      I have been making tons of gnome pattern because so many people requested them. I have gnomes for every holiday (but some are not released yet), I have occupational gnomes, and I have a mile long list of other types of gnomes that have been requested from sports to princess to fairies. Hopefully this will be a long series.

    Oh sweetheart, a magic circle, take your yarn wrap around 2 fingers once, then twice, leaving space in between. Take your hook dip under the 1string grab the 2nd string and pull it under the string in back to front motion, pull through. Without releasing the circle, grab the working yarn, yarn over, chain 1. Voila, you have magic circle. You can now work in the round. Easy peasy.

    I had problems with the body and the hat, well gnome came fat😮 and the hat to small, but I finished it. I'm doing it again with a D crochet hook. Let's see what happens

    • @WindingRoadCrochet
      @WindingRoadCrochet  11 месяцев назад +1

      It is a simple pattern. You can make the gnome taller, though he is meant to be sitting down and not standing. You can also work extra hat rows to make the hat larger. Just increase by 3 every other row.
      I am curious, did you use the same color of yarn for the hat and body? One issue I have had is that some saturated color yarns are thicker than the other colors. For example, my gnome bodies in red are too big for a hat in a different color.
      If you look at the stitch count, the hat should be big enough to lay over the top two rows of the body. Also make sure that you are not closing up the body. It should remain open and the hat will close it up.

      Everyone has their preference. There are written patterns for all of these gnomes, you can find them here: www.windingroadcrochet.com/gnome-patterns/ I think there is close to 30 different styles of gnomes now.
