I had to update my computer and reinstall everything...so I ended up installing Visual Studio 2022 and starter freaking out because it looks way different than the VS code I remember 😂😅 I'm a total newbie in coding. Thank you for the explanation. Now I know they aren't the same.
your info is right but any Editor actually made for something called competitive programming which simply means you can create the whole environment and attach it to the editor that means you can use vs code to create a whole GUI app but in hard coded mode that's why it's called competitive .
Honestly, since I am making an FNF Kade Engine mod, VS Code is more of my type. I mean VS is good, but it can't open XML files, and VS Code can. The interface is more friendly to me and VS Code is just better.
I have a C# assignment. I have both and I'm totally confused about which one to use. The problem is visual studio code runs my simple hello world program so it makes it super confusing. However, I understand it may not have all the library and such. Guess it is visual studio then.
I installed Visual Studio because i am learning unity, but lets say i want to make a java Project out of curiosity or i want to make, for example, a bot, or something like that, do i use VS or VS code?
So let’s say I want to make a GUI with python, Visual Studio would be better than Visual Studio Code? Also, I’m looking to download onto a raspberry Pi to write a program to automate a machine but also create a GUI the user can control the machine with.
Though first I felt the accent a little difficult to understand but the video was very helpful and very to the point and concise. In 5 minutes it explained the subject right away. No pointless music. No waste of time. Very clear information. We need more videos like this.
I personally don't believe you fully understand the differences and just spouting what you've seen people mentioned in some blog posts or internet forums.
Adam, I've been using VS since version 2005, and VS for 5 years. If you think I miss a something, make your point in the comment instead of calling me out.
@@TechWithPat He says that because, VS code has almost all features, except it's competitive to code. And it's great for many languages, unlike VS. VS is a heavyweight download than VS code. So most people prefer VS code over VS.
Well explained, thanks! Concise and simple

Ahmed, you are right, but In terms of dev experience, it's easier to work with Visual Studio.

Vs code: code editor, simple.
Visual studio: IDE, designer, code editor, supports, more complete.

Thanks for this explanation.
In my experience VSCode has the worst IntelliSense among VS and Qt when using C/C++
Which editor do you recommend for C/C++?

C'est pas un français qui parle là ? Si c'est le cas, fais aussi une vidéo en français. Des étudiants aiment ta vidéo
En effet, peut-être que je ferais des vidéos en français dans le future.
