- Third Ward is an area of Houston, Texas, United States, that evolved from one of the six historic wards of the same name. It is located in the southeast Houston management district. Third Ward, located inside the 610 Loop is immediately southeast of Downtown Houston and to the east of the Texas Medical Center.

Third Ward when I was living there in the 70's and 80's, shotgun houses across I 45 going all away back passed polk and dowling to polk to scott. East of Downtown still in parts of Third Ward and it located east of downtown, a lot of Midtown situated in Third Ward, also, Museum District also situated in the Third Ward. You should have seen Third Ward in the 80's before gentrification. Majority of Third Ward shot gun houses, old wooded houses . Juke joint everywhere, cafe' black businesses on Dowling, Adult dancing clubs on McGowen, and Almeda. Block party all the times, Hustling at the EP Emancipation Park, Cuney Homes Third Ward soldiers ran that spot for real, every hood had a basketball team played at the Emancipation Park on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Before gentrification Third Ward from Cuney Homes back to the others side of 45 passed Polk street straight ghetto. Leroy Moses Park we call it Douglass Park , that area ghetto, the bottoms, Lucky Seven, Nettleton Park, straight ghetto. Now on the other side look a little better but still stand watching Blodgett Street to MacGregor , Third Ward Washington Terrace, Third Ward Riverside Terrace, streets look Southmore and Dowling between Live Oak be lite. Almeda street on Southwest part of Third Ward , was busy look today business and people everywhere. Notable people from Third Ward before Beyonce and Solange, Johnny Guitar Watson, Johnny Nash, Horace Tapscott, Dr. Gloria Dean Randle Scott, Dr. John Coleman, Judge Andrew Leon Jefferson, Debbie Allen, Phylicia Rashad, Andrew Tex Allen Jr., Jolanda Jones, D' Angela Proctor, Dexter Manley, Judge Zinette Burney, Judge Sharon Burney, Johnny Bailey, Deandre Jordan, Garnet Coleman, Kieth Jukebox Rogers of the original Ghetto Boys. Big Moe, Cal Wayne, OMB Bloodbath, Melanie Lawson, Jewel Brown, Ronald Green and many many more

Third Ward is a original neighborhood known for the favorite old style shot gun houses. Most neighborhood besides the 3,4,5, Sunnyside, Acres Homes, Independence Heights, are neighborhoods that came about in the 50's, 60's, 70's and 80's. can't be compared to the original our history to long. It's not the same. Love you

I know this video is about 1yr ago, but how is the average gas and rent prices in Houston nowadays Sep/2023?
Gas ⛽️ is about $3.30 to $3.40 but at H-E-B or Kroger you can find it a little cheaper. A two bedroom will run you at around $1700 right about now. You can probably find cheaper but one thing I’ve learned is you get what you pay for in the Houston area.

When you went down Homestead by East Mount Houston that's Northwood Manor over there by the big city grocery store when you went up Little York to the red light where the nice houses was across the street from the two stores that was side-to-side that's also Northwood Manor

OMG how you do a video about their war and don't show the house that Beyonce grew up in she always represent Third Ward over their off McGregor. I guess you only want to show the s***** sides of the hoods you don't want to show the nice places like where the nice houses are where people who are you not taking care of their houses and stuff like that you know you didn't want to show Greenspoint drive just the show that you know it's a business type place you know you just want to show bad stuff.
The hood is the focus of my channel 🤷🏽♂️, if you want to see mansions and big houses I’m quite sure there are channels out there for that.
