I saw then way back in 2008 they were they lead end for slipknot as the head liner and five finger death punch was on the 3rd stage.... Great fucking show.

I really love the symbolism of this video. They showed images and words constantly on those television screens that portayed topics the media likes to push on us. From climate change creating unnatural weather (the weather disaster blowing away the roof of the house) to just the concept of our planet is in peril and we must act (the words changing from "your planet" to "our profit" towards the end). Then there was symbolism using the people and surroundings too, like how when someone tries to give some reasoning to all this madness and expose them for who they truly are they turn everyone against them (the new intern bringing hope only to be eaten alive by the demonic media members). Even the main character and mascot is playing the role of a vengeful god coming in to exact justice and stop the devils take over. Which is something I think many people wish would happen. Many people just want all the negativity to stop and just be able to live their lives without all these complications to keep interfering. So the bands mascot is essientially playing out our hearts desire. All be it in a very graphic manner we all may not want it done like. Still the symbolism can be the same. Doesnt matter what news station it is hence all the different news stations appearing on there. The flames and destruction gives off the chaos thats ensuing around everyone due to everyone focusing on the news topics rather than focusing on actually being productive or actually going out and creating a postive change. The viewers turning into demon like creatures themselves expresses how people get influenced into repeating the same kind of negative actions or talking points. It also expresses how many bring harm upon themselves due to being influenced. The crooked torn up buildings kind of shows how society is crumbling apart and how when people arent being productive everything falls apart ever so slowly. How do we repair anything broken when were too busy following the latest trend or finding something new to hate?
They did this video and song very well. I really liked the comic like design. Seeing the mascot riding that bike reminded me of the ghost rider from marvel comics. The way he is watching over earth kind of gives us that massive power we humans can never achieve.
I would also like to point out how using terminology like "the vengeful one" lets it not be tied to one religious practice which is nice. The greeks thought of Zeus as a sort of vengeful god. For the Nordic gods it would likely be Odin. For the Hebrews it might be YWBCH himself as he is their only god im pretty sure. For Christians its also only "our father" or simply god. So it has awsome lyrics and visuals. The instruments were being rocking out on and it was overall a great song and video.

@@elenadinu7576Growing up thinking the media is our friend. Oh boy. was i wrong. Thats why i stoped watching tv since i was pretty young. Good thing internet came along so i can do my own research if i want. But even this is getting harder and harder. Im getting really tired of this. Cheers
