It's happened with tree shredders, friend of my brothers who worked in tree business got his armed caught in auto feed shredder and got chewed off all the way to the shoulder bit by bit. Heard of someone else going all the through and shredded, no one new where he was until they looked into the back of the truck. Both of these guys were by themselves. I'm sure it will happen again.

There's plenty of components to recycle - plastic, steel, aluminum and copper, vibromotors (in the cellphones), capacitors and a lot of the smaller electric components, screens... Wtf? Not too close to actually making it economically viable though, unless there's some breakthrough that won't happen because its not being done enough. Meanwhile the actually ELECTRIC components i mention ARE often recyclable and it does have a pretty decent margin to it too.
