@JohannesMotorcycleAdventures Consider getting into older generation twin cylinder enduro bikes as a halfway bike between the T7 and the Husky. @@JohannesDalen maybe a slight adjustment, but GS no never really over say a Transalp or Tiger 900. Then probably a smaller bike, electric trail bike like a Cake
I am released! I got a bit dissapointed when the 701 was changed to the T7. I have similar setup, KTM250 EXC for enduro and dual sport, and the 690 optimised for gravel and tarmac as I only do adv riding in the nordics. Have fun with the 350! I had 350 previously but it was a bit too snappy for my skill in the very technical terrain in my neighbourhood but great for normal enduro.
Yeah I know a few 690/701 riders got a disappointed, which I completely understand, but the switch made a lot of sense for my situation. I haven't ridden the 250, but for proper enduro riding I can imagine it's excellent. I think the bigger engine in the 350 will allow me to dual sport it a bit too. Let's see what the future holds with the new bike :)
@@JohannesDalen I really think you are spot on regarding the best of two worlds, reliable comfort for adv with the T7 and max funfactor for dual sport with emphasis on single track with the 350. I don't have any experience with the 450, but I've talked to a few enduro friends of mine. They all suggested the 350 because the 450 is too much when it gets technical. Probably the better bike if you have to cover some tarmac, but I rode a few hours on the tar with the 350 in Portugal - uncomfortable, but perfectly doable!
Great choices Johannes. These seem like great alternatives to the 701 and DRZ you had paired before. They just make sense for where and how you seem to ride. So happy for you! I am truly learning from your process of figuring out what you want and need. Looking forward to seeing what kind of trouble you get into with these two lol. My Versys X-300 should be here this week by the way! Fortnite definitely killed that video as well and the Desert X is sick. I got to sit on one and the Tuareg 660 on back to back days last week and I can see why someone would buy both of those bikes. They were really nice.
Thank you! I tried to add some "knowledge" I've gotten through experience before I revealed the new bike regarding the T7. The biggest thing I've learned so far is knowing what the bike is and isn't, if that makes sense. I could have used a lot of money trying to make the T7 an offroad bike, but with me as a rider it will never be. That money is better spent at a proper enduro machine that I can use on the enduro track and become a better rider, faster. Thanks for watching :)
Great bike the Husky, Billy Bolt loves his. 😂😂😂 I know this is RUclips and viewers have a thing for new bikes all the time but for what you want to use it for a 10 year old 450 would have been perfect at a fraction of the cost, a Yamaha WR or a KTM, there are plenty out there and still a very good bike for the average to good rider, 90% rider, 10% bike. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah I know this wasn’t the best move financially, but I did get it at a discount, and what you say about rider and bike is 100% true. This bike is way too good for me 😅
@@JohannesDalen I live in Cape Town, South Africa and got into adventure and ds riding. There is an area close to me with single tracks and sand. After looking for a can do all bike for a long time I came to the conclusion that there is no unicorn bike which does everything. The 650 Superdual is good for long distance travels but not so good in the bush. The 250 is a weapon on single tracks and sand and very easy to ride. Bonus is that you learn so much on a light bike which in return makes you a better rider on a bigger bike.
@@JohannesDalen I got a long range tank and Seat Comfort seat for the WR250F but due to gearing and no cush hub not used her for longer trips. We do ds rides sometimes but I would not take her on a multi day ride with luggage.
Hi Johannes, 350 Husky??? Well, i guess that`s very near by the 400 DRZ (my gosh - i love this Suzuki Bikes...). Very interested for the follow Vid`s. Best Regards, Alfred
Hi Alfie 😁 the DRZ is great, but the FE350 is a completely different beast, 40kgs lighter. More FE350 to come when the winter melts away! All the best my friend
Hehe, yeah just blame me for it! 😁 Have you decided to go with the 350 over the 501? I thin the 501 is very interesting too, and if I didn't plan to do any enduro at the enduro track, I would have gone with the 501.
@@JohannesDalen I’m leaning towards the 501, because I’m coming from the 701 and I’m a similar size to you 1.92m and thick set, and I won’t be racing, just riding trails and holding the torque, plus a few local tarmac single lanes…….really I want to ride both before I choose, but it’s not so easy.
My time with the 500/501 is limited, but based on my understanding of that bike through other RUclipsrs and friends, it is the bike to get for you in your situation. You'd probably be fine with either, but the 501 is the more trail oriented bike I think, and the 350 more enduro/race oriented. Have you watched EVEride's video with the 500? One of my favorite videos on YT!
Maybe your decision was influenced by all the Husqvarna merch you still have in the wardrobe?? :):)To be able to pick up the right keys for the right ride is a joy. I'm torn between the Tuareg 660 and the Tenere' 700... As an off-road rider moving into ADV riding, I'm looking to do actual adventure riding, I want a bike with substantial weight and power for that. If I'm going ride enduro \ single track then I want the light weight and nippy power of my Husky TE250. Back to the ADV bikes, the Aprilia is very interesting to me, but its unknown reliability, heavy electronics and(here in the US) its lack of dealerships \ support make me leery of getting one. On the other hand the T7 is a rock of reliability, has nothing electronic I don't want or need and there's close to 900 Yamaha dealers around the Country. Good luck with the new Husky 350.. You're in for a nice surprise once you experience that engine and chassis on the off-road stuff.
