Thank you so much for re uploading these. These are great recordings of Sturgill’s current 4 piece band with him on lead guitar, hopefully they don’t get taken down again.
Jack Young guy I know has them on vinyl. Also, this is prob my favorite song from the set. The distortion squeals he gets at a couple points are amazing.
In the beginning You really loved me, oh I was too blind I could not see, now But now that you left me Ooh, how I cried out, I keep crying You don't miss your water 'Till your well runs dry I kept you crying Sad and blue, oh my, oh I was a playboy I just wouldn't be true But now that you left me Good lord, how I cried, I keep crying, I keep crying Ooh, I didn't miss my water No I never missed my water 'Till my well were run dry I sit here and wonder How in the world this could be, my, oh my I never thought, oh, I never thought You'd ever leave me But now that you left me Good lord, good lord, how I cried You don't miss your water, you don't miss your water 'Till your well runs dry Ooh, you don't miss your water, oh, you don't miss your water 'Till your well runs dry I miss my water I keep missing my water I keep missing my water And I want my water I need my water I love my water And I want my water And I'm little thirsty, now And I'm little thirsty, now I want my water I keep wanting my water

Fuck I love organ when it's played right
Check out Bob Seger's cover of " If I Were A Carpenter " from his Smoking' OP's album. Skip Knape on the B3.
This is as close to the version I fell in love with as I can find ( no on RUclips anymore) but I still miss MY VERSION. lol
In the beginning
You really loved me, oh
I was too blind
I could not see, now
But now that you left me
Ooh, how I cried out, I keep crying
You don't miss your water
'Till your well runs dry
I kept you crying
Sad and blue, oh my, oh
I was a playboy
I just wouldn't be true
But now that you left me
Good lord, how I cried, I keep crying, I keep crying
Ooh, I didn't miss my water
No I never missed my water
'Till my well were run dry
I sit here and wonder
How in the world this could be, my, oh my
I never thought, oh, I never thought
You'd ever leave me
But now that you left me
Good lord, good lord, how I cried
You don't miss your water, you don't miss your water
'Till your well runs dry
Ooh, you don't miss your water, oh, you don't miss your water
'Till your well runs dry
I miss my water
I keep missing my water
I keep missing my water
And I want my water
I need my water
I love my water
And I want my water
And I'm little thirsty, now
And I'm little thirsty, now
I want my water
I keep wanting my water
Thank you for sharing these. ❣️
Thankyou!!
WOW!!!!!!!
Gotta see this live.....add to list✓
Otis Redding was just 26 when he died but will live Forever.
He needs 2 put this out so we can get it on iTunes. This exact version
He is phenomenal damn to see him live
Love the Hammond B-3 Organ on this
Damn this man is frickin awesome ..smooch
(No emojis)
This was such a sick band
Nice! Thanks for sharing these!👊🏼🎶
🇺🇸🎤🎼Genuinely interesting music. Thanks
Church
I’m pretty sure an organ was harmed during the making of the video
Who the fuck is Sturgill Simpson?
Shawn G thank you, he is the truth.
sprite cranberry
:D
Wow, TBCs really ripped off this song. All they did was change the words to Bad Luck Blue Eyes.
Lowell Devall I’ll have to give it a listen. Only so many chord progressions tho ya know? Someone said “good artists borrow, great artists steal”.
Sister Luck is pretty much Sway from the Stones. I love the Black Crowes though.
Who?
Hammond player needs to get off his leslie speed pedal and cruise more
Sometimes...in my opinion....a fn organ is completely unfuckinnecessary
I really dig this but Gram Parsons sang it best IMO
But Taj sang it better than both!
No one sings it better than Otis Redding.
@@matthewoboyle6010 fair enough
Guess y’all haven’t heard Marty Stuart sing it ;)
Been a Sturgill fan for 10 years, got all his albums, seen him live 3 times. That said, the organ has GOT TO GO.
I love the organ it brings it all together
It's a tad bit loud but still
