people there is something worth talking about, the Carpathia. that horn would have been the first thing the Titanic Survivors would have heard coming to their rescue, the little hero ship.
As far as any account of the rescue says there's no evidence it blew her whistle, the first sign it gave to the survivors that rescue wasn't far away was to fire off rockets every few minutes, im sure to anyone sitting in those boats in the freezing cold the sight of the rockets bursting in the sky must have been a sight for sore eyes.

Imagine you're fishing on the North Atlantic, close to the spot where Titanic sank, and you just hear her horn in the distance. Now that would be scary.
I, not being a sound engineer, would suspect the recording of the horn has degraded to the point of almost being unsalvageable. If there was a recording made back then the from todays perspective inferior microphone technology did not help with the preservation
Finally something new! Some guys actually built a replica of Titanic's whistles and tested them recently: they sound great. *Rex back at it again with the screaming. What the heck was that?! XD*
In north Watford (north of London) in the 1950s there was a factory called Yeatmans which produced a product known as 'Sunny Spread'. On the roof was a huge horn shaped (to me) like a giant spider. I was told that it came off the old Mauretania scrapped prior to WWII.
Absolutely love the sound of Queen Mary’s horn. And I find it amazing that, although it’s technically not exactly legal due to current maritime law, QM2 has one of Queen Mary’s horn. That typon horn sounding at 55 hertz is just beautiful

MV Georgic and QM2 have similarities in sound! Those sort of horns really give eerie vibes like your in the middle of the Atlantic hearing the echo from those sounds. Spooky but on top of the world!
I was on the fwd. mooring station onboard the Queen Mary in Long Beach. Minding my own business checking out a grand and majestic piece of history when that thing suddenly blasted off. I believe I died there for a second as I was completely unaware and had not seen the warning sign when entering the area. Never ever had such a fright before in my life, bone rattling! I almost took a dump in my dungarees😅

And It’s unfortunate to see this video use a lot of fake whistles and horns. There’s also better recordings he could have used. motor Vessel Georgic, one of the last true White Star Liners, has a melodic quality to her horn that reminds me of a deep organ stop, either a 16 footer tuned to its lowest or even a faux or true 64 footer
