is no need to anneal out any hardness? I’m curious of why there isn’t concern for brittle failure of the part which I though is a big issue for steels. Is this what makes Manganese steel so special?
@@jonathany1240 Yes look up Robert Hadfield the inventor from Sheffield in the UK, Invented in 1882 :-))) Quite Interesting
@@markanthonystringfellow3923 it is not correct sir, during solidification segregation of carbides occur in the manganese steel which makes prone to crack during service
Not on ours, works good
Give me your phone
Nice project, what about the crusher capacity by the hour, and what did the project cost you in money and time,
They build and sell mining equiptment..
Sir aap kaha se ho
Interesting, I would have thought that you need to melt this sort of alloy in some sort of inert atmosphere furnace. Did you guys build the furnace yourselves?
No, its an old inductotherm

What's the price for the scrap metal you used, manganese? Are jaw crushers always made with that metal?
I got that plate from the scrap yard for 20 cents per pound. Manganese work hardens so it is typically used for jaw crushers
Will you cast plates for other jaw crushers?
do you cast plates for my crusher 16 wide and 24 tall thanks
Do you use any chemicals like silicon or others??
manganese., chromium., nickel
Sir please tell me the jaw plates Scrap dealership in Andhra Pradesh and telangana
You took the fun out of it when you open the sand molds off camera
