What in the absolute hell. How many hundreds of hours did you spend transcribing, practicing, memorizing, filming, editing all this. Just...what. I am truly impressed by the amount of work it took to create this video.
aSongScout Maybe just a couple hundred ;p It certainly took a lot of time and hard work, and I'm so glad you can recognize and appreciate that! So glad you enjoyed, and thanks so much man! 😄☺️
I was just gonna say the same thing. WTH. I just so happen to have a bottle of black rum in the kitchen. After this, I think you deserve one. I will drink it for you and promise not to spill a single drop.

My guy … - 40+ minutes, no breaks. - One freaking take. No cuts. One take. - Near-Jarrod level difficulty across the board - No sheets - Transcribed to perfection before AI existed (I’ve tried to find many of these songs back then and they don’t exist for piano) - Exceptional execution - Without a single drop of rum. Doing any of these alone is insane… you did them all. As someone that can play Jarrods Pirates - I am astounded at what I’ve just witnessed. Good job dude.
I think that less than 0.0001% of the world population will have just an idea of how difficult is realize this video... This is a truly talented guy as few in the world. This is an excellent job under any point of view! Great transcribing, magnific execution, filming, editing, ...
lol I literally graduated from my 10 years of music school last week and I am still unable to play like that. I mean I Had to do over 20 minute programmes before, but i have no idea how you can still play like that. IT'S FREAKIN' EXHAUSTING ! HOW CAN YOU POSSIBLY PLAY 43 MINUTES STRAIGHT?!WITHOUT SHEETS!! ARE YOU EVEN HUMAN,BRO??!! 😅
I got all excited seeing a Pirates of the Caribbean piano arrangement.. But then I saw it was FOUR SOUNDTRACKS WORTH and was like HOW EVEN?!?!?! Incredible!!!! Great Job, Man!!!!
The amount of work that went into this is insane and commendable by itself. But its heartwarming to notice that you genuinely enjoy playing this music, and that you're just having a bit of fun
One of the things that stands out most for me with the POTC scores is how many themes and leitmotifs there are (and how well they can all be woven together.) You literally paid homage to each. and. every. one.
As a pianist who started playing because I loved the music to these movies, I so appreciate the attention to detail, the respect for the SPIRIT of these tunes, the creative liberties, the inclusion of so many CORE yet under-performed melodies, and the obvious GARGANTUAN feat of labor that went into this!!
I've honestly been listening to this piece on repeat for literal WEEKS. I seriously can't get over how absolutely stunning this arrangement is. I heard the Star Wars medley before this one and I was blown away, but this takes the cake. Can someone please get this man a recording contract?
Your rendition of One Day at 29:34 was simply spectacular. It's one of my favorite tracks from the whole Pirates of the Caribbean score, and when you played it gave me goosebumps! I had seen your La La Land medley, so when I saw this in my recommended I knew it was going to be fantastic! A brilliant job, as always!
Sera Fuad Thank you so much!! 😄 I really appreciate it. ☺️ "One Day" is definitely one of my favourites as well - it's so beautiful, and I was so excited to see that they re-incorporated it so much into the new film. I'm so glad you feel I did the piece justice! Cheers! 😁😊
I have been listenting to this medly for years whenever I need to really focus and crank something out. I listined on repeat through law school and now in my years as an attorney. Thank you for this beauty!
Dear sir, you are an absolute piano god. How this medley doesn’t have millions upon millions of views, I don’t understand. I’ve probably watched it myself close to 50 times. I aspire to be what you are on the piano. God-tier stuff.
Great work, David. Also, for anyone wondering, the Pirates of the Caribbean 'theme' that is from every movie is 'He's A Pirate'. David's rendition is superb.
i'm 16 years old and i will be taking my grade eight exam next week, tbh, i always question that if it worthy to spend so many time on an instrument, however i stop doubting when i watched your perfomence, it is just amazing and breath taking, thank you so much for posting it.
My god, how have I not seen this until today? This is sheer brilliance and I hope to death that you recognize how truly gifted and disciplined you are for being able to accomplish something like this.
I am a beginner playing a piano in self-study. I have no teachers but, if I have one, he is you. You are my role model. This is first article in RUclips. If you give some advises or resources to help my self-study, I could not be happier and I am honored to be taught. Sorry that I am not good at English.
HEEJONG HAN Aw, thank you so much!! That means so much to me 😄☺️ I don't really know what advice to give, haha. I still have so much to learn myself. But just keep practicing and stay dedicated, and always play what you love! 😊
I can't concentrate when I'm listening to songs with lyrics which is why the Pirates of the Caribbean scores are perfect to work to, but this has become my favourite video on RUclips
