I think he’s like a mix of Spamton and Jevil, he’s trying to be happy but in this very fight he’s done putting up with the fact that he knows just as much about the universe as the other two
What I think this fight would theoretically be like is during the happy, upbeat parts, silly and goofy attacks would be used. Think of jevil attacks. While during the darker parts, more darker and creepier attacks would be used, similar to floweys attacks in undertale yellow.
I just can't stress enough how good this song is omg- For instance!- when the beat drops [0:50] , it gives you a feeling that Flowery really is giving you all he's got for this battle [1:11] then the tune here (my personal fave) really feels like he's desperate to keep your attention with the repetitive beat [1:28] Just for it to slow down in a somber feel as if he's truly lost his audience is just perfect, especially to wrap this song up
So about the part at 1:11; I have no clue if it’s intentional or not, but that little descending leitmotif is awfully close to something equally upbeat and depressing at the same time: The main melody of Hole-dwelling by Kikuo. To sum that song up as quickly as possible, it’s a Vocaloid track about being totally resigned to a depressive slump, but between the vocals and the steel drums island instrumentals, the only hint you’d get that something’s up without looking up lyrics is one operatic cry for help, in the last minute of the song.
The repetitive tune at 1:10 starts at 1:00, during the freedom motif, and is basically the same 18-20~ish first notes of Finale from Undertale. But it just keeps going in a loop and doesn't actually proceed to that desperate but hopeful melody- he does NOT want to move on, and he's desperate not to let you move on either. So you're right- he's trying to keep your attention. Likely because he knows what happens when he can't anymore.
