Chinnamasta "Self-Decapitated Goddess"

Means,Her left foot forward in battle, she holds her severed head and a knife. Naked, she drinks voluptuously the stream of the blood nectar flowing from her beheaded body. The jewel on her forehead is tied with a serpent. She has three eyes. Her breasts are adorned with lotuses. Inclined towards lust, she sits erect above the god of love, who shows signs of lustfulness. She looks like the red hibiscus.
Chhinnamasta" is associated with the concept of self-sacrifice or getting rid of unwanted Desire, as well as the awakening of the Kundalini.
The name "Chhinnamasta" is compound of two words: the first is "Chinna" meaning isolated and "Masta" meaning head. Thus, Chhinnamasta is the one who is without head or a severed head. She severed her head by own and hold in one hand, as a symbol of self sacrificing.
She is also known with other names like Chhinnamastika Prachanda Chandika. Her appearance is fully different form other Goddess, as a fearsome, awful or furious aspect of of divine mother, among ten Maha-Vidyas. Character wise, She combines all the three Gunas, namely, "Satwa, Rajas and Tamo", and hence is well known as "Trigunmayee" (one who have all three types of natural properties or Gunas). She represents the change of cycle in the Universe.
Everything that is in the Universe is related to this cycle. When the deterioration is more than the creation, it causes her prominence and the process is reversed and once again,creation is more than deterioration. She is also famous by her another name called "Vajra-Vairochiynea" because of legendary demons Hiranyakashyap, Vaiorchan etc. Adoration of Goddess Chhinnamasta, and her existence can also be found in Jainism and Buddhism. In Buddhism she is known as Chhinnamunda Vajravarahi.
She indicates towards an eternal truth that, life is nourished by death and life, death and sex is inter-related with each other and the ultimate destiny of sexual desire is to perpetuate more life. She is a symbol of self-control, control over ever-growing desire,which must be achieved before undertaking successful yogic practice. She represents the control of desire during Yogic practice and the suppression of sexual lust.

The head represents the center of the five senses; if she cuts, it represents the awakening of the sixth sense. The three streams of blood represent ida, pingla and Sushmna. As we know to attain this higher state, you should control your desire; that is why she is dancing over the kama deva and rathi.

According to Pancharatna Grantha, Parvathi, accompanied by Dakini and Varini, goes to the Mandakini River to take a bath. Her complexion darkens like Kali as she swells with so much love. The friends appeal to her for food, after-all she is the Mother of the Universe. They demanded that their hunger be satisfied at once. Mother laughs and with compassion, cuts her own head. Blood spurted in three directions. Dakini and Varnini drink from the two directions and the Goddess also drank her own blood from the central spurt. Then she replaces her own head to come to normal. This episode gives her the name ‘Chinnamasta’ the goddess who demonstrates extreme courage to make a symbolic sacrifice.

I've looked for mantra songs about Chinnamasta Maa for years and never found this channel, which conveys the dark, tribal, pure awesomeness and intensity of the Tantric Goddesses like nothing I have ever heard anywhere else. Chinnamasta: the hidden meaning is the eradication of the ego,(Ego = the identification with body and personality.) When you go beyond the sense organs of the body and the clinging nature of the mind, you meet with Chinnamasta. Notice that her severed head is not dead, but alive and very much aware. This means that, the consciousness has transcended the body and mind into a realm of limitless cosmic awareness. Chinnamasta frees the yogi from the slavery of the sense organs and the delusions of the mind. Standing On either side are her attendants Yogini and Dakini. They are drinking from the two streams of pranic force, representing Ida and Pingala. While Chinnamasta's severed head drinks from the middle stream of Brahmanadi, ie, Sushumna. The pranic currents on both Ida and Pingala goes up to Ajna and recycle back to muladhar chakra. But Sushumna begins at Muladhar, just penetrates the Ajna, crosses the darkness and reaches the highest realm of Akula, ie, Sahasrar chakra. So, the devotee of Chinnamasta should walk the path of Sushumna channel and not be deluded by the sun (Pingala) or the moon (ida). Sushumna brings mukti /nirvana, but ida and Pingala bring rebirth.

And more over,the dusmahavidya are उग्र(aggressive) powers which usually a simple man is unable to attain because it requires a number of strict rules to follow. If someone is not completely, truely and strictly dedicated,it could harm.

I wanna share my real experience, I will not talk in details but jese tak ye message puchna h phoch jayga once I was stuck in professional web I did my best to solve my problem, I do what ever I can , 24/7 prayer paat Pooja mantar jaap everything.....after 3 months of failure lickly I heard chhinnmasta maa name on some podcast , I felt she choose me to let me know her,after that I just chant her 108 names once jo 3 mahine ma Pooja paat mantra se nhi hua wo maa k name se 2 din ma hogya or ese hua mje maa na pata bhi nhi chlne diya, sach ma MAA ko jis rup ma bhi pukaro agr intentions Sacha h tho Jo jarur ate h❤
The two devi's beside her is dakini and yogini. They r the daughters of mother chinnamasta devi. Her daughters request her to feed them, because they were very hungry. Mother told them that I have to find some foods for u all, but they denied her opinion, they were so hungry that they cannot wait for a minute, they were starving.
So mother chinnamasta devi slaughted her throat and feed them her own blood to satisfy their hunger.
She is an avatar of Mother Mahakali.

It is belived that there are two chinnamasta shaktipeeth. One is kangra shaktipeeth , here goddess sati s head has fallen. Goddess chintapurni is worshipped here and bhairava here is worshipped as rudra mahadev. Location is kangra , 1km una district, himachal pradesh, india . Second is ranchi shaktipeeth. Here goddess sati s both feet has fallen. Goddess chinnamastika and kabandha bhairava is worshipped. Location is Ranchi , damodar river , deogarh , dhanbad, jharkand , india

(Sanskrit: छिन्नमस्ता, , "She whose head is severed"), often spelled , and also called and and (in western states of India), is a Hindu goddess. She is one of the Mahavidyas, ten goddesses from the esoteric tradition of Tantra, and a ferocious aspect of Devi, the Hindu Mother goddess. The self-decapitated nude goddess, usually standing or seated on a divine copulating couple, holds her own severed head in one hand and a scimitar in another. Three jets of blood spurt out of her bleeding neck and are drunk by her severed head and two attendants.
Chhinnamasta is a goddess of contradictions. She symbolises both aspects of Devi: a life-giver and a life-taker. She is considered both a symbol of sexual self-control and an embodiment of sexual energy, depending upon interpretation. She represents death, temporality, and destruction as well as life, immortality, and recreation. The goddess conveys spiritual self-realization and the awakening of the kundalini - spiritual energy. The legends of Chhinnamasta emphasise her self-sacrifice - sometimes coupled with a maternal element - sexual dominance, and self-destructive fury.

I had sleep paralysis last month. I don't know for some reason I used to see a woman standing in the corner of my room with long curly hair and sky blue skin tone, I was terrified of what I was seeing but the next morning I realised that it was maa kali, then I came with a conclusion that she want to share something with me, I don't have idea what to do so I came here, and now I encountered with her standing right behind me resting a hand on head with love. So I think there is some kind of power beyond science.
