I had to be in 220 for regionals in 2 weeks and I was 243. They told me to get to 230 by the end of the week. I lost around 14lbs in 4 days by wearing a trashbag, 2 hoodies, 2 shorts, 2 sweatpants, and 2 pairs of socks. My diet was limiting my self 3 apples a day. Did not feel good, but looking back at it, it was fun. Not sustainable though

Since this is your first year of wrestling then you have so much weight that you can easily cut which you don’t have to listen to me but my tip would be to keep eating everyday not super unhealthy but still eating because then you will wrestle but on the day of a match show up about 45 minutes early if you don’t have scale at your house and check you weight if you are over just put a trash bag on under your shirt and a sweatshirt then put on sweatpants long socks go ahead put some earbuds in put your headgear over them and put your hood up then just run for 15 minutes and I bet you will lose 3 pounds easy

Fasting is an okay thing. as a person that you stay actually be at 150 or under but is now put on a lot more muscle and is further up the scale. What you're doing is perfectly fine for a 24-hour fast. I have fasted for 5 days before. I tend to feel much better after I've done a fast.
My son Wrestles 220, coming off line position in football he was 233. He made weight every weekend but struggled with fatigue by mid day. He finally stated eating health and scrapped the junk and soda and maintains 210 so he can eat dinner the night before and breakfast day of and have nothing to worry about. He’s going for 195s for his senior year.

Only cut weight hard for 1 year and the problem was I started out at around 138 lbs, but by the end of the year I was weighing close to 143 lbs at normal weight wrestling at 130 lbs and such low body fat that I was only losing food/waste and water weight. By the end of the season my performance dropped a lot because of this, especially when you have to wrestle same day you weigh in. If I went back in time I would have bumped up a weight class and probably would have performed better.
Damn I’ve been doing a 24 hr intermittent fasting schedule for like 3 months now to lose weight not anything crazy… I just eat one mean at the same time every day so usually 5p to next day at 5pm. Your body adjusts and I still workout 5 days a week
I always hated watching my buddy Mike do this in high school. Sitting at lunch and dude is in a full sweat suit. I use to get extra like corn and stuff that he could eat lol. It was worth it though him and his little brother went to penn state. Little bro one the nationals too
When I cut I eat a small amount of clean meat like chicken or deer or salmon but heavy on things considered "false calories" like rice or broccoli, I only fast for 12-16 ish hours, never really needed to for 24, but also I prefer to be on the loosing water weight side of cutting, to me if I can fuel my body enough and loose water weight which is quickly replaceable, I pick that, everyone does stuff a lil different tho and henschel is a pro so what ever works I guess This last season I had to cut 18 lbs from football to wrestling and I was only at 8% body fat before cutting

Muslims are used to this lol we gotta do it for 16-18 hours no food no water nothings in our mouth and we gotta do it for 29 days but we breack our fast at night but we gotta get up at 3:00am to eat suhoor and then from 3:00am to 8-9-10 pm we cant eat

I currently weigh 202 and I need to weigh 187. I’ve been doing diets of staying under 1200 calories, yet the number on the scale has only been going higher. Recently I’ve only been eating omelets bc they have no carbohydrates and I could realistically eat as many as I want and get a crap ton of protein and work it off(which I do) but is that gonna work? I need advice on how to get that weight off.

My worst cut was 2 days out from weigh ins, walked into practice at 122 and I had to get to 108.. boy that was rough.
