For people who have OCD like myself, you’ll agree that these are hygiene habits you practice on a daily basis. For instance my phone! I literally wash it carefully with soap and water and sanitize sometimes. Yes I’m that extreme. I hate touching public door handles so much that i resorted to using tissues to open public doors, dispose them off immediately and wash my hands thoroughly. Also, whenever I return home, I make sure not to lie/sit on my bed with the clothes I had on all day!
U're just clean, no OCD pls. I do same plus extra sef but I do not have OCD... that disorder is extreme & doesn't start & end with hygiene or cleanliness

Hello Dimma! Thanks for this important video. On the second point, ‘down there’ is quite vague. The vagina, which is a passage that connects the uterus to the exterior is self-cleaning, and so even water shouldn’t go in there however, your vulva which comprises of the external genitalia plus the perineum (I.e mons pubis, labia majora and Minora, clitoris etc) are not and so they have to be cleaned. The pH of the vulva is lower than the rest of the body (close to the pH of the skin of the face) and this helps to maintain the normal flora of that area. Using only water in this our climate may not cut it or even using soaps made for the skin of the body as the pH is not same. I recommend using a gentle feminine wash with a low pH (made specifically for the vulva) to clean that area and how often this will be done will be determined by how often you sweat in your vulva or how active you are. If you have not been active throughout the day, only water can do. Another hack is to use a gentle non exfoliating face wash as it has similar pH to the vulva area. Long story short, the vagina shouldn’t be cleaned but the vulva should be cleaned.
@dimma I fully agree with all these Hygiene tips and please it’s not too much for them especially the ladies(if they love their personal well-being/hygiene they will try to make all these tips their daily living activities). Here in the U.k I do all these and my neighbours keep asking me “Don’t you get tired” like I can’t sleep well if I don’t do all these Personal hygienes laundries every week…having strictly white bedsheets & towels…bathing, cleaning your house every week, Skincare routine, closing toilets lids and washing them before using every day, cleaning my door knobs with antiseptic sprays and making sure to open entrance doors with tissue or my elbows, changing toothbrush/bathing sponge every two months etc I can go on cos I always have these thoughts as a health professional that everything harbours micro organisms. My cleanliness is not extreme yet out of these world, ladies step up your hygiene 🫶🏾🫶🏾
B/c your neighbour like a lot of Brits are too lazy to do thorough cleanliness. As you are probably aware some people only shower or bath once a week, they tell you that having a 'wash' is enough. I remember someone telling me I am not meant to shower everyday unless I am dirty!! In summer, I shower thrice a day.
Are you me? Am I you? Is you I ?!!! This is totally me, but I change my toothbrushes every month (I have a separate medium one for teeth and a harder one for my tongue). 😅😅

@@OmobolaOkeowo95 You said "...... just water she meant it for the vagina not vulva....." aaaah NO, the vagina does not need water or anything else, it is self cleansing

Doctors here in Italy always advise to use water to wash down there to avoid infection ... water works truly ... Bedsheets, pillow cases, towel very important thank You Dim
While these tips are helpful, let's be careful not to get paranoid about potential bacteria being everywhere. If you always think like that, you'll never do anything. I think all these things are important within reason, but don't go broke tryina clean everything every second of the day.
Hi Dimma, nice content, all spot on❤thank you dear. One thing I can add is to hide your toothbrush and towels, in case you have someone else cleaning your house/bathroom for you. I say this because your concept/understanding of hygiene may not be known/ understood properly by the person helping you in your home. Lets say, for example, they can drop your toothbrush or towel by mistake and put them back in place without informing you(disgusting 🤢 ). In my case, I hide all towels and toothbrushes in the locked cabinets or wardrobe. Blessings to you. Thank you.
I change my silk pillowcase every week as I have acne prone skin, I don't even us towels anymore as I just rub my lotion on my damp skin. This has really been a game changer for me
Dimma is right ladies, only water is enough to clean the vagina, but for people who are a bit confused, the 'vagina' is referring to the hole inside, cleaning the vulva 'outside' with mild soap is fine, to make it even easier-everywhere that hair grows out of down there is okay to be cleaned with mild soap, but leave the vagina inside alone
As a hygiene freak I have to say I have taken on extra tips from you. Thank you so much for such a very informative video. You are so right about the shaving the under arm, I live in a cold country but I still shave even more in the summer. Flushing the loo lid is closed, now that I didn't know that. I will definitely do this from now on.
Too much hygiene is also bad as well do you know? A doctor told me this and he explained why which made so much sense, don't get me wrong being hygienically inclined is a good thing but when the body gets accustomed to it, that's where the real trouble is because every little bit of dirt will get you sick,I mean seriously sick ,also the hand dryer kills some bacteria the ones that don't survive heat so it's not totally useless,my advice is to always use a hand sanitizer after using the toilet, whether you wipe your hands or use the dryer,so for me hand sanitizer started being with me even before COVID.,I also have been covering the toilet to flush since I saw a show called the doctors on DStv, thumbs up you covered alot .
There is this saying that too much of everything isnt good. I agree with the rest but is that cleaning of the phone i was like haba na, that's too much , i dont have such strength for that so whenever I go out and come back I should always clean my phone ,can we real and practical.

