What's even more insane is that throughout watching this whole video I'm thinking "yeah ok he's probably figured out some insane materia combos to get so much ATB and damage" and then I see the setup at the end and nope, it's just skill master and good ol' magic up. Aerith really is OP. Or I suck at this game. The truth is that it's both.
It's all practice. Aerith is very good when used well.
Aerith was easily one of the best characters in the original, so it's no surprise she's OP in the remake too

When I played this game when it released I wish I discovered just how overpowered Arcane Ward is. Being able to double cast magic *multiple times* for the price of one is just insane. Magic is strong enough as it is

@@jianuzzi I just tried this and I sucked. Lol. My main issue through this challenge is Leviathan. He goes up in the air then I'm done. The only way I can beat him is if I summon Ifrit to do his dives.
@@dsfsfsfsfs ya he gets annoying on the dive. You can equip Aerith with thunder and hp absorb. Block the dive attack and cast thunder to get back hp

When I first played this game I had absolutely no idea how to use Aerith properly. Now I realize she’s probably the strongest character in the game to a degree
She is very powerful. Her main downside is that all her attacks are magic based and some enemies and reflect that nullify her entirely

Ya Aerith is your strongest magic user. If your going for the trophy you don't need to turn the other characters into frogs. On bahamut, use arcane ward and use thundaga or firaga whenever anyone gets an atb to keep bahamut stun locked

I am trying to get this last trophy but dying on bahamut- what load out would you have on the other Characters?
Make sure to have stead fast block on everyone with firststrike materia. Use Aerith to put down a arcane ward and use all 3 characters use either thundaga or Firaga in the circle to stun lock bahamut til he drops. Go all out on bahamut while he's down before he gets up and summons ifrit. If ifrit gets summoned, keep using your characters focused on Bahamut using Thundaga or Firaga til he's defeated. Ifrit will be easy, but he can sometimes interrupt you sometimes
What loadout do you suggest putting on your other 2 characters? And who would you go with? Cloud and tifa?
That bahamut always fucks me up, just as hes about to go into the 2nd stunt lock i mess up and he summons ifrit

What is the purpose that the others are in frog conditioin. Just to show off? I'm hanging on this mission for two weeks. Tried all kind of tutorials and can't beat Bahamut. What if I follow your "guide" and let the others also do some damage? Your run is amazing by the way.
This is a solo challenge so I turned the other characters into frogs and removed their materia.
If your running top secrets and haven't completed it yet. I suggest you use everyone fully equipped and have no frogs. On bahamut, use Aerith's arcane ward then have everyone start casting either Thundaga or Firaga to keep him stun locked.
Bahamut bounced me all around the field with all 3 characters in play. How the flying fork you nuke his hp with just aerith?!
Aerith easily devastats bahamut. Two magic ups, Thundaga and firaga, and arcane ward.

How do you keep your MP from running out?
You get 30% mp restored after each fight. Plus using soul drain on staggered enemies gives a lot of mp back

@@DamnBoy36 I had fully maxed weapon skills when I did, but you really don't need to max them out.

@@jianuzzi it seems to me RNG seems to play a huge part in whether I succeed or not. Ex, does it take a certain level of damage on Leviathan for him to do Aquatic Force? Because to me that seems a critical point in that fight. If he chooses to do the Spinning Dive move at any point, you're pretty much dead 🤣
@@mr_minimalist4748 if you pressure leviathan before he does spinning dive without staggering him he'll get up and 7 out of 10 times he'll go straight into aqua focus. If not he'll do spinning dive or tidal wave
@@mr_minimalist4748 you can easily survive spinning dive with the right materia.
@@jianuzzi sure but with the current set up, you won't. Even if you do survive a Spinning Dive, you likely won't have enough HP for the Bahamut fight and don't get me started on that haha
i cant seem to make this work lol, shiva keeps one shotting me before i can finish the first cast of firaga
Really? Maybe you need to avoid her sleep attack. If you're having problems avoiding attacks I can help you through shareplay
@@jianuzzi how does share play work. im really not good at dodging attacks lol, made it past shiva like 5% of the time, and moogle was easy but then cant seem to dodge leviathans laser

I don't get how you do this. 90% of the time Shiva casts her familiars making her immune to attack spells before I get off the second firaga. Then with the Leviathan, Aerith is dead after he does Briny Bellow twice.
It about timing with shiva. Once you use a fire spell to drop her she will get up and immediately cast frost familiars... you have to hit her with another fire spell while she calls out the frost familiars to drop her again. Go for the kill her cuz if she gets back up, there's no dropping her again.
On leviathan there's a lot of luck in what his attacks will be. Steadfast block materia will help you survive his briny bellow attack
Plus at the end of the video I show the equipment and materia if you want to see it.
@@jianuzzi Yeah, definitely noticed there's no way to get her back down. I tried the setup you used, plus ATB assist on Tifa, and Fire and time on Cloud. Still get wrecked. Though my magic up is only level 2 and 3. So I'm grinding the Sim to level them up.

Use you Thundaga or firaga in Aerith's arcane ward to keep bahamut in a constant stun lock. You can also link fire and elemental materia on your armor so when bahamut summons ifrit, all his attacks can heal you if you leveled it up fully

@@oliveiraredfield2213 Aerith can use soul drain to get mp back. If you use soul drain on a staggered enemy you'll get a lot of mp back.
@@jianuzzi the problem was that I couldn stagger bahamut. And dont know if I stagger Leviathan, dont remember.
@@oliveiraredfield2213 you can stagger leviathan. Have lightning and elemental on your weapon to fill up his pressure faster. You can also top off mp before leviathan by using soul drain on a staggered fat chocobo

Ya, but it's a character fighting flaw that makes sense. She has to move around to make her magic work. If she stayed stationary she would be way too op

Aerith does this pretty easy compared to the other characters solo. The "aga" spells can keep him in stun lock
@@jianuzzi I saw you was using a variety of -ara and -aga spells against Bahamut. That makes Skill Master so important. Gotta level them to Max

No worries. I started off bad on my 1st playthrough. It took at lot of practice to do this challenge.
RUclipsr videos make it looks like so damn ez. Still can’t beat it. I guess I better start maxing out materia to take on again. Doing fking solo takes insane skills man.

I had to map it out. It was not easy.
I just tried this with full party. I couldnt get past leviathan. Couldnt stagger him in time. Started flying over the map. Should i focus on hìs dorcal fin instead?
@@erwincoplo6305 yes. Always focus on the dorsal fin. Aerith is an exception though
