I have been sick and lost my appetite for about a month and lost a lot of weight. Nothing looked or tasted good to me. Then I found Mark and I am hooked on his videos. They have given me my appetite back. I am also bedridden for about a year now but get to travel and see the world through these videos. Thank you Mark ! Love you and your family. You bring me happiness !
I just discovered this channel. I appreciate Mark's genuine respect for different cultures and his intimate relationship with food. He has a way to blend in with the street culture.
I love the fact that you're never profane or rude for shock value and you always keep it classy. I appreciate that very much. Your food travels are amazing and informative and a real pleasure to watch. Keep up the awesome work Mark!
The way you describe a food with greatest of passion and a huge amount of love, always mark the food as best in the world. Even if you don’t like the food smile never leave your face that even make an ordinary or bad food as good as anything. Love of food is always obvious in your verdins.
I stumbled upon one of your old videos of you having jhal muri in Kolkata a few years back and that was when I realized your food videos are the only ones on RUclips that make me feel like I'm watching an old friend on video. Your demeanour, your expressiveness and especially your smile when you devour delicious food makes for a very pleasant viewing experience. I would love to meet you someday when I visit Thailand. Hope you're well.
As a Chanthaburi folk, you did good research and showed it via this video (and all other videos.) I accidentally found and watched your Peruvian food episodes, then accidentally became your regular RUclips fan - great job!
Hi Mark. I want to thank you posting these videos of Bangkok Thailand. My dad was a advisor to the thai navy back in the late 60's. We were eating a at a thai restaurant here in NJ. My mom was watching the videos while eating and brought back a lot of wonderful memories. I have 3 older brothers and 1 sister. I sent the videos to them. They were older and would remember more. Again thank you for sharing your wonderful adventures with your family to us. And I agree too much chillies. I can't wait to see more of your adventures.
Hi Mark, Ying and Micah. Thank you for another awesome video. I turned 40 last week and I was so excited because most of my specialists said that there was no way that I would see my 40th birthday. All my friends moaned about turning 40 but not me. I'm in Christchurch at the moment which is at the opposite end of the country from where I live. It was a risk being away from my hospital which is the biggest in New Zealand because I can bleed out within an hour but they have a hospital down here and I brought my medical notes and life if too short to stop living even though I'm absolutely exhausted I just feel happy to be here. It's the first holiday I've had that I haven't been rushed into hospital. We went to street markets and even though I couldn't eat the food I found myself thinking Mark would eat that.
Mary Kay thank you for your kind words it means a lot to me. Unfortunately I've crashed since coming home but that was to be expected and the trip was worth it. I went with Mum and Dad and we now have more memories of time together to cherish. I'm progressively getting worse but I have awesome palliative care doctors and I choose to stay positive even though I'm in a lot of pain etc. I hope all is going well with you and your family. Xx
when i first subscribed to this channel I was wondering how Mark had 4.7 million viewers. Now I know why, he's an amazing guy and it comes through in his videos. Great job Mark
I love living vicariously through these videos. I can't afford to travel, AND I'm ridiculously picky. Just the thought of eating certain foods will make me retch.
Here, in the Philippines, we have a version of that, but it is round and flat, white, we put white sugar and toasted sesame seeds on top. It’s so delicious. We call it “Palitaw”, which can be translated as “to float”, coz they float when they’re already cooked.
I felt the same when I started watching. I remember how awesome it was to have so many back videos to watch. Just one warning they will make you very hungry. I was struggling to put weight on and Mark helped me to do this because watching him enjoy food taught me that I can look forward to eating instead of eating to live. It's painful for me to eat because I've had all but one metre of intestine removed and many other medical issues. So in all serioisness this channel has saved my life. Have fun Watching the videos. Mark, Ying and Micah are a really lovely, open family that work in perfect unison. I hope that you have a great day.
That slow roasted sticky rice looks yummy! The freshness of the food is the best thing about eating in markets! Local ingredients, home cooking and aunties preparing tasty dishes.....Great content as always Mark!
Love all your shows. I have seen all of your shows. Your description of food and emotions relating to taste surely makes me want to taste all those foods....its the best food show I have seen by far...Thanks Mark..
How do you manage to stay so fit after eating so much! You are amazing Mark. Ive started following you a couple of days back and i cant stop binge watching your food journey! Its incredible to see how much you respect every grain in your plate and the passion that you have towards food is commendable! All the best man. May god bless you with amazinggggly scrumptious food always :)

Mahalo nui Mark!!!! I'm from Hawaii, and you've made me fall in love with the culture and food from all over Asia, especially in Thailand and Malaysia 🥰🥰🥰. One day I hope to be able to visit all these places you've featured on your site. Keep finding more food gems, I'll be waiting for your next video
Mark,. I loved you taking us to these little known out the way places in Thailand. Thank you for letting us see all the different food choices. Amazing.
One thing I am noticing is that Asian nations seem to do street food preparation and serving in a very eco-friendly way. Love the use of banana leaves, bamboo sticks, etc. The food is so fresh and mouth watering. I wish we here in America did the same.
I fell behind my Mark Weins schedule. I am helping a cousin get married, me nan get to wherever she’s going, and my goodness me there goes a few weeks of my life. So here I am, commenting very late, but still enthusiastically cheering you on. I am grateful for the insightful and delicious content you produce. You don’t insult our intelligence by doing mundane or safe things. You challenge us to try something new and add a “little bit” of chili flakes. I want you to know that your positivity and love for all food really brightens my day and makes way for a good feeling inside my heart. Wishing you all the best and looking forward marathoning through the vids ❤️🌶🔥❤️🌶🔥❤️🌶🔥
Miguel Bravo that, and his casually dumping a huge amount of chilli flakes. Mark's love of spicy foods even amaze a lot of people from my country (Indonesia). Always love his food adventures around the world and his appreciation with food and culture

Mark I love this channel so much. Your enthusiasm, variety and the immaculate quality of your filming makes this so enjoyable to watch. All the best, keep doing what you're doing!
I love all his videos! It seems to me that the sponsors just want to steal the ingredients and dishes from these poor people without compensation, but we enjoy the adventure of different places and food. I might not never be able to travel to all these places so it's like he takes us along for the ride.
Mr. Mark. I love your videos. They make me jealous your able to experience so many different types of cultures and food. But I’m so happy you and your family get to experience all of these different cultures. One of these days hopefully I’ll be able to join you and have the funds to do so. Good luck with your quest sir, and God bless your family. Wish you the best.

Little bit of Chile flakes... my mouth is watering in such a good way. My dream is to visit the less traveled parts of Thailand to expose my sons and I to the culture and the food. I truly believe that the first step to understanding a culture and country starts at the table.
I'm visiting Thailand myself soon and extremely looking forward to the street food. Any tips on what markets/restaurants to go to and which to avoid? Love your videos though, keep up the great work!

I love your enthusiasm, its infectious.
*_Mark Wiens should be the spokesperson for Thai food! His facial expressions during food tasting could sell a LOT !_*
Don't try to tell me that 'hungry' is not an emotion.
Because I can feel it in my soul!

Your natural enthusiasm for food is infectious (not the deadly type) and we could almost taste it 😋
Persians and Thai foods , makes food much and much tastier, love it.
Little bit of Chili flakes.. adds a whole tablespoon. This is why I love you Mark.
