Here is how the Windows File Explorer icon (formerly known as Windows Explorer) has evolved from Windows 95 up to Windows 11, another addition to my Windows Icon Evolution series.

In Windows 10 Build 10130’s version of the File Explorer icon, it tries to recreate Windows Vista/7’s style, which is cool imo
they should keep it

without explorer windows couldn't be what it looks like now, if you stop explorer from task manager you can see that the desktop taskbar and everything else (except programs) dissappear

When I first upgraded from windows 8.1 to 10 I still had the Windows’s 8.1 explorer icon but then it fixed itself after a couple of months