I’m not saying the Tuareg 660 is unreliable, but the known reliability of the T7 is the reason I’d buy another one if I doing this all over. The Tuareg is the better bike, but I value the reliability more than those 10% of performance. Thank you, I’m looking forward to getting to know this bike 😁
@@JohannesDalen Unfortunately, the "unknowns" with the Aprilia put me off. Then there's the $$... I'm buying new, I can purchase and equip a new T7 with all the mods I'll need and come is well under the cost of a Tuareg.
The Touareg is NOT a better offroader than the 890R, he was wrong on that. The 350 is going to open to you a whole different dimension of riding, like my 500EXC did to me.
I haven't ridden the 890 recently, and when I did I was a much less experienced rider than I am now, and that's why I'm not sure if I agree or not. I love the Tuareg 660, but I can also imagine the 890 being very good. If I get the chance to test ride one again I will.
My dreambike👌 How much is it in Norway with registration and plates? And how much is a plated crf300l? In Denmark a new FE350 is close to 20.000 Eur with number plates, that is an awful lot of money 🤑! A new plated cfr300l is around 9600 Eur. Nice choice!
The FE350 is 13,5k euro fully registered, I got it a bit cheaper as a part of a marketing deal with the local Husqvarna dealer. A plated crf300l is 6700 euro. I'm shocked to hear the FE350 is that expensive in Denmark, also that it is more pricey somewhere else than in Norway!

Let me know when you are ready for Gotland Grand National😀 I could arrange great place to stay and tips and tricks. By the way we arranged extreme enduro in my hometown last weekend. Check out Novemberkåsan Bollnäs 2022 on youtube, especially night part. Crazy audience 25.000 spectators dragging us stuck drivers out of mudholes😂😂
Check this out from my hometown. Extrem enduro with funfactor for the spectators

Good choice, can't wait.
Me netiher 😁
@@JohannesDalen was looking at a Husky 450 for this exact same reason so intrigued about the smaller one. Keen to know weight difference feel and how the smaller one goes on tarmac riding. I have to do a few k's to get to the good stuff!
Very nice choice, hard to beat. Will make awesome content. Different league than a 300L.
Thank you Mike! Yes, as much as I like the 300L, there’s no comparison really. Will be more enduro content as soon as the winter is over 😊
@@JohannesDalen Nice, I look forward to it. Have fun shopping for knee braces and rad guards.
Good combination, congratulations !
Thank you Ferkuzuel :)
@@JohannesDalen that makes total sense to me. No worries. Thanks for another good video.
Great bike the Husky, Billy Bolt loves his. 😂😂😂
I know this is RUclips and viewers have a thing for new bikes all the time but for what you want to use it for a 10 year old 450 would have been perfect at a fraction of the cost, a Yamaha WR or a KTM, there are plenty out there and still a very good bike for the average to good rider, 90% rider, 10% bike.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Yeah I know this wasn’t the best move financially, but I did get it at a discount, and what you say about rider and bike is 100% true. This bike is way too good for me 😅
Good decision. I bought a Yamaha WR 250F in March this year and have a SWM 650 Superdual X.
Thank you Lars! Are you using that WR250F for enduro riding or local dual sporting?
Why not to get a pickup truck or just trailer + cheap hard enduro bike?
Very jealous, and very pleased for you…… very keen to see it.
Have I used the word “very” too much? I very much want one too 😃👍
Thanks a lot Alan!
I very much understand, stay tuned for more content with the very cool FE350 😁
@@JohannesDalen I’ve just sent off 2 enquiries…… wonder if they’ll swap for an immaculate 2022 701.
I’ll tell them it’s your fault (english humour) 😃
Hehe, yeah just blame me for it! 😁
Have you decided to go with the 350 over the 501?
Ok for a moment I thought you were going to replace the T7 with a Desert X 😅 Congrats on the FE. Never rode one but it seems a beast
Hehe, my T7 is not going anywhere, not even for a Ducati!
Thanks André, if you get the chance you should test one, absolute nuts bike!
Your bike your pick my friend 😊
Maybe your decision was influenced by all the Husqvarna merch you still have in the wardrobe?? :):)To be able to pick up the right keys for the right ride is a joy. I have a heavily modified CCM 404 with offroad and supermoto wheels, a CCM 644 (now 710) also with both sets of wheels and a Tiger 800 XRT. Pick the ride, pick the bike and enjoy! I applaude the decision :)
Thanks Keith! If you take a closer look at the sewing machine in the background you’ll see its an old Husqvarna too 😁
I knew it when you posted a photo of it a couple of weeks ago already 😂
I did? Thought I kept it ‘secret’ for Patreons 😁
@@JohannesDalen i think it was on Instagram, it didn’t say you was gonna buy it but I just knew that was the case😂
Congrats Johannes! Coming next: Johannes builds a bigger garage…
Thanks Kym!
