Everlong is the type of song where no matter how many times you listen to it, it doesn't become overrated and always keeps its tune along with it getting better with each listen .

I cleaned out my step dads house to this song. My mom died of cancer and he just didnt really want anything to do with me anymore and made me do it myself. Over and over i played this song. And i truly dont think anything will ever feel as good as that family i had there. This song has a veey strong feeling to me. A feeling that something is over. A feeling that you want it again but you know you can never have it again. I hope you all get to experience that happiness once in your lives even if its just for a fleeting time. I love you mom.
Real. All jokes aside, you just gotta stay positive. Maybe try to talk with your dad about it. Trust me, my mom died of cancer in 2017. My dad used to always be really strict, and keep us well, but now he's too laid back on us. It's like an ego death to our parents, when you've lost your one love, to whom you've been married to for so long, it hurts, and it doesn't stop hurting. He's grieving just as much as you, but no matter the age, you're both the men of the house. You just gotta keep ya head up high, and focus on the good things in life. Death is just a natural occurrence, but it's not natural to us. All I have to say, is that he loves you. Even if it doesn't seem like it, he would give the world to protect you. Remember that. ❤

I have to play this song (on drums) for a recital at my school in one month exactly. i don’t think i’m ready and i haven’t been practicing near as much as i should have been but i have been playing more than ever. usually when my arms or hands started hurting i would stop, but this time i kept going no matter how much it hurt and realized that i really want to be able to play this song. it will be my hardest song yet. please wish me luck out there!!
I did my art GCSE exam to this song. My outcome was to be a painting, of a city at night with puddles (it had just been raining) and a man, walking alone with his umbrella up. Everything in the city was darker colours, whereas the man would be bright, with a yellow jacket and purple trousers. The sky was abstract, based off this song. I listened to this song on repeat for ten hours straight. It's beautiful. This song shows sadness, hope, loneliness, happiness, and I think I captured all of that in my painting. And despite, listening to this song for hours on end, I still love this song to bits, and will never get bored of it.
Thanks for staying on tour even though Foo Fighters started at the beginning of my life. I waited 19 years to be able to see you and you f**king delivered.
one of the most romantic songs i've ever heard, and i keep going back to it again and again, imagining a day on a balcony of a lakehouse, when I first had a kiss. an amazing feeling that this song never depletes me of. Thank you Foo Fighters~
“If anything could ever be this good again” always hits me so hard at that part bc once you lose a loved one like my sister for example, your point of view in life changes so much big time that you don’t even see life the same way you used to back then anymore. These past 5 years without my sister have been real hard. 😪💔
Through sheer enjoyment of life, a great relationship/fling, any person could have written these lyrics. They’re impactful, uplifting, and insanely depressing at the same time. Everyone tries to console people with “it gets better”, but it truly doesn’t. There are highs and lows, but nothing will ever be as good as your best memories. It doesn’t get better, you just get used to it and learn better how to face it & deal with it. Some things will get you high again, but you’ll never really feel the highs of youth again. That’s obviously very depressing from one angle but beautiful from another, bc you know that millions of young people are experiencing those moments right now, with no worry of death or decline. We will move forward, despite our triumphs & subsequent losses. We will never forget that one that got away, no matter how happy or angry we are at where they ended up. We will forever live through our past, which will be forgotten someday, and replaced with new life’s cherished present and loves. It’s beautiful, and gives at least a tiny bit of comfort & optimism, as we barrel towards our ends.
Foo Fighters would always have a special place in my heart. They have songs for every occasion that everyone should listen to at least once in their lives.
My personal favorite song... no words can describe it other than "perfect". The drummer really went off in this song 😂 Could cry the shit out of myself to this 24/7.

