  • Written, Directed and Starring Robert Hossein, ''Cemetery Without Crosses'' (''Cimitero Senza Croci'') was the directors only foray in the Spaghetti Western genre, which is a shame, because this is a gem of a movie. The music score was composed by Robert's father, the great Andre Hossein and the title song is sung by none other than Scott Walker.

The opening theme song is one of the better Non-Morricone songs there is! It's catchy and this is a great movie too!

Great music, especially the solemn sad guitar theme, and it suites this high class spaghetti or rather baguette western very well.

Great soundtrack! Got the film on DVD. There R more than 12 lines of dialogue but it is most certainly a visual & musical film with words at a minimum. Highly recommended non-ilalian spaghetti!

The music is very good, but the film itself is even better. It's often the case with spaghetti westerns that the music is great and film somewhat less, but not so with this one.

You never cease to surprize Valdez, Scott Walker huh!, the music is well above average , lots of drive and variation, like the music box with the slightly weird sound, and all in all very good upload , well done Amigo.

Thanks Mike, the music box is a nod to Leone's ''For a Few Dollars More''.

Great stuff! I never understood how they roped (see what I did there?) Scott Walker into this. It was so outside his comfort zone in 1970, I'd love to know how this gig came about.

Hee Hee! Thanks Steve, I'll have to do a bit of digging to see how Mr. Walker got tangled up in this. :)

Have been looking for a dvd copy for some time. I understand there are only around 12 lines of dialogue in the whole movie, making this a very visual experience. Certainly not the worst score I have ever heard.

Very good music overall, but the slow acoustic guitar theme around 5-6 minutes is superb, very sensitive adding ambience to the likewise fine baguette-western (but shot in the spaghetti-western mekka i.e. Almeria, Spain).

According to urban legend, the dinner scene was directed by an uncredited Sergio Leone who was visiting the set for a day.

Robert Hossein verified Leone's involvement in the sequence. There is also a dedication to Sergio in the credits. :)
