I’ve got a local building supply place that will sell a half yard of reddimix in a trailer. Two trips and I’ve got a yard. I can’t imagine mixing that much by hand, and even a small mixer is problematic for a big job. My neighbor did a patio with a mixer pouring into those small mold forms, and he said never again even with two teenage sons helping. You did a fabulous job doing it all by yourself!
You did a fantastic Job, Capt Darren. Just let one End be 37 and the other End 39 as long as the Tower Segments are centered. That's ok...it allows the Rain Water to run off. You are the Man...good Job. 💯👌
Hey congratulations Capt! Looks great and you’re spending your money on the best part of the station. I did mine just like you did. The only thing I would have done differently is Jab some rebar into the side walls. I bet your neighbors are going to love you! 😂
hola tremendo trabajo te felicito agradecido por hacer estos video muy bien editados son de gran ayuda en mi proyecto también estoy levantando mi torre.. saludos y muchas bendiciones!… great job 👏
@@DarrenN4VFR please made the video i like this.. and i want to see your antena to. made a video whit the hazel functions. never quite i like your channel God bless you my man!..
I am curious to see how you are going to raise and lower the tower. I have a 40 ft. The foundation is poured, and a welder is building a hinge plate that will tilt. I want to be able to lower and raise the tower with a winch. W4RGG
@@rongann1955 I'm planning on using a AC powered winch probably the one from Harbor Freight. Once I have it raised, I'll also use the winch to raise the Hazer up/down.
@@davethepickupartist7161 Dave, not that I know of. I had to get a permit from Atlantic Beach. The inspector also had to come out and inspect my work. I passed. I still haven't put up my last section and my SteppIR yet. I've been to busy with work and family.
Very nice. The process of a one person project works fine. I cant wait until the antenna has been mounted and the cart to raise the antenna. Thanks.
Awesome job there Darren. Looking good!!
Nice work Cap!!! Congrats on the new tower!!!
awesome setup, im sure your neighbors love it 😋
You missed your calling Darren.... Hahahahaha. Old School will save this world!
Good job. I did mine this last spring. The only thing I did different was to fab a base for the hinges instead of sacrificing 4 feet of tower height.
Good tower project, Capt.. nice hope to hear You from Duvaaaaaaaal 😊 73 🎙Ira

All for the love of amateur radio Captain Darren, enjoy.
Is the job complete? You did one heck of great job for one man!
Thanks. I still need to put up another section and attach the rotator and antennas.

Great job as always! How big is the plinth in size?
4' square x 3' deep.
Looks very good. How many cubic yards of concrete is that? Starting my rohn 25 tower install now. But I'll be bracketed to house
It's 1 cubic yard. 3 x 3 x 3
I think mine was 32 bags. I did have a mixer. Looks great. k4rna
Captain, I have not reviewed any notifications from the tower project. Wonder what’s up with YT?
No progress video has been uploaded. Just been busy with flight school for 2 months. Standby, I'll be making progress. 73 Darren N4VFR
I did this a year ago today, 30 bags took me about 4 hours to do. I was dead tired after. I feel for you! K1CXS
Great job Darren. Keep up the good work. Love the videos. Bill- K1WIL
Great job... Captain Darren De N2dbi Bx nyc
Great work. Any idea how much they would charge to install that, K4GOP
I don't remember, but it was gonna be probably over $2000 USD.
@DarrenN4VFR I live in Mandarin and lost my antenna in the first storm. Are there folks in Jacksonville that install these?