She and I always blasted everlong on her phone and sang it while walking until one day she became very very ill. I remember how my mom wouldn't let me see my grandma sick and didn't let me attend the funeral either. Whenever i listen to foofighters in general i always think of her. i love you ma see you in another lifetime
A few months back, I had no clue what foo fighters even was. I was more over raised on nirvana rather than foo fighters. but in those months that I had no clue who these guys were, I dreamt of Taylor. Just a few weeks after his death. In real life, I hadn’t heard of him just yet, nor who he was or what he even looked like. But in this dream, I knew exactly who he was, down to his name and drumming. He told me to pursue my drumming career, because really, we only live once. Hearing it from him made it that much more real. I woke up that morning and realized that this was the answer. Now this song is one of my favorites, and considering I went through a very recent loss that tore me apart, all the songs from the white album, as well as the song ‘I should’ve known’ , hit just that much harder.
Before anyone asks, yes, I'm one of the people in the Lethal Company fandom who came here from that game. I've seen a lot of thousand quota stare videos, and hearing this song just gave me chills every single time. Being able to find the real song however, it just sends even more chills down my body. Good music, Foo Fighters. Edit: I didn't realize how I worded my comment and almost accidentally got into an argument with someone lmao. If they see this I already know I was in the wrong
I saw these guys live in Sydney recently. Hearing this song live after all the memes was something else. It was the last one on their set list as well so it was worth it.
this song means so much to me. this used to be me and my girlfriends song. i requested for it to play at the school dance and i just started balling my eyes out saying how much i loved her. she broke up with me after the dance that night. now i cant help but cry when i hear this. so thank you for this beautiful song and what it created. i miss her so much and she isnt coming back. nothing will ever feel that real forever, and nothing will ever feel that good again.
Last year I had a deadly back infection and basically had to relearn how to walk again. I’ve struggled so hard mentally and a lot of friends turned on me. It got so bad that I even had to switch schools. I considered ending my own life so many times, but I could never go through with it. I’m really trying to make new friends at my school, and even joined the football team. I’ve listened to this song before almost every game, reminding myself how far I’ve come. The future is always bright. If anyone needs to hear this, there’s always going to be somewhere there for you.
Everlong, Learn To fly and Wheels, got me through some serious times... im forever grateful for these songs and the personal inspiration they gave me when i needed it most.
I was at a bar tonight, watching a local band, they called me up to play with them because I play guitar, I did the song, and when we finished they let me play something solo, and I played everlong by myself. I messed up a ton but as my first performance it was just the right song for the right moment and everyone said I nailed it. Thanks Dave you’re the best lol
Listened to this song on my last day of middle school and what an experience. It made me remember everything me and my friends had been through and what was to come. Thanks Foo Fighters 🫡
De las mejores canciones de todos los tiempos. Da cosa que muchos todavía se quedaron en el rollo de Nirvana y nunca se han tomado el tiempo de escuchar a uno de los genios musicales más grandes que tenemos, Dave Grohl.
This song makes me think of my sophomore year of high school. I found the father figure I had been denied for so many years, met the greatest guy I hope to date one day, found one of the best friends I've ever had, my youngest sister was born, I got into a trade school for teenagers, most nights were spent at my older sister's house, and life as a whole didn't seem so bad. It felt like there was something out there legitimately worth fighting for... Best fucking year of my life.
I put this song (and the Foo Fighters) up there with the likes of Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, The Who, The Beatles, UFO, Stones and all of them. Foo Fighters are among the last of the greats imo. R.I.P Taylor. I saw them once in my home town and it’s a memory I will never forget 🩵
This song (along with most of The Colour And The Shape) remind me of my late grandfather. This song and "My Hero" have very special places in my heart.
This song's atmosphere makes me physically shake It gives me butterflies in my stomach It makes me think of her... Finding love is one of the best and worst things that can happen to you Even years afterward I still cry to this song But I must say this is one of the best rock songs or songs in general ever made
I've been a fan of foo fighters for 10-11 years, since I was a toddler and at the age of 14, I'm still listening to this legendary band. Rip Taylor Hawkins
I listened to this years ago when it came out and could never associate to it no matter how much I loved it, fast forward nearly twenty years and this is what’s playing for me and my fiancé
What sent me down this rabbit hole? I love hip hop and such but I’ve been looking at songs like this all day and feel more attached to them than my typical music.
Yep same here, I used to only listen to old school hip hop and stuff like that but one day my brother played a Metallica song and since then I've found more and more and these are my main songs now 😂 I mean I'm not complaining
I’m hating myself on how I found this song from Lethal Company. Thinking now, this would be a GREAT song pick to PLAY Lethal Company. Just dashing through halls, turning quick corners, and jumping gaps. All that in a fast manner with THIS song blasting. It wouldn’t make you think twice. It would make you ACT.
this song is something special, i know many people already said this before, but it feels nostalgic in more ways than one, this song brings out a lot of feelings that you don't usually feel
A year ago, when me and my ex first got together, this was the first song we listened to together. It was our love song, but we broke up a few months ago, but i still listen to it every day cuz i feel comforted once i listen to it.
I love this acoustic AND Rock version of this song: was "our song" when I had a cross country love, back before the internet, and we'd play this song. .. .we'd sing, 🎶 "If everything could ever be this real forever, if anything could ever be this good again. Only thing I ever ask of you, gotta promise not to stop when I say when" 🎵 ❤️ HEARTS ever aching. . The ultimate 💞