I do not use towels more than 1 time period. I would never use a wash cloth on my face the next day. Same with bath towels. Sheets at minimum 1 time a week. If there is a lot of sweat then maybe 1 time every 5 days. I have 8 sets of sheets I use regularly. I also have extra special sheets and different thread counts as well. Get them on sale.
Fully agree with disinfecting your phone, after washing my hands when I get back home, I wipe my phone down with disinfectant wipes cause the germs outside ewwww
She ain’t never lie about that hair odor. I personally had everything lazered off, although it returned in about 3 years. It’s very light now and manageable.
I also have been doing laser…. Started small with a few hair that grew on my chin an neck after 35… I have now added underarms and Brazilian… one of the best decisions I have made. I would definitely recommend going to a dermatologist. I’m brown and they do not use the same light they use on white people on me. And I have witnessed on friend get burned from them using the wrong light and another had no results at all. I got great results on my face and underarm. I shave maybe once a month now… I’m on my 4 treatment for my pubic hair (that area gets 6 treatments and will take 2 rounds) but it is worth it. They did warn me that I may want to get my underarms done again in a few years but it’s is cheaper because you will have less hair. Also my dermatologist offers a half of special every fall so it’s possible to get it affordable also. I am willing to answer any questions, I have been trying to share this awesome experience every since I started.

I just learnt something today and here I'm getting angry at my 5years old for closing the toilet lid whenever she fetches and when she is done. It's obvious I owe my baby girl an apology, guess she must have seen it from one of those family channels on RUclips kids
This is interesting,i actually use the fenty fat water toner before deodorant, cos i didn't know there's was an underarms toner...kindly share the brand...
Hmmm I agree with everything except the bathing sponge. I use the body organic exfoliating sponge which cost me 6k as at the time I got it. Where I wan get 6k buy sponge every month. God abeg.
Easiest and quickest way to clean and disinfect your makeup brushes in between washing with soap and water: eye makeup remover and rubbing alcohol. You can even use eye makeup remover before washing them to make it easier and rubbing alcohol after washing them to disinfect them thoroughly 💯

Famfresh feminine wash is mild
Thanks ..I gained new info today..
To add onto tip 1, you want to use your antiperspirant at night and Deoderant in the morning/during the day.
Do you mean the other way around? I believe it's during the day you want to block sweat, while you just need deodorant at night.
You shared some good tips.
Also cover your toothbrushes with the brush cover thing.
It is actually best to let your toothbrushes air dry. Covering a wet brush is a breeding ground for bacteria.
After it dries.
Don't cover it when it's wet
It's not advisable to actually cover.
When it dries though, tht's more advisable..
And please always wash the cover too😮
Thank you so so much ma for this video
Thanks for the tips.

I just learnt something today and here I'm getting angry at my 5years old for closing the toilet lid whenever she fetches and when she is done. It's obvious I owe my baby girl an apology, guess she must have seen it from one of those family channels on RUclips kids
I wished I could give a double like on this video, weldone Dimma 👏
Love this video already and I just started watching this video, keep umm coming
Dimmaaa please make a video of the aluminum free deodorants 😭please❤
Thank you so much Dimma for sharing. I learnt alot
I change our towels every two days 😅
I shave my underarms and also use what’s called underarm watermelon toner before I apply the deodorant. It’s a game changer
Which brand please?
This is interesting,i actually use the fenty fat water toner before deodorant, cos i didn't know there's was an underarms toner...kindly share the brand...
thanks so much for this

Wow! Never been this early, can't wait to watch. ❤
Hmmm
I agree with everything except the bathing sponge.
The hand dryer thing and flushing an open lid are the major shocks to me. Thanks Dinma
Very knowledgeable you are . I agree 100% with all you said. Blessings
I always tell my hubby to cover the toilet while flushing. I watched dt on tv too.
Once a week cleaning up of towels and bedspreads is it for me
I’ll never flush an open toilet again
Your phone too, it Carrie a lot of germ!!
After my night shower I use my hand sanitizer and wipes and clean my phone every single day.
Thank you so much, really enjoyed it.❤❤❤
