A Hummer (H1) to the face will hurt, but if you are able to get under the middle of the car, due to the mighty ground clearance you might actually survive. A Mini Cooper on the other hand is way lower and will probably crush you if it can't stop.
I'd love to see you try to escape the army with a Toyota Prado/Landcruiser or a Nissan Patrol.

I've seen the entire Mini chase yes, I've also seen the car in Forza (Mini Cooper S, its FWD) I've also seen diagrams of the mechanical structure of the car, which says they are FWD.
There is a scene in the movie where one of the guys says he's having problems with his differential. You see the back of his Mini jacked up with somebody working on it. I guess the joke was a bit too obscure. :(
