Perhaps Lucius is the true villain, not Gibeon. plot twist of the century!
Horizons have been delivering every great story reveals and twists. And seeing Amethio smiling genuinely at the loyalty of his crew was sweet to see. Amethio has been nothing but a great character and this was really important for him to learn more about Gibeon's history with Rakua and Lucuis.
11:12 The sparkling is green in colour, and at the same exact spot if im not mistaken, the zygarde cells jumped in to contain them...
I bet Lucius and those Zygarde Cells have been chilling in that big crystal for the last 100 years!
I wouldn't be surprised if none of the explorers know how fast the Crystals spread, Gibeon told the explorers that they could become immortal thanks to the Eternal Blessing but not that the world would be destroyed
I swear everything to do with Zygarde in the anime, especially in HZ, gets me so hyped!!
Like I was so surprised to see the regular cell move around, and if there is a connection between Zygarde and Rakuriam then what could it be? Such a mysterious Pokemon! 💚

That scene where the Cells were glistening around the Rakuriam cluster, I was like "This Pokemon has Aura!"
This is pretty random, but I just realized that if the series doesn’t end after everyone reaches Rakua (fingers crossed) and Amethio joins the RVTs in future episodes (extra fingers crossed) Zir and Conia will probably go with him and Zir will get to meet Dot aka Nidothing. Now I want to see Zir have a similar realization as Liko when she learned that fact only Zir realizes one of the people he’s been fighting and chasing and has been his enemy is actually someone he really likes😅

Also I love how we got to see little Amethio and Charcadet they are truly best friends and not just partners…😅
I wonder if Gibeon wants the Laquium, not for himself, but to perhaps resurrect his daughter...? I mean, Mollie did state that it could regenerate things, (such as body parts). So, is it possible that it could also resurrect the deceased, as maybe it could also regenerate life...?

Makes sense based on how Gibeon's perspective of the incident was from his side.
And Many have assumed that we're nearing the end of Horizons because we'll be battling Gibeon & Zygarde, but not a lot of people took into consideration Spinel in that regard as he's rising up with his machinations that he's been doing behind the scenes; so who knows- he might take over as a new main antagonist boss after Gibeon.
I wonder if Pokemon Horizions is setting up a big reveal of a brand new Legendary/Mythical Pokemon that's heavily connected to Rakurium or, if not, Rakurium is somehow itself in a plot twist a Pokemon... perhaps even tieing in with the upcoming Pokémon Legends: Z-A?

I always like it when a single story of the past is framed where it's the same events but told in different perspectives. We know that Lucius and Rystal tried to stop Lucius from touching the Rakurium likely not wanting to do any harm to the paradise but at the same time to Gibeon, him being a researcher he wanted look into what it is and what it can do. Course Gibeon probably never considered that being exposed to Rakurium messed with his head at the time. This portion also added how Gibeon left Rakua and how EXCEED was created and it was funded through the research into Rakurium and what it can do. I imagine Gibeon learned of what it is capable of and have made the same conclusions as Molly did. You could say losing his daughter drove him to wanting to finish what he had started prior along with the concept of living eternally.
The meeting with Hambert adds an extra depth to the Explorers where the most of the Explorer Admins were taught by him namely Onyx, Sango, Chalice, and Amethio with Spinel being the exception as he was handpicked by Gibeon himself mainly for his brains and cunning. In other words, Sango and Onyx are those who have Hambert's trust and to some extent Chalice but not so much Spinel. Either Spinel has grander plans with Rakurium than Gibeon or he knows Gibeon's true nature and is all for it and even getting Chalice into the fun while at it.
1:04 there's actually evidence of that in my school vr game (During the cutseen after Anerga boss fight, Spinal experiments with it on Goalius and bits of Goalius like parts of his wings and his middle finger detonated and are replaced with Rakurium that grows from it and judging by the roars of agony and tears coming down it looks really unpleasant)
- Lost his mother when he was a kid
- Neglected by his father all of his life
- A close family member/friend became his father figure
- His only friend is a Fire-type
- Helps the main protaganist because of other plans
- Dedicated his entire life because he wants his boss' approval
- Learns the truth of 100 years ago by his father figure
- Is banished by his organization even though he did something right
- Is on the path to redeeming himself
- Will eventually join the heroes he fought against for a while

hey were really inspired by Zuko when creating the character of Amethio. They gave him minor differences, such as Amethio's mother passing away, while Ursa was just banished, and Amethio being an only child, etc.

Personally, I think it’s under EXCEED in Levincia. When the episode preview where the Eternal Blessing was revealed aired, I mistook the hallways of EXCEED as Friede breaking into the base. But when the chairman of the company was revealed to be Gibeon, and the CEO is related to him, I started putting the pieces together.
Plus the theme that plays in the background for EXCEED is literally the Explorers’ theme sped up and in a different key.
I’m getting Gen 6 Deja Vu.

