Would have been nice to have seen the barnacles in a bit more detail. From the distant shot they do look to be well established and numerous!! That must have been soul destroying with a sluggish boat for so many miles. Great to see Guy is still so positive.
Good interview, thanks. Just a tip keep the microphone higher up and facing your interviewee. This will help minimise the background sound. I'm curious to hear of his bottom-paint choice and how many coats. Reminds me of Tapio in the previous GGR.
Great to see you in such good spirits and so philosophical about things and how they turned out. As you say a roller coaster of emotions but you seem to be looking forward rather than dwelling on what you could have done earlier in the race. I wish you well in the next few days as you get the boat ready to tackle the Southern ocean. Fair winds Guy. Andy UK

What a truly lovely man. Best wishes for the Southern Ocean.
Wonderfull spirit!!! Not complaining, stating facts and taking full responsibillity. ❤❤
Great interview with Guy. I am so pleased he will continue on.
Such a pleasant man. Will be following him all the way.

Best wishes from Canada. Your great efforts are truly inspirational .
What a great man. From a fellow British/manx man 🇮🇲
Best wishes Guy. Great attitude and hanging in there! Will soon join the Cape Horner’s club!
Great interview. Thanks. I am so impressed to hear that he is continuing. This race is teaching me so much about life ❤
Great interview!
Enjoyed this interview ! Great perspective on how difficult the GGR is. Those are very healthy-looking barnacles in the background ;-)
I can not believe they did not think of giving us just one closeup of the barnacles..
other than that, what a great guy, just pushing on forward!
don't be afraid to get that mic right up in the speaker's face! Thanks for the interview.
There goes my theory that you’d have to be mad to do the GGR….. lovely man saner than myself👍

Best of luck Guy 🎉 great to hear you are continuing… 🤙
Bad luck! All the best for the rest of the voyage. Great interview too!
A real sailor with a "can do" approach ..
The interviewer said he'd show Guys boat ! Show us please !
GGR 2022 on Facebook has more pictures and short videos which really show how bad the barnacles are. Hope that helps.
Interesting interview, but what I should like to know : which brand of anti-fouling did he use ?
Show us the barnacals! The main reason was the barnacles!
All the best Guy
Check the pictures on ggr for barnacles .
The interviewer doesn’t really have the concept of storytelling, the story is about the barnacles and anti fouling and why this boat and not others.
removing massive barnacles like this means probably damaging the gelcoat..
Be interesting to know the reason for the failed antifoul ???
I don't see any barnacles....
