Saw Anthony at a small venue at the Jersey shore. Owner was a buddy .Break in the show, mingled with the crowd, a regular happy guy. Signed and posed for everyone. Fast forwarding, at a supper club in NYC. Was invited backstage. Amazing talent, a gentleman. BTW he was changing from stage clothes to street clothes. Tremendous physique. Kind of surprised me and my girl. Saw him again later, with the Imperials in Ocean Grove Great Auditorium . Front row. “Hey, you” . Last time in San Francisco going to a football game. I was with a pretty famous guy who had been “unsuccessful” the night before. I make the proper introductions, and said “Mr. X is going out of his head, it hurts so bad, he had tears on his pillow last night.“ . Pretty good laugh all around, Anthony once again a true gracious gentleman. Yes, it’s all true. Lifetime memory

Strong O.G black brothers from Forte Greene projects in Brooklyn, the same area in which I grew up in. They're a prime example that if you work hard at what you desire especially in America. And fate is on your side you can achieve it no matter how humble your beginnings So that gives me an even more profound esteem for these "cats" because I know where they came from. I love them and this song brings back so many warm memories of my family and I sitting in front of our floor model wood encased television set. Watching the Ed Sullivan show or American Bandstand or Hullabaloo and later on Soul Train. That was the best of times and the worst of times all coalesce into one. But for me it was the best of times because we were all together, mom, dad sometimes, hahaha, hahaha. And our t.v. watching little Anthony and Imperials and all the other great stars of the day