I’m wondering WHAT IF Zygarde absorbs the rakuarium causing it’s cells to replicate faster meaning it would have enough cells to BECOME ZYGARDE 100% FORM. 😱 Like how it took squishy and Z2 combining their cells together to reach 100% form. THAT WOULD BE ABSOLUTELY CRAZYYYY 😱🤯😱🤯

I loved this episode so much. We got to know more of Amethio's backstory through photos, which made me feel very sorry for him. We also got another perspective of what happened between Lucius and Gibeon in Laqua 100 years ago, which I find interesting. I also loved that they confirmed Laquium being capable of granting immortality. Overall, I give this episode a 10/10, and I hope Amethio sides with the Rising Volt Tacklers once he realizes that his grandfather really is evil.

I Got a Couple Episodes to Catch up on but, thanks to the review i'm excited to Reach episode 83
I feel like Gibeon's recollection of events is flawed, since he's pretty much the poster boy of "This is your brain (shows egg, cracks it into a frying pan) (shows frying egg) This is your brain on drugs (Laquium)" and BOY, when Amethio and Hamber find that out.
Also, ya know since we're getting ZA soon, I kinda wonder about the possibility of them introducing AZ to the anime, considering the whole costs of immortality thing. Different methods of obtaining their immortality, sure, but it would be neat to see them compare the prices paid.
Bit of a theory here: Does anybody remember the Megalith? (I believe it was called the Giant Rock in English) The crystals inside of the core of the Megalith (Where Chespie was) share a similar look and structure to that of Rakurium.
I theorize that Rakurium is crystallized IE (Infinity Energy, Mega Evolution Energy, whatever you wanna call it)
ONE MORE THING! The Megalith (Giant Rock) also had the power of regeneration. It also grew in size at an alarming rate.

Something that i just thought of is that zygarde being split is a reference to the xyz serie.
There one cores was siding with humanity and other against it but after being saved by humans and being conviced by the other core they fused into 100% zygarde.
Pretty cool to see the same dynamic here with zygarde being the protector of the ecosystem.
One side is fine with destroy part of the ecosistem as long as it will do good for the future while the other thinks that destroying what they are a tasked to protect just to get something that could emprove the future goes against everything they stand for.

My theory on the Zygarde cell is that the Rakuium not only accelerates cell growth but enhances them allowing that lone cell to develop something resembling sentience
In the trailer Arc, it was show that Gibeon was the true villian. Most probably the explorer was misled and that why we can see Liko, Roy, Dot and Amethio face off against Zygard.

I really really liked this episode we know little bit more about amethio and i like reading and hearing all the crazy theory i really hope we get to know more about amethio in future and really hated the fact that amethio 's father just abandoned him 😢

I got the impression that Hamber was trying to antagonize Lucius by telling the story the way that he did. But clearly Amethio wasn't convinced since he doesn't want to fight blindly against Liko and the RTVs just because they're on Lucius' side.
From the backstory we got, it was strictly from Rystal giving an abridged version, but what she said was that after finding the Laquium, Lucius just decided to leave it alone and get nothing from it cause it might disturb the environment.
If this material is capable of regenerating cells to the point of immortality, the medical possibilities is VAST. To not try to study and try to use that for the benefit of humanity feels like a waste. So Gibeon would be angered by Lucius for deciding to do nothing at all.
Both sides have a noble sentiment.
Sure, there is the threat of the Laquium spreading in an uncontrollable manner, but many people would take the risk.
I do like a bit of extra nuance. Have some grey morality here.

Really loving the direction of this story. That would be interesting if there is more to the whole if they should use the crystals and how good or bad they are. Idk if it’s going to be that depth because it’s Pokemon but it be cool if so. “We’re in the endgame now”
Tbh it was kinda obvious that he would end up being the true villain ever since the episode that Liko and Amethio were trapped in that cave and Roy and Dot faced against his umbreon being powered by rakurium also now that I think about it why would the shiny zyguarde stay by Gibeon’s side if he really had evil intentions zyguarde is known for keeping order

