    I got a very similar bike and noticed the same noise, and guess what? Yes! I'ts the battery, I put tape arround and stopped the noise

      Thanks for chiming in with this feedback Juan! I wondered if it was the battery or the headset. Your solution is great too, thanks so much!

    Another nice review. I really appreciate the increased review productivity. I love the variety of bikes that you test and review. You are not a retailer so you do not review bikes that you are trying to sell and not having your web site filled,with Ebike adverts allows you to be more objective, in my opinion. I think if I were spending $5k I would expect the bike,to have no compromises but at this price point it is a dance between features and expense. I owned a Qualisports Volador that I loved for it’s light weight, foldability and utility. I was willing to accept the small battery capacity given my riding style but the inability to have a suspension seat post eventually led me to sell it. I’m impressed that this Jupiter has some sort of rear suspension especially for a short wheel base 20” bike.

      Thanks Jay! It seemed like a good compromise for the price. I feel like the battery is the biggest trade off, so expect shorter range. Everything else was as expected or even above average :)

    I have the X5 and love it! Might graduate up to the X7 eventually, but I like how portable and light the X5 is. It's practical to lift into my car, while most folding ebikes aren't so much. :) Love the rear suspension too. Very comfortable to ride.

      Awesome! Thanks for sharing your experience with the X5. I liked the suspension too, it’s a nice design :)

    Hopefully, you get to do a review on the Jupiter Atlas soon! We actually have had the X5 for a couple years now. I replaced that rear suspension coil with a much softer spring that works great. I also replaced the forks with a set of Suntour air forks so it's pretty plush now. We are in the market for a larger bike like the Atlas for my wife and 3 year old son with a child seat on the rear rack.

    I do hope you get a chance to review the XP Lite. This bike seems similar in weight, but the styles of the two bikes are very different.

      Thanks for the request Tom! It seems like they are doing a good job for the price, I’ll keep an eye out.

    Hey eBike Friend;
    I am subscribed to your channel, but I don't know your name, I'm sorry about missing it I suppose. I want to thank you for doing all these comparisons and reviews of the ebikes. A big compliment to you on your cool googles. If you don't mind, tell us where you bought yours from? I ended up buying a Pedego Interceptor back in October, after eating the asphalt with my old knees twice I realized this bike is a lot heavier than anything I have ever owned before, (first crash) and gravel (second crash) is a bicyclist Arch Enemy. Thanks for what you do friend. Stay safe, Paul

    Specifications are very close to the new Lectric XP Lite, but $400 more. Does the rear suspension, derailleur, fenders, and mag wheels justify the added cost?

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  2 года назад +4

      Hi Gerry! Maybe for some people it’s worth it. I really like the suspension at the rear because it softens the bumps for my knees, back, and neck. It’s hard to achieve that with just a front suspension or just a seat post suspension. I also like to have gears vs single speed. It’s nice that Lectric offers a super affordable folder, even if it’s a bit stripped down :)

      The Lectric looks like a generic Chinese folding bike frame, this looks like more engineering and design work were made. It is a big price difference though, maybe worth it to some

    This bike is exactly the same bike as the Onebot S6L, dont pay $1249 for this when you can get the same bike for 629

      Which Sondors model are you talking about? Their Fold X appears to be way more expensive at $2,259 shop.sondors.com/pages/fold-x

    Too bad this Jupiter bike falls short of what I need. I need an electric power only range of no less than 25 miles per full charge or 50 miles per full charge on pedal assist mode. Only the Fiido L3 can achieve this with its max 125 miles for pedal assist per full charge or 80 miles for electric power mode per full charge. Sorry Jupiter. May be there will be an upgraded version in 2023. And, I remain hopeful since this bike looks very nice, but just falls short in range and top speed. I can achieve 22 mph on my unlocked Fiido L3 and it is fast versus the 16 mph on this Jupiter Discovery bike.

    What’s the diameter of the seat post

  • @JerseyStyle7
    @JerseyStyle7 2 года назад +4

    Top speed 16mph👎🏽 Although I’m not a speed demon I would still want my electric bike to go at least go 20 mph😖👎🏽

    • @ElectricBikeReview
      @ElectricBikeReview  2 года назад

      Yeah, the lower top speed is worth considering. I tried to be very clear about what I experienced and what the company was marketing… they actually said between 16mph and 18mph, but in any case I still feel like it’s a decent speed for a smaller bike. I’ve purposefully used lower assist and less throttle on comparable folding models to improve ride comfort and stability.