So I can breathe you in

I know you've always been
Out of your head
Out of my head, I sang
And I wonder
When I sing along with you
If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again

One of the greatest songs ever written!!
What an amazing and special song. It's just brilliant.
This is always a vibe and a timeless classic foo fighters are legends always 😊
Foo Fighters please come back already :') your awesomeness is missed by many

Under you is a recent song I believe.

***** XD hahahahahaha lol
I was at a bar tonight, watching a local band, they called me up to play with them because I play guitar, I did the song, and when we finished they let me play something solo, and I played everlong by myself. I messed up a ton but as my first performance it was just the right song for the right moment and everyone said I nailed it. Thanks Dave you’re the best lol
This song is driving at 100 something miles an hour in an open land, racing the light of the sun as it rises
Bro underrated comment Ong and Fr u just imagine it in ur mind
Free-play in the MX vs ATV games kinda vibe
i imagine like a pitch black midnight with out the headlights on drive type thing but yes that image fs comes to mind
Just did that 😂Fun driving honestly
i wanna do this
Listened to this song on my last day of middle school and what an experience.
I'm here to listen to this song once more since I just learned about Louise Post's harmonies in the recording. What a banger.
I used to listen to this on holiday of 2013 :) Good memories...
🙏🙏
Same here. Only Foo Fighters show I've ever managed to get to, and it was the last one they played here with Taylor. It was an amazing night and show
I feel so lonely these times and this song makes the pain a little more bearable. Huge thanks
My personal favorite song... no words can describe it other than "perfect".
rixille
Yes. Yes I am. How is that relevant, exactly?

Just reminding you of this great song so you can hear it!
This song (along with most of The Colour And The Shape) remind me of my late grandfather. This song and "My Hero" have very special places in my heart.
This song's atmosphere makes me physically shake
It gives me butterflies in my stomach
It makes me think of her...
Finding love is one of the best and worst things that can happen to you
Even years afterward I still cry to this song
But I must say this is one of the best rock songs or songs in general ever made
this is genuinely the best song, you can use it for literally anything
I've been a fan of foo fighters for 10-11 years, since I was a toddler and at the age of 14, I'm still listening to this legendary band. Rip Taylor Hawkins
I listened to this years ago when it came out and could never associate to it no matter how much I loved it, fast forward nearly twenty years and this is what’s playing for me and my fiancé
What sent me down this rabbit hole? I love hip hop and such but I’ve been looking at songs like this all day and feel more attached to them than my typical music.
You discover good Music today
@@lucamorelliappendino I mean, they already have good music as their profile picture
Yep same here, I used to only listen to old school hip hop and stuff like that but one day my brother played a Metallica song and since then I've found more and more and these are my main songs now 😂 I mean I'm not complaining
This song really brings me back. Like to listen to it when i wanna go back to when i was younger
Brings back some nostalgia :)
I have loved this song for over 20 yrs. And I still love it.
Lettermans final montage always goes through my head now when I hear this song
This is one of the classics. Its timeless, its everlong.
Even to the last little bit of this song is perfect.
Every single time I hear this song I think to my self “could anything ever be this good again?”
Wipers melancholic vibes.
Taylor Hawkins brutal drum attack is crazy beautiful !
Alive ‘n kickin up above and still very close.
Wow, this song brings back so much memories.. I wish they'll visit Latvia some day, but that sounds unreal.
this song is something special, i know many people already said this before, but it feels nostalgic in more ways than one, this song brings out a lot of feelings that you don't usually feel
this song is the reason i wake up every morning
you´re right, what a GREAT song!
Is it your alarm clock?
used to listen to this after driving home from night shift at 19. still love it
Rest In Peace one the drummers one of the best drummers
this song makes me so happy

Saw them at the Milton Keynes bowl last Sunday and I'm still waiting here, hoping they'll come back for an encore!!
We love foo fighters
the way this song builds up is so beautiful man lol
wow, this is really good quality!
I believe that this is one of the most influential songs of the 21st century. There's truly something different about the way it's made that almost anyone can relate to in some way.
