This was really helpful (as are all of your London videos that I've watched!) I'm starting my masters at Greenwich in the fall, and you're one of the only people I've found who have documented postgrad studies at UoG really well, so thank you so much! I know in a few of the videos you mentioned that you had a job at the university--if you don't mind, could you share a bit about how you went about getting that job and if you like it? Thank you!
Thank you, glad you found it helpful and congrats on starting in the fall! I was a student ambassador and they hire loads of them, so it’s not too difficult to get. A few months after the start of the term, you’ll probably get an email about recruitment (if you don’t you can email the student ambassador office and they can get in touch). It’s kind of difficult to get a lot of shifts, but if you want to work every once in a while when you’re available, it’s great. There are different jobs like campus runners, who basically just do whatever needs done one campus, campus tour guides, set up for events, etc. Hope that helps!
ima join at the university of greenwich from this September, tbh you contents give me an extra vibe of London and the university as well, so exited to join my university and also hope to meet with you soon, biggest fan ma’am
Thanks for clearing my confusion. Starting my post-graduate studies in September 2023. Although I still have some doubts like I am really confused between other accommodation halls offered by university such as daniel dofoe, cutty sark and mcmillan. Have you seen the other halls as well? How good is Devonport as compared to three of them??? I am really looking forward to your answer. Also if you have any room left in your private flat do let me know. I am interested to go for private as well. Thank you :))
This video has been super helpful! I am starting my masters in September and will be living at Devonport house. Do you have any other tips/tricks about living there? I will have to check out some of your other videos but please let me know if you think a particular video will be more helpful and informative.
Glad you found it helpful and congrats on starting your master’s program soon! The only tip I can think of right now is to bring bedding and toilet paper for your first night, if at all possible. Those things aren’t provided so I had to go shopping immediately on arrival. I think my “I Moved to London” video has that documented a bit. Hope that helps!
Hi! this was such a helpful video thank you so much:) I was wondering if you visited anyone who lived in a mezzanine bedroom? Im worried i might be allocated in one and that there wont be any windows, have you visited any rooms like that?
This video is so helpful! What is the average age in Devonport house. I am starting my postgraduate at 21, so I am hoping everyone is around my age. Otherwise do you think it would be better to stay at another accommodation from Greenwich? Thanks! ❤
I’d say most people are early to mid-twenties, but there are a few people who are a bit older. Personally, I preferred Devonport to the other accommodations I saw.
I know im a little late, but i am thinking of applying to Greenwich, to study psychology. But i've heard that Greenwich has a low ranking in the psychology course. do you know anything about the psychology course that you could tell me?
Does the Devonport house have any specific time restrictions? As to by when we can come in latest? For example if i get a part time job can i go and come as and when required?
hey, i too will start my masters journey in 2024 jan.... so are the rooms available there? could i please get your instagram or facebook account to text and ask you certain things about uni
@@supreetha1675Hello! I’m thinking about attending Greenwich and staying at Devonport. How do you find the accommodations if you stayed there? And did it fill up quickly?
@@emily_meadows okay, thank you. Do you have any idea about flat4 or DEV-04B, AS I have pre booked but not sure whether it's with stairs or double sharing, or en suite. Can you please comment if you have any idea about Dev-04B ?

Hey. I've been offered a place for MSc. I'm from Malawi and Chevening / commonwealth scholarships are closed. Any advice on scholarships?

I haven’t, but I know Paige Mariah has a tour up of her mezzanine room. That may be helpful!

I'm studying sociology but heard the same thing with the low rankings. Did you decide to go with greenwich? And if you did, do you like it?

No, there is no curfew, you can come and go as you please.
I am also going for my PG in September and have booked McMillan village, was it a right choice? I couldn’t find empty rooms in deveport.

Super helpful video!!
What size is the bed? A twin or twin XL?
I’m not 100% sure, but I think it was a regular twin. I know it was 90x190 cm, hope that helps!
Is standard plus en-suite and standard en-suite same?
Standard plus is just a little bit larger, but other than they they’re the same.
@@emily_meadows ohh okay thanks 😃
Hello Emily, do you know anyone who is currently staying at devonport ?
Sorry, I don’t. Everyone I know that lived there has graduated now.

@@sachindongare2038 I don’t know about that room specifically, but I believe all rooms in Devonport are single en suite rooms.
Emily I am moving Greenwich with my husband , is it allowed to live with husband?
I’m not sure, I’d recommend emailing the school and they should be able to let you know.
