I think this might be the best version of this song. The intro has that violin beat that screams urgency and desperation. It gives the sense of an epic showdown and two powerful souls fighting to the death. Truly, you have surpassed the original by far with this. Fantastic job.

I played the game a few times in most runs and one Stark dark theme that seems to play out in all versions and the monster kid is being used every single time. He is a form of empathy manipulation against Undyne used by us. Like holding a child up at gunpoint during a hostage situation; the aggressor knows normal people with normal empathy wouldnt knowingly hurt a child, even to stop rampaging monster. If Undyne had **less** empathy for her fellow monsters, she would have won thay fight on her own terms, like a tactical warrior would.
Fantastic cover. The only nitpick I would have is that it’s missing the counter-melody. It would have been perfect, but it’s still probably one of my favorite covers of this song.
Imagine undyne if she dodged attacks like Sans and had more green soul attacks to keep the entire fight unique. yeah Undyne would 100% mop the floor with every person who decided to do genocide. easily would have been harder then sans.