i liked and subscribed after the first 30 seconds once i realized i was watching someone who plays better right now than i could ever even over a million lifetimes.
This is literally my first ever comment on a RUclips video, but when I listened to/watched this, I actually felt compelled to give my sincerest and deepest appreciation to the gentleman behind the instrument. The amount of work that had to go into this and really execute on an idea like that is absolutely freakin' insane. Truly amazing sir, words cannot describe my utmost respect for your accomplishment here. I cannot even begin to fully comprehend how much time this had to take. Bravo, and of course, your performance is brilliant. Thank you
I've listened to this so many times in the past 6 months, loving all piano music particularly film scores. It's one of the best pieces of piano music I've ever listened to!!
Absolutely amazing. This is my favourite thing to listen to when working or just relaxing. Love every song you've incorporated into this melody and it sounds incredible. So much hard work and preparation, well done!!
David, your Pirates of the Caribbean medley has now become a proverbial and beloved member of our family! We have a 7 year old son and tend to theme most of our activities to music. This has quickly become one of our most often played and thoroughly enjoyed pieces. You are an amazing talent and thanks so much!
HUGE FAN! I personally play the piano (although I'm not even close to your level) and your compilations (especially La La Land because that soundtrack is the absolute best) continue to astound me. You make me want to try playing other styles of music and although your sheet music seems a bit hard for my level, I will learn eventually. :)
I don't normally listen to piano medley's, but this was absolutely stunning. You played a lot of songs that I never would have expected to hear on piano (To the Pirate Cave?!?! Angry and Dead Again?? LOVE IT!!) 42 minutes and 50 seconds of my life well spent! Incredible job!
That's the best medley of Pirates I've ever heard. It's such great, great work! I wonder how could you memorized all of that 😄 anyway, amazing work, once again.. I just love it!
Where'd ya hide that rum? Your tricorns missing............THAT WAS GREAT, really does merit some rum there.Must have taken a year to memorize that but boy was it WORTH IT!!!!!!
I love love love this medley!!! I listen to it while making homework and I get chills every time! If I could play piano I would definitely learn this medley! You are really talented and I am definitely going to listen to more of your music!
FANTASTIC!! I know perfectly each track, and I play this too with my piano. This will be my favourite Soundtrack 4ever 🙌😄 you know all the pieces by heart😵😊! Congrats from Spain 🇪🇸!!
What the... How on earth have I not seen this, or you, before? The RUclips algorithm has really failed us badly here. So glad I found this now, at least. Amazing!
It's absolutely not fair I can give you one like! I have studied to conservatory and I couldn't be able to do this in 10 years. Amazing job, it doesn't even describe what you've done here. I couldn't listen without saying every 5 minutes you are a monster (we use this term in Italy to say a person is the best at what he's doing). Such an inspiration
I can't imagine how much time this took to pull together. Impressive. Very. I feel a little ashamed that I can listen to this work for free here. But thank you!
With the amount of time you put into this, I expected worse. A few hundred hours should not be enough to complete a full transcription of the best of PotC with all the crazy chords in this. How you fit it into merely 42 minutes for it all is frankly stupefying. Consider me vastly impressed
You should know that you're an inspiration for many people including me and this has inspired me to get much better at the piano. I've only been playing for a bit less than two years and I'm improving very much thanks to you. I love pirates of the Carribean in fact I live in Puerto rico. I want to get to play as good, as fast, and as amazing as you. Love Ariana Zoé
Surprisingly... This is great study music for me. Cuz I play the piano, and I have in my mind how a song should go, so if it's melodic and I expect a different tune than what's played then it throws me off... But this bit is so crazy and unexpected it's like my mind just says "fuck it" and I tune it out, but it's still got the "focusing" effect that music can have on one trying to study for exams.
I wouldn’t say better aSongScout! Lost of words 😍

Love Ariana Zoé
I can't even be close to what it really is by describing this as amazing.

Randy Farrell Thank you very much, Randy! 😁☺️
This goes into my list of all times favourites (there are just 4 pieces there)
Surprisingly...
This has to be the best POTC tribute ever just by the sheer length of this video alone. You really didn’t leave everything out. Amazing. 🏴☠️⚓️🏝☠️
2:50 THATS SOO SMOOTH I-
I know right that's what I was thinking the key change is amazing
Greatest video on RUclips hands down
The slow part in the beginning of Underwater March is heard in all other movies and is my favorite