I’m getting the sad feeling Amethio won’t change and he will pretend to work with TRVT with the intent to help his grandfather.
He literally said he wouldn’t fight for his grandfather but he would fulfil his grandfather’s wishes.
Also I totally knew that portrait of the woman at Exceed and now Amethio’s home was his mother but something tells me that she didn’t just suddenly “have a road rage accident and die”…
I think there’s more it. Also I noticed that the photos of young Amethio pointed out something interesting… that his father is in one photo only along with Hamburg whereas his mother are in all photos, no photos of grandfather either 😐
I pray Amethio genuinely switches sides.
I got the impression that Amethio still doesn't know the true extent of Gibbeon's goal. I think he still believes that his grandfather wants to do something good and isn't aware that his true goals are evil.
This could be the reason that he ultimately aligns himself with the RTVs - because he realises that Gibbeon's plans aren't noble, but selfish and all about an hunger for power.
I'm loving Pokemon Horizons!! It's consistently interesting! I'm looking forward to what's coming!
This episode was interesting but I don’t think luchius would betray like that hopefully amitho will help the rvt if not realise what side his on can’t wait for the big battle between everyone
Amethio's child design and backstory reminds me a lot from Lillie and especially Gladion. Literally a son of rich parents with his partner's pre-evo.
Really cool episode imo. One of the thing I really liked is how Mollie used real biology knowledge to assume Rakurium's influence on himans.
Characters in HZ in general act way smarter, than in Ash's one. In terms of backstory, it's just the same as Rystal said but from Gibeon's POV, which is interesting, but hoping Gibeon would have more background for himself.
Also it's cool how Explorers have secret alliances within their own organisation.
Gibeon wants to reach Laqua, Spinel wants to help him and having his own goal for it by allying with Chalse (and Amethio is an obstacle for him).
Hamber is helping both Gibeon and Amethio. Coral and Sidian are just neutral and watching from the side.
And Amethio wants to reach Laqua not for the sake of Gibeon but for himself, which will lead him to meeting Liko again.
That's like some GoT level of relationship.
Laquaium affects human tissue? It could help 7 billion people and doctors across all the regions, even prevent death.

So we know that gibeon zygarde is definetelly going to have that new form in legends za and gibeon want eternal life so what if the source of the rakurium are xenears and yveltal?

Okay Reading the comments, I was getting a Mr freeze type of backstory. Though watching most of the video that doesn't seem to be the case. I am however getting Pet Sematary vibes. Though that's if Gibeon wants to resurrect his daughter. I still don't trust anything out of his mouth. Perspectives is very important. However, how much is Gibeon telling the truth about his version of events? Maybe You're right and it's not so black and white. But, I don't really have a reason to trust anything Grandpa G has to say.

I had this theory a good three months ago….and it might be coming true, given the evidence we have.

Basically same logic a legend of an ancient hero that saved the world 6 unique powers inside warrior to defeat a great evil who want to rule the world
Those 6 unique powers go sent to new warrior and they need to pass trial in order to restore that power, then unite that power to either bring peace or destruction
The plot twist was the two assisting you are descendants of the evil ruler actually want the power back to restore the world to make up for the sin of their ancestors
Than where is the legendary hero in all this? The legendary hero is still alive but aim to collect to power to rule the world now

Gibeon wants eternal life, thats why he wanted to find Rakua
The reason why Sphinel was after raqua was bc he isn’t after just life but he also wants to use the power to issue power for himself creating chaos

Well What If Spinel Was The Real Reason Behind Amethio's Mother's Car Crash? I brought this one because of my earlier statement basically trying to Take Out Amethio which he had no qualms in doing so straight to the point which means that he wouldn't have any problems doing the same thing to The Former's Mother after All he knew a lot about Amethio's Family when he was at Exceed because he was The True Source Of Amethio's Familial Discourse.
this episode was sooo hype dude even if it had no action the loredrop was crazy!!! I didn't even realize the thing about the zygarde cell though, that's true, how does it have a bond with Hamber? So, um, I'm gonna drop some crazy theories
Could the cell possibly be a core somehow, despite not looking like one? Will Hamber end up utilizing the other half of Zygarde? I don't know what he'd do with Zygarde, but it sure sounds dope :P
And a theory for the next episode:
It says in the next episode part of this episode that Rayquaza was a bad omen to the village (something like that, I don't remember it well, I watched it at like 3am) And with the Rakurium sparkling like that as the RVT approach the village, maybe the power of the Legendary Heroes causes some sort of reaction to the Rakurium, and it maybe grows a little, destroying the village somehow? Just an on the spot theory, but it could be possible :] ANYWAYS, W video, and nice subtitles honestly I don't know what I'd do without those

I saw a lot of people suspect for a while that Gibbeon was extending his age with rakirum, but it's cool to finally see that be confirmed.
Even though Gibbeon and the explorers are bad people, it's still cool to see Gibbeon's motivation for why he's doing what he's doing, it adds more depth to his character.
I really like it when stories really dive in to the motivations of villians like that, it just makes me love horizons even more.

Im so confused and worried about the overall complete future for Pokémon. Since Pokémon horizons is already ending which means that Liko will probably no longer be the main Charakter or a part of the anime due to the fact her Pokémon already are decently evolved. This was different with ash because he could reset by leaving his „side Pokémon“ behind and staying with pikachu. Liko obviously can’t travel and start new story arcs with full evolved Pokémon. Somit worried that there will be new main Charakters in each new season meaning you can never really grow attached to any Charakters:( did Pokémon already say what they wanna do in the future?

Oops my bad, I totally forgot to include this in the review! I loved that moment, and it made sense to me that Amethio already assumed it could be true before the reveal! It shows how much attention he's been paying to Liko, and that's awesome 😁