When I try to build anything I hit my thumb more than the nail, so I will not build anything 😅
My dreambike👌
How much is it in Norway with registration and plates? And how much is a plated crf300l?
In Denmark a new FE350 is close to 20.000 Eur with number plates, that is an awful lot of money 🤑!
A new plated cfr300l is around 9600 Eur.
Nice choice!
The FE350 is 13,5k euro fully registered, I got it a bit cheaper as a part of a marketing deal with the local Husqvarna dealer. A plated crf300l is 6700 euro. I'm shocked to hear the FE350 is that expensive in Denmark, also that it is more pricey somewhere else than in Norway!
@@JohannesDalen Yes, I think we in Denmark have the world's highest prices for plated motorcycles 🤦🏼♂️🤬 What a place to live with this hobby 😆

Supert.

When did everyone start calling a full on enduro racing bike a dual sport bike?
Ahhh 😂, December fools day 😜
Money pit? You mean a open mine money pit, the endless dark hole 😅
I was 100% thinking about you Marcus when I said that about adv bikes and money pits, but what you're doing is legendary at the same time!
@@JohannesDalen I have a T7 money pit that I tricked out for enduro use, rides great now but the problem remains the CoG, just too much mass too high up for technical trails. If you go off a very narrow axis of lateral movement you suddenly have a Goldwing on your hands. But for your use of adv travel is a perfect bike
Pity that 660 engine likes to drop valve seats.
There are no unicorn motorcycles. At some point in the ride, you are on the wrong bike, you have the wrong tires, you are wearing the wrong gear. I say buy 2 bikes, an ADV bike and a dirt-bike bike.
You’re right John, and I agree regarding having two buys, which is exactly what I’ve did 😁
Agree totally, been doing that since 1980.
Agree, but I want 3 ! Full on enduro/dirt bike, more true DS (be it performance or lower performance) and more ADV leaning. I just need the goldilocks bike now. :)
Once you had a 701 you can never downgrade to a T7 again 😆
Hehe, well I like the 701, but for my use where I live, a T7 and a much lighter bike makes more sense 😁
@@JohannesDalen its a good call, I have a 701 and a ktm 950 adv now. Used to have an africa twin 750 and a drz. The dream is a tuareg 660 for the street and a FE350 for offroad. Nice christmas gift you gave yourself! Light is right
That’s a sweet setup as well!
If it isn’t obvious: I’m a huge fan of the Tuareg, such a great bike.
Thanks, I’ll let you know what I think about the fe350 as soon as I have it 😊
Aprilia ?..I would say?
Hehe
Why don't you face the challenge and take your T7 down the nastiest trails? Your plenty strong to handle it...
And making life easier with a more capable bike isn't always the most fun way to go. At least that's how I am looking at it😉
Oh I absolutely will! And I agree with your statement, that's why I said riding offroad on a big bike is fun. But it comes down to the trails that I can ride legally where I live. If I want to ride and record offroad riding (besides some easy gravel), I have to go to the enduro track, and that's not possible on the T7 😅 I mean, Pol Tarres probably could, but the track we have close is labeled as "hard enduro", I could barely walk up the track..
@@JohannesDalen I see. I haven't done anything like those enduro tracks yet, but I enjoy myself a lot on the mx tracks and the countrylanes we have around here on the T7. Feel free to check out some of my vids😇
Yes you will sell, sure you will. Not for a Honda Transalp, of course not... it may reach close to the T7, if they do an excellent job maybe on par with it, but I don't think so, it will be different, for a slightly different customer base. No, no...not for a Honda, but you will sell sooner then later.
I will not keep it forever, but I'm not going to sell it within 5 years. Bet you a bitcoin I won't ;)
@@JohannesDalen Not a bitcoin... it will go to 250K :)
After you ride the Husqvarna Fe 501 you will sell the 350…
The Tuareg 660 is truly a T7 killer, but what is missing, is a JAPANESE T7 killer.
You’re right David, and that’s why I don’t own a Tuareg 660!
Actually what is missing is a Japanese 701 killer. If that got made I'd sell my other bikes.
I told my wife I’m going to get a T7 and keep my ktm500exc, why do you need 2 bikes she says. 😂
Ask her why she needs two pairs of shoes the next time you’re at the store, it’s just the same! 😅😅
I need to buy a bigger bike so I can also buy a Beta 200 RR 😂
Read me like an open book 😉
Bad choice, you should have bought a Sherco 300
I’ve heard good things about the Sherco - I’d love to hear why you think so David.
@@JohannesDalen The Sherco is fitted with class leading KYB SSS forks and shock, not the WP crap. They are proving to very reliable, their value for money is better, especially if you buy the factory edition, unlike the KTM's they really are ready to race. They are really nicely put together and the factory is better at honoring warranty claims. The tour companies around the world are starting to buy them for their reliability.
