Former US President and Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump said he believes Israel must strike Iran's nuclear facilities in response to Tehran's recent missile barrage. The former president, while speaking at a campaign event in North Carolina state, referred to a question posed to the serving US President Joe Biden about the possibility of Israel targeting Iran's nuclear program. On October 2, Biden refused to back an Israeli attack on Iran's nuclear facilities. During Donald Trump's presidency, the US in 2018 backed out of a nuclear agreement that placed significant restrictions on Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for sanctions relief. Iran has since been reported to have resumed its nuclear activities.

Look at history right from the Iranian revolution. Any US leader who tries anything bad against Iran either would have short term or bring problems home.
After US sanctioned the Islamic revolutionists for ousting the Shah, the US tried to rescue the hostages but failed, leading to Carter losing the elections.
When US wanted to attack Iran during the 2003 US invasion of Iraq, the US economy went on a recession hurting a lot of people and made Bush unpopular.
Trump's tenure in office had decisions going against Iran. He sanctioned them and also killed Solemani. Unfortunately for Trump, George Floyd's protest came up, something people wanted to stand on to make him unpopular. This ruined his tenure, thus losing the elections.
Now look at this. The Republican government under Regan found ways to supply the Iranians weapons during the Iran-Iraq War in what became the Iran-Contra scandal which became a controversy. In the end the Republican Government had a third term under George Bush.
When Saddam Hussein attacked Iran, the Carter government was in support of it. The US even had skirmishes with Iran during the Iran-Iraq war in the late 80s. Then things changed that the US had to fight Iran's enemy Iraq in 1991.
In 1998, the Taliban killed Iranian diplomats in Afghanistan. Iran wanted to go for war with them the UN held them back. Few years afterward, the terrorist attack on the US happened and the US attacked Afghanistan and subsequently Iraq.
The world is a strange place when the forces of good and bad work invisibly.
